Race is based on being in Canada.You can not beat this little guy for the price. There are tool with more but not one of them is as stable as this one. Most cheap tools the pliers are too sloppy for any real work, not these!Downside. The edges are crazy sharp! I spent 20 minutes filing down all the stamped handle edges then it was nice to use. Perfect little pocket tool aside from that.

I used to carry a Buck 110 everyday. A friend has a Wingman and uses it daily. The pocket clip doesn’t snag, and it’s just short enough to not jab the thigh. 4th year now, I use it numerous times a day, from clipping threads and finger nails, coring an apple or pear, to soldering electronics, bending an R-Clip, tightening a hose clamp, scraping rust, measuring an acorn nut size, even cracking pecans. Hasn’t ben sharpened in more than a year. All joints are solidly tight. Looks brand new. Disassembles and reassembly is easy; cleans really easy with WD40. Gonna gift one to each of my three sons this Christmas.

I get alot of plastic packaging like tools, power tools and electronics that come in that bubble plastic and this package opener on this tool is amazing to open them up. I needed a 2 hand opening knife, so I can get through building knife regulations and I don't want issues with cops. This knife has gone through security checkpoints without any problems. The wire cutters work better than my Knifeless Rebar, which that's awesome at this price. The toolset is fairly good at this price point. It's a very good and comfortable knife to use, which shocked me because I have more expensive pocket knives that are not as comfortable as this. I am not saying it's the most comfortable knife I used, but for the $40 price point, it's one of the most comfortable pocket knives I used.

First off this is my first proper multitool. Always carried a pocket knife but wanted more. I've had the more expensive leathermans in my hands and there is no comparison. The body is stamped the pliers are silly tight, the flat head is too big to fit any normal flat head screw, thankfully the file end makes a better flat head then the flat head. I spent a good 45 minutes filing all the edges down to round them over and it make it feel better in hand. Ok, all of that out the way it's tough, done well in my pocket for a year now even laying in the snow, dropping it, etc. Far more handy then a pocket knife and it does come with the standard Leatherman warranty. I'll go up to the 100 range next time but I really wanted one with a pocket clip.
To me. the biggest selling point is the pocket clip. Being a little lighter and not have to strap on a carry pouch is huge. I don't know how I got by before without a package opener! Not sure how many times I almost cut myself opening a purchase wrapped in hard plastic using a knife blade. The Rev is the tool I've been waiting for! Thank you Leatherman!!
I own 9 Leatherman® tools now. I've been accumulating them as needed for decades. I decided to grab a Rev® for use mainly around the house. I didn't yet have a Leatherman® with the package opener, and since we get a lot of boxes delivered here I decided the Rev® would be perfect. I was right. A couple of packages arrived two days after receiving the new tool. The package opener tool is pretty slick. It worked just as I expected of a Leatherman®. The knife is handy and perfectly shaped for my needs. And who doesn't need an extra pair of pliers? I'd recommend the Rev® to anyone for casual use.
Excellent multi-tool, somewhat reminiscent of the capabilities of the original multi-tool with the ability to access the knife externally and the ability to lock the blade. Due to it's price and size, this is a perfect tool for Scouts. It has most of the needed tools. The original leatherman offered a better file and awl punch, both of which are useful. The addition of a small second (spare) blade to screwdriver side would be excellent, but there is a box opener that could be used for small game such as fish in an emergency. The built in pocket clip is also excellent. While many current tools offered by them have every conceivable device, they have grown large and heavy. This is probably the most useful for size and weight in their current lineup, short of the PS4 ... The obvious thing, looping it around the pocket clip, puts it at the wrong end of the tool, near the pivots of the pliers and knife blade, rather than at the wrist end of the handle. The "lanyard hole" at the end of the larger handle is not great either. A better place would be at the end of the smaller handle, which fits against the base of your thumb and stays in the same place with respect to your wrist while using the pliers.Second, the pocket clip isn't detachable/swappable. It's uncomfortable for left-handed use.Third, the Rev feels needlessly heavy. It'd get carried around more if it were less uncomfortable in the pocket and less weight in the backpack. I don't know, maybe some Leatherman owners regularly use theirs as a hammer, and the company is building for that.

That apparently did not stop Leatherman from trying to shatter boundaries and snub convention with this particular offering. When you're really trying to bear down and get a grip on life, the jaunty little curved grips that some engineer though would be a good idea send your hand on a wonderful adventure to the "Land of No Leverage". Add to that the sharp interior edges of the grip, and you have a recipe for disaster. Buy stock in Band-Aid before use! The darn thing is also heavy, and I'm not sure why, as it has less functions than an Atari 2600 (which, for the record, I was aware of and OK with when I bought it, but while I'm complaining, I'll list it ...
