I was hoping this product would live up to the hype, but sadly it did not. It made my lips break out in sores. I've only had this reaction to one other product before, and this has different ingredients. I'm not sure what the culprit is, but be warned if you have sensitive skin and lips. Le Labo doesn't accept returns, and this lip balm is expensive. It's also a very thin consistency and needs constant reapplying. Unfortunately, I can't think of a positive when it comes to this balm. I've tried hundreds of lip balms for online reviews, and this is one of the worst ones.

Awesome vegan lip balm

I recently tried the trick of exfoliating my lips with a toothbrush. I accidentally rubbed too hard and had extremely chapped lips for a few days before I decided to buy a good lip balm to help the situation. This lip balm was perfect and nourished my cracked lips. I will say that the lip balm does have a bit of shine, so if you were looking for a completely matte lip balm I would look elsewhere.I see other reviewers mentioned that they didn't like the container. Good balm

At first I was a little disappointed as I thought that Le labo would be scented in some way or herbal… and this is totally fragrance free and quite a regular textured balm. However the balm itself is really great for dry lips and I use it lots- has a similar texture to burts bees but is a clear balm. I’m not sure if it’s worth it for the price

Grainy, gritty

I really wanted to like this. It moisturizes my lips and I like the general consistency. It's not sticky, which is nice. Doesn't have a fragrance, also nice. But it has this weird grainy, sandy consistency that doesn't go away even once it's kind of melted into the warmth of your lips. I was hoping I had just gotten a bad batch but according to the other reviews this is normal. I would not buy again for this reason. Kiehls or Glossier balms basically are the same, without the strange grittiness.

Magical

I have very dry/'liney' lips, and have been on the hunt for a lip balm that really does nourish and doesn't require constant top-ups. This is it. Not only am I a total fan of how this feels texture-wise, very soft, and buttery, but this really is a nourishing lip balm. Not to mention I love how small and sleek this is for on the go! Definitely a repurchase and recommendation from me!

Terrible

Worst lip balm ever! No idea why it has good reviews. Firstly it has such a weird stale old smell, the texture is so odd it's too runny and filled with lumps which makes it look and feel so weird on the lips, it feels watery once applied and just smells weird. I had to wash it off my mouth as soon as I used it and I'll never use it again. Total waste of money and would not recommend one bit! Better off using Vaseline.

Thick and but not super moisturizing

The consistency of the balm is thick but it's not moisturizing. It chapped my lips more after putting it on. I think I might be allergic to one of the ingredients. If you're allergic to lanolin I would skip this one. There's better out there for the price. You're paying just for the name.

Very refreshing, but not sticky

To be honest this is exactly what I want from lip balm - it doesn’t feel like you have film on your lips but does leave them feeling hydrated. I think about it more like hand cream for lips. Leaves them looking fresh and is a good base for a lipstick. I also don’t mind the scent, makes me think about Le Labo as it’s very peculiar but not in your face at all.

Worst lip balm ever

I would have given this product zero stars if there was such an option. Unfortunately this does absolutely nothing for my lips. In fact if I kept reapplying this literally every 30 seconds it still would do nothing. This is the thinnest and worst lip balm I have ever tried. You might as well use regular cream on your lips and it would do more for them than this. I felt sorry to throw it in the bin considering the price so I am using it as a hand and foot cream now. It goes to show how thin it is. Highly recommend finding something that actually does something for your lips rather than this.

I use several Le Labo products—perfume, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, but this was a bust. It’s got a subtle gritty texture, at first I thought I somehow got dirt on the tube. It’s a bit too liquid to make it easy to apply with your fingers. And, with its more fluid consistency, it makes it awkward to dispense from a tube.
