LED Lenser H14R.2 Rechargeable Headlamp

$190.00

(462 reviews)

The rechargeable Led Lenser H14R was previously the brightest headlamp offered by the H-series. In the new version, LED Lenser has increased its brightness from 220 to up to 1000 lumens. This allows the new Led Lenser H14R.2 to shine in a performance dimension that meets the demands of expeditions and disaster relief workers, and is more than sufficient for ambitious trekking. The ergonomic fit, comfortable operation with a new switch concept, and the ability to connect an additional battery box via the USB port are also impressive. Thanks to this option, you can almost indefinitely extend the runtime of the Led Lenser H14R.2 by using multiple battery boxes. The multifunction switch "Wheel Switch" on the battery compartment can also be switched to act as a rear light or optionally display the battery capacity.

2021. H14R.2 a really bright versatile headlamp

2022. The H14R.2 is- a super powerful single LED rechargeable headlamp. Superior amount of spot or spread light! OK strap. Dimmer is kludgey on the back. HL7 dimmer is much better. Battery box seems brittle and easy to damage. On/Off switch would have been better on top like the HL7. Difficult to turn on/off with either hand. The zoom is better than the HL7 yet not near as easy to use as the HL4. 2 hands are required to zoom. The lamp and switches on the light seem very weatherproof. The charge light and red safety light is great.

These are possibly the best LED headlight. Working nights for many years and trying many lights, I find these to be perfect for a professional user. The bigger XEO19R are a good light but on your head are too heavy to sit without tightening the straps too much that you end up with a head ache after a while - though they are a fantastic light. The smaller MH11 is good, but battery run time isn't great Also the H14R.2 can run on at least 3, maybe 4 different batteries - the pack, 2x18650 LION , AA alkaline and though I haven't tried it, I'd expect rechargeable NIMH AA. The strobe function is from high speed flicker to around once a second. I'm not very easy going on my gear, and just had a curly cord break near the battery pack giving intermittent output. For Joe average, I reckon these would last a lifetime! You will not regret buying one. And what's more you can buy replacement elastic head straps when they stretch and end up too smelly from long hours of use on hot muggy nights

Does what it states on the box.

Very good light output, adjustments for focus (range) and dimming allow me to put the right amount of light just where I want it. Some of the less used functions such as flash (strobe or signal mode) are a bit fiddly requiring multiple presses of the switch but my main use is in low power mode in the dark countryside, about two hours every night, and for that it's great. I read criticisms about tight headband, heavy to wear poor battery life and not giving light at the stated 300 metres but find none of these to be true. I've had motorbikes with headlights less powerful than this! It's as comfortable to wear as a hat and I don't notice the weight even with the battery pack on the headband.

Great Light great battery life

I was so impressed with the older version of this light that I bought a new one and I wasn't disappointed. I'm a Search and Rescue volunteer and I recommend this light for everyone on our team. As you can imagine the light is extremely bright. I can search all night (6-8 hours) and not worry about the battery. As you know the light is zoomable which comes in handy when searching dark canyons or hillsides for a missing person. The light has a lockout feature so it won't get turned on by accident. You can dial back the brightness with the wheel on the battery pack. You can also activate the red light on the back of the battery pack. This might not seem like a big deal but it makes it easy to identify team members from a distance at night. Great headlight, works longer than any other I’ve had!
29 June 2022

I was working in the baggage compartments of aircraft in for inspection. I wanted a rechargeable headlight but didn’t know which one to get. One of the tool trucks had this on display and I ordered it on his recommendation. It lasts longer than any other headlight I’ve had! The only time it didn’t make it through the shift is when I didn’t charge it the night before!

We use our headlamps for fishing. Have 3 of the MH10. Bought the HR14 because was attracted by the 1000 lumen rating and it is a bright light but the beam is fixed and can't be focused like the MH10 can be. So 14 might be "brighter" in general but due to the broad beam I wound up using the MH10 instead.Overall am disappointed with the purchase.

I bought this headtorch around three years ago, and it is an amazing bit of kit. It's difficult to fault it. I use it pretty much all the time. I'm part of a local wildlife group, and it is in constant use night after night each Spring and Summer when I am out conducting surveys for amphibians in local nature reserves. The rechargeable battery lasts around two hours on full beam, and I find it very useful to be able to dim the light to whatever is appropriate. It very handily has a red light at the back which then lights up 'green' when it's fully charged. The range of the beam is really impressive, and I love being able to change the beam from 'spotlight' to a really broad beam. If you're looking for the best headtorch for under 120 - when this one is on sale, that is, then look no further. I'm saving up to buy the next LED model up, which has 2000 lumens, but is very annoyingly never on sale! Lol. (I also have a 3200 lumen LED X21R torch, but that isn't so much a torch as a flippin' searchlight!)

The light is nice. I’ve had many of these. The problem is the battery clip that secures the battery case. It’s very easy to break this clip. (Putting batteries in and out) I’ve sent so many H14R2’s back for replacement because of this. I work with Boeing jets at night and this light is great for that. The light is bright. I’ve turned a lot of mechanics on to this light. They’ve bought quite a few of them. That’s my only gripe with the light! I’m gonna upgrade to the 18HRm.

Quality useful headlamp
29 October 2021

I purchased to use in redwoods forest in northern California to survey for northern spotted owls at night. The powerful adjustable beam widthwas useful when searching for birds long distance in the trees at night and for use as an extra headlight while riding logging roads and trails on four-wheelers through sketchy steep technical trails. After dropping it multiple times on rocks in creeks and traveling at high speeds on the four-wheeler I have found it has a rugged construction .My one gripe is the flashing red light that turns on the battery back too easily turns on while the light is being transported in your bag, backpack, etc. It drains the battery when you aren't ready for it. I would prefer a switch that does not turn on when it bumps up against anything.

These are the best
23 December 2021

Love these for work. I’m a field mechanic and this is the best I found so far. They are a little heavy but when I need to see a work area I love it. Everybody else comes up a want to hold a flashlight for me then they turn there light off after they look to see if there light is even on, funny. Only thing it needs is a better way to attach to a hard hat, I use zip ties but it still flops around. The light last me about two years till the change connection fails in the battery section. My use is extreme so I have no problems buying another light. Maybe a magnet change system, but not a deal breaker at all. Just bought two more for Christmas gifts.
