This is an amazing set!!! I stopped building legos for quite a while and this was my first set after a 10 year hiatus. Very interesting build with amazing details in the building. The instruction booklet also includes a write up on the Louvre and little fun facts on the instruction pages. I highly recommend this set!! Very good value for money!

I love the way this set looks, it is a stunning display piece which I look at every day. The set is surprising, it has both a modern, contemporary, and a classic look.Whoever designed it did a great job, it is truly a delight to look at. The little touches are unexpected, but very well done.Get this if you can.

This is a nice model and the build method for the pyramid is a tour de force. But only a small portion of the museum is displayed and this does not do justice to the Louvre's architecture and I.M. Pei's renovation. Thus, I decided to build out the full plaza: the reflecting ponds, a slightly enlarged pyramid, and pavilions on all three sides. The photos show the result.

This set is very realistic, with lots of small and intricate pieces. Yet, I think it was overpriced because of the piece count, the fact that there were lots of pieces meant LEGO sold it for more, even though they are tiny.I think the set looks just like the real thing, and I like the fact it has the name and a black “edge” thing around it, as if it is a sculpture in a museum.
Product description was good; shipping was expedited in good time; when product showed up the original packaging was damaged and re-taped! Daughter was excited and put it together over holiday break, and not Surprising, it was missing pieces!
This was a birthday gift for my 12 year old grandson. He is into architecture and landmark buildings. He was very pleased with this kit and completed it in one day. I am pleased with the quality of this item and the time frame for arrival.I would strongly recommend this Lego set and plan on purchasing additional sets when I am able.
I have always been fascinated with the Louvre, the blend of classic and modern architecture. The history of the building from a garrison to a palace to the current world renowned home of the most valuable painting every. The Louvre has lived a life of history seen wars and battles, houses unfathomable stories from the past 900 years.I enjoyed the small model of the Louvre and the detail in such a small structure. I am hoping to see a larger version of this in the future.
The Architecture series has had some really great sets this year, but this one has quickly become the favorite. It's about the same size as the Trevi Fountain, and features as many fun and quirky details. The Louvre adds a nice bit of color and architectural variety to the series. This set may be a bit more difficult for people with larger fingers, like myself though, because of the great amount of small pieces and the corners they need to be snapped in.The only critical critique I have with the set is the pyramid design. What the main building has in the detail, this part lacks. While it's unique in how the designer created it, the shape and scale seem a bit funny. Despite that, I adore this set and it would be a great addition to anyone that loves the ... Was smaller than I expected. It's certainly not huge and the photos give the sense that it's larger than it really is.Still a great experience and my young kids were able to help a lot and be a big part of the building process.Booklet was beautiful but pages came out of the binding and became loose. Really should be higher quality and that shouldn't happen with light use on a pricey item.
The scale of the set allows for a lot of detail to be represented for the older structure, but the top of the pyramid suffers from this. The majority of the pyramid looks great. I think if it had a consistent appearance top to bottom like the one in real life, it would have been better. The reflecting pools and entrance are great. Love everything about the older structure including the windows in the back. Wanted to build more of it.
