The "signature" style lid makes it more expensive than other comparable Le Creuset pans, but it really does look the part and is worth it, in my opinion.The pan itself heats up quickly and evenly and the food is cooked well.I agree with another reviewer saying that the small handle gets too hot to touch, but that's easily fixed by using a small handle holder.I've washed both the pan and the lid in the dishwasher since purchase and they've always come out brand new. No doubt it's an expensive pan, but worth it if you enjoy cooking.

For a larger saucepan it has a lovely balance even when fairly full. The second handle give you a level of comfort when it is full. Seems to use less energy than my previous saucepan so great in the current climate.

A great piece of equipment for any kitchen, strong but not over heavy. Well designed to help it to have a good balance when full. Heats contents quickly so may reduce energy costs.
Great pan that clean well. Much lighter for me now after years of using the heavier cast LC. Which I loved. I hope these will prove to be as long lasting.
We have a number of this series of stainless steel pans. They have all so far been great. The heat is more even distributed, they are easy to handle being quite light, & relatively easy to clean.The thinness of the SS layer, though has one draw back, it can ding easier.I'd wish SS pan makers would polish the interior as much as the exterior, as this would make them a more non-stick free surface and less need to use SS cleaner. This we know from an early series of Logostina's that we own from the early 1990's.
This Saucepan is the perfect addition to my kitchen. The size is slightly larger than the the one that came with my other-brand set. Quality seems very good. The lid knob does get quite hot.
We have the cast iron Le Creuset pots as well but due to their weight it makes it complicated to handle when cooking with my very young (“helpful”) children. So, we decided to invest in the gorgeous stainless steel 3ply and they’re wonderful!! Easy to clean and care for and lighter weight than our cast irons, though produce just as evenly cooked meals as the cast irons. My oldest daughter loves to help with clean up and these pots are much easier for her to lift in the sink while washing.
Saucepan performing slightly better than expected. I have a 5-ply saucpan, and the Crueset is lighter, plus it seems to heat up faster. Cleaned it several times in the dishwasher and have not had any staining or discoloration. I saved the glass lids from the old non-stick saucepans and use them with the new purchase. I find glass lids easier to work with.
Love these pots, solid, shiny, easy to clean.The lid is thin and light weight, but guess it doesn’t need to be anything other than that. So far very happy.
