I've only recently begun collecting some of the Speed Champions lineup and I HAD to pick this one up. For one, I'm a longtime fan of the F40 and second, I feel it's a great companion piece to 10248. I love that you can build a standard F40 or the LM conversion (aka Competizione).The build is a bit different than other Speed Champions sets I've put together with some interesting techniques. I'm a bit confused by the color choice of the "seat" as it's grey in this set instead of red. Overall, the level of detail in such a small set is quite satisfying.I took my time putting it together while watching TV, so my 2 hour build time is a bit excessive. Most experienced builders should be able to knock it out in about an hour, maybe less.

Built this today with my kids. Bit too difficult for my 8 year old. Had to assist on several steps. Set is rated at higher age group, just keep that in mind if getting for younger builders.Build looks great. Have not put the stickers on yet, not sure if we will. Only issue I see is the front is a bit square. It is a small detail and the rest of the model more then makes up for this.In my humble opinion the McLaren Senna is better. If you are only getting one from the series this year I'd recommend the McMaren. If your getting two, this Farrari will not disappoint.

After building the Ford Mustang Speed Champions set a week or so ago I quickly bought in to the series and this was number two.Really like the scale and detail again and the options available in the wheels, lights, splitter and wing all adds to the personalisation.Great build again and a big hit with my sons this morning.I've now built 4 Speed Champions cars and they're all great builds. Would definitely recommend them, and this one in particular.
We were at the Lego store looking for something for my 2 year-old toddler and came out with something for me. This is the first Lego set that I build in more than 25 years and it was a fun way to come back to this hobby. It is not hard to build if you follow the instructions with care. The instructions are clear but there were pieces that did not keep a good proportion between the actual piece and the illustration (eg. The hood). The quality is fine for a $15 set, but not exactly quality display (before building it I was thinking about having it displayed at my office but now that I finished I would not bother if the kid plays with it). Will buy and build at least two sets in the same price/difficulty range prior to upgrading to the next tier!
As a big car fan I've been eyeing this line for a very long time, and it did not disappoint. I finally decided to pick this F40 up and man, the box didn't do it justice. It's simply shocks me how good it looks in person. It is my favorite desk collectable I have right now. I love being able to quickly change it from a regular F40 to a Competizione. Also, the addition of the extra wheels and smoked headlights was a nice touch.
The Lego set is great. My issue is with the quality of the box I received. I purchased a couple of Lego Speed Champions sets and the boxes arrived in terrible condition. One was severely dented and the other had some of the box art ripped from the front of the box. If you are a collector, I would recommend not purchasing your set from Wal-Mart online.
This is one of the best if not THE BEST speed chamipons set ever.Credits to the designers able to design a small build and still captures the F40 looks.There are also some very interesting techniques used to create some of the side vents on the car.Bonus, you get a printed Ferrari shield 1 x 1 piece.I also have a video to demonstrate how to swap between the standard and alternate build here: https://youtu.be/1-GwMaKSyXYI personally prefer the alternate build, I like the road version more.I strongly recommend this set if you are a fan of Ferrari.

What people should know before buying is that Walmart uses a lot of independent sellers that double the actual retail price of items such as this car. Be careful not to let them get one over on you. I returned mine.
