Having missed out on collecting the original 2010 Burrow set (4840), I was determined to get this one! And I'm so glad I did! Out of the current Harry Potter sets of a similar price range, this has to be my favourite. Not only is the build a real fun one, the techniques used stop it from being monotonous or repetitive when building. But the real fun comes in the details within the set - without giving too much away, details are pulled from the books as well as the films and bring the set to life. One of my favourite details is the fireplace, the simplicity in the mechanism is wonderful and brings a charming play element to the set. The way the set opens up to reveal rooms and levels also makes it a wonderfully accessible play set. As a huge Potterhead I was overjoyed when I saw this set, and it did not disappoint! This is an amazing play-set that I feel is strong in both its displayability and playability. The mini figure selection is great, with a nice variety characters. LEGO designers did an excellent job constructing the Burrow, and overall the building experience was pleasant. With all that said, there are a number of stickers on window panels that are quite difficult to place, this is only an issue if you are a perfectionist like I am. My only other issue is the price, when put next to other sets of the same price, for example the Astronomy tower, this feels a bit small for the 100$ price tag. Overall this is an amazing set, and a must have for any Harry Potter fan!

This set looks excellent for the most part. The exterior has a good amount of variation in texture and the way the top levels are angled makes it feel like the real thing. I also liked that Lego used the brick textured bricks rather than using stickers which they have done on a number of recent sets which I find to be very lazy. The interior although cramped is well detailed with a lot of play space when opened up. The building process was enjoyable with little repetition or any difficult areas except for the fireplace feature which needed a bit of attention to stop it sticking.A good selection of minifigs and all well printed except for the chest of ”FenrirGreyback” which is printed far too grey and doesn’t match the figure on the packaging. This is a common problem for Lego printing on black. I also wish that “Bellartrix Lestrange” had some printing on her dress as it looks a bit plain.I do wish Lego would design these sets with all four walls but I suppose that would push the price up too much. I also think all the rooms needed more space.Unfortunately this set comes with a large number of stickers which I personally hate as I can never apply them perfectly and no spares are provided in case of mistakes.

Smyth's Toys mostly experience was excellent. Click and collect simple and easy to use. Staff were fairly disinterested though. The Lego kit itself was fine. But somewhere along the line they've lost their mojo, Harry Potter lego used to be full of clever references and fun elements that would involve moving parts. All this seems to have been swept away and the HP Lego are notlw fairly vanilla models of the movie sets
This lego set contains an exquisite amount of details and really captures the scene of the movie. It is obvious that a lot of work was put into designing and creating this set, from the uneven angle that the upper floors of the house sits on to the painting depicting the Weasley family on their vacation to Egypt, this set is almost an exact copy of the Burrow from the movies. If you happen to have the whomping willow set, you could even replicate the scene from the Chamber of Secrets when Ron, Fred, George and Harry arrive on the Ford Anglia.I highly recommend this set to anyone who adores both Harry Potter and legos as much as I do. Most importantly this set will bring a nice display and even enjoyment if you like playing and recreating scenes from the loved Harry ... MoreThis lego set contains an exquisite amount of details and really captures the scene of the movie. I love this set!It gives you an amazing building experience and is really fun to play with and as a bonus you get 8 amazing mini figures! The instructions were great but it is only slightly over priced.Mini figures include Bellatrix Lestrange, Fenrir Greyback, Nymphadora Tonks, Authur Weasley, Molly Weasley, Ron Weasley, Ginny Weasley and Harry Potter. You also get a pig, a brown owl and a Hedwig with outstretched wings.4 levels, 6 rooms and piles of fun!The front of the house slides open to reveal a sitting room and an interactive fire place. The fire place has flames which can turn green with a turn of a cog to access the flu network.Flames are also included from the scene when Bellatrix and Fenrir attack the burrow with fire.10/10!
I really loved this, and at the time, there were some deals that allowed me to get three free LEGO sets along with this one! Great build, I love the characters, and not too hard but also not too easy, there were parts where I felt challenged and I loved it! Super fun, bright colors that were amazing and I thought they would horrible together honestly but they clash so amazingly together! It's a perfect Christmas gift for sure. I only had one small problem. My wooden planks did not have the silver bolts that were on the picture, but I didn't really care, it looked great anyway, and if you aren't super bugged by it it's fine. Overall I would give this 1,000,000 stars out of 5 ;) and it's great!
The Burrow is by far, along with the Great Hall, my favourite HP set so far (I haven't built the huge Hogwarts yet, and still have to save to get DA, so that might change). Just so Burrowish. I built Privet Drive just before, and honestly, they are so contrasted that there's only to say that designers did a fab job. The only downside is, as usual for me, that it's film-cannon rather than book-cannon and therefore the flame thingy is useless. The other flame thingy, namely the rotating fireplace that can change from regular fire to floo powder fire, is brilliant. The whole crookedness of the house, the colourfullness, the attention to details, everything is excellent. Only missing chicken, cauldrons and wellies (that last bit probably not lego-compatible though). ... MoreThe Burrow is by far, along with the Great Hall, my favourite HP set so far (I haven't built the huge Hogwarts yet, and still have to save to get DA, so that might change). I'll add my own cauldrons and chicke, as well as a wild garden as described in the book.I had a really good 2.5 hours, grinning all the way through.
I am satisfied with this product, really enjoy playing with it, but there are a few things I hope to see changed. I liked that there are so many people and the small animals included. Loved to open the box and it was fully packed with only 7 bags even though such a large set. Love the 5 levels, huge house, that you can move out the bottom level, and that the fire moves.Complaints: needs more arrows to point to where things go (instructions), wish house was spaced out more (furniture), wish Harry's scar was more visible, that the fire in fireplace would turn, and that the levels connected more easily. I was missing 2 glass pieces for the windows. Bummed.Overall, fun to build, very cute, compact so it doesn't take up a lot of space, I recommend it.
To date this has to be one of my favourite Lego Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Kits that I've built. There are so many little details included in The Burrow that I was constantly going "oooohhhhh" as I built it. My particular favourite is the fireplace because you can change it from orange flames to green flames for when they use those all important pinches of Floo Powder. The only downsides to it that I could find where the number of stickers included with the kit - I have sausage fingers and trying to put stickers on accurately just doesn't happen so my builds never look as good as they could. The second one (and final) was that the clock is a standard clock and not the magical one detailed in the books and films.I thoroughly enjoyed the build from start to ... MoreTo date this has to be one of my favourite Lego Wizarding World Of Harry Potter Kits that I've built.
