LEGO City Passenger Airplane Set 60262

The main thing of interest in this set is, of course, the plane. A beautiful plane, well designed, and fun to build. Minifigs are not bad. But where this set fails a bit is with the kinda airport...... Very not appealing, not well designed, and not fun to play with. The airport is also not beautiful to display at all. I would have prefered only the plane in this set. Either a bigger plane for the same price, or either the same plane, but for a lower price. And in a seperate set, a really beautiful and bigger airport. It is quite a missed opportunity for an airport building... 3/5

Air Lego has arrived !

I bought this set solely for the airplane and figures. For me the plane is excellent. My only complaint is the engines could of been better...on to the rest of the set..the minifigures are great,but the rest of the set is kind of pointless except maybe the poppy star car because it fits in the plane. This set could of been better if it was just the plane,stairs, more passengers,and seats.the airport section is not a good addition to this set,and presents a wasted opportunity to make this set really great. I hope the next similar set is a cargo style plane with a loading vehicle,cargo,and a few figures.this set would of done great in that format,but over all I am very satisfied!

Cool plane

This plane is really cool and I was really excited when I got this set. The airport is a little confusing at times like where is the baggage place and why are there so few characters for the plane staff there should be maybe 6 for the price like three on the plane,two in the airport and 1 guy at the top. The plane does dip a little like some reviews have said but if you prop it up, take the car out or you don't hold the end then it's fine. the plane has nice flat bits in on the wing which is a nice attention to detail. The inside is a little cramped in the airport. Overall it's a good lane and a nice size as it's not to small as with two hands it can fly through the air without feeling precarious. The attachments on the trailer cargo car thing are really satisfying.

Fun play set with lots of details

We bought this set as Xmas present for our son, who is very enthusiastic about planes. The build itself was fun for my son, though I had to help him a lot because building some parts was challenging for him because of big size of the plane. (Little kids may have difficulty to hold the plane stable when mounting parts) However it is very funny to play and he loves all the details. The one problem we had is one of the wheels was missing in the box and therefore the plane itself does not stay as stable as it should be. Anyway overall it is a very good set and recommendable.

Great idea...but doesn’t work for playing

Our son was dreaming of an airplane to play with - and we got this for his birthday. The idea behind - is fantastic, the daddy figure with a baby and milk bottle, the airport, the open and close functions, the staircase and car that one can be put in...But it’s just absolutely unstable for playing. Basically we have been rebuilding this airplane about 3-5 times a day, I don’t even use instruction set anymore as we know it by heart. The second you try to lift this airplane up and move it from one place to another ( not even attempt to play “flying” with it) it crumbles like sand in the hands. The construction is just not stable enough. It’s been even unstable as you build it up and notice how weak/shaky all connections are. It’s such a pity, we have an entire collection from Lego 30 years ago - grandparents kept all whole and intact, and even our smallest one - 2,5 year old can play with those amazing fire engines with lights and sounds (30 years old!!!) and they never fall apart. From my opinion it’s just faulty design for the functionality of this airplane.

Huge Airplane, Really Fun Set!

The sheer size of the airplane makes this a must-buy! At this scale, many details can be represented and makes this set stand out among many others and would be a great addition to any City collection, provided you have the space. The extras are fun as well, the car carrier and terminal builds aren't particularly interesting builds, but add to playability. The only thing I dislike is that the terminal is very small and is more like it belongs to a remote airstrip than a full-fledged airport, but it might combine very well with other airport buildings if you have them or have created any of your own.

Plane

The set is very nice. I really like the car storage feature, and the minifigs are cool. The only problems are: 1. There are too few seats, in my opinion (there are 7)2. The wings are noisy. If the model is on a shelf/desk, and there is a slight vibration in the ground, the wings ratttle.

Really fun set for play

Both daughters love the completed set due mainly to the extensive stories and play enabled with the interaction of the mini-figures and set. The size of the plane makes it so much more involved internally, allowing for real detail. The different mini-figs are great.Build was pitched just right I'd say for the age band. Youngest is 5 and could do the ground vehicles while 7 year-old took over for airport and aeroplane itself. Too many of the newer major Lego City sets have no central, large build instead being an assortment of bitty structures (stuntshow, wildlife sets etc). This is different and all the better for it.Yes, the airport is small by comparison but we find that fine. Time consuming but great set

I have a four year old son who has been getting into legos, but he’s wanted to do some of the larger, more time consuming sets.This set includes 669 pieces. It comes with the main airplane, airport truck and elevator, air stairs, terminal, convertible car, and several figures.The great thing about this is that it has interactive instructions where you can zoom and pan to make sure you’re getting the perfect build.I will say this is a pretty time consuming piece. We built everything over several days as it gets a bit tiresome at points. Once you have everything together it’s great for gentle play. I love that the set includes the airport setting for more imaginative play. fun build

I helped my 5yr old build this. It was a good choice for him. He needed little help building it. He has a lot of fun with it. I would say there are a few features that could use improvement. The bathroom and the bar service area seem to serve no purpose but take up space. My son asked me to remove them so he can add more passengers. The engines look a bit cheap. I do like the mounting part, it gives it a nice aerodynamic look, but the engines are a cop out. Maybe should have stuck with the ones on the older 41109 kit. The wing set is pretty cool. I would have liked to see longer wings. I understand size may be an issue if you added on the extra few inches, but maybe an alternative add on to make the wing tips. Overall, he loves it I think it is a nice design.
