I bought this set for my son , who loves space and lego. When we opened it, some pieces were missing, the instructions were not very clear and were hard to understand. There were some small parts which are hard to take apart, the tool provided is not very useful and it hurts nails. Overall, I would love to recommend this to a friend.,

A great set with lots of potential

I've been a space fan almost as long as I've been a LEGO fan. So I've been waiting a long time for a LEGO space station, and this set doesn't disappoint. It's packed with fun goodies and lots of playability. The modules are easy to rearrange but form sturdy connections for safe "swooshing".The price seems a little high, which may be because of the several large pieces it contains. And if it feels a little small, it's only because it has so much potential for expansion, just like the real space station. I'm thinking about getting a second set!

Another missed opportunity

Awesome Space Lego Set

Purchased this for our 6 year old son for his birthday and he absolutely loved it! In fact he said it is the best Lego set that he has (and he has many)! He assembled the entire thing himself following the instruction booklets. He likes that it is interactive; you can open each housing compartment and also turn the solar panels. Overall this is a great Lego set that is really cool looking when assembled and is a lot of fun to play with!

It was my first Lego purchase in a decade, give or take, and being a space enthusiast it seemed like great idea for reviving my dusted love for Legos.The build was not very complex, in fact rather easy, but the result is really great - fits perfectly with my little collection of Star Wars figures (waiting to save up for the smaller Millennium sometime in the future). The details are highly enjoyable, the light adds realism to the science lab, where also my personal favourite appears - the microscope build is truly ingenious, hands down the most surprisingly accurate yet simple example of how to scale down the complex. The only drawback in building enjoyment was the lack of printed bricks and instead the significant number of stickers, which can be a real pain for perfectionists, unfortunately.The issue I mentioned in the title is that one of the bricks on the satellite arm (the flat 4x2 on the left side of the arm, further from the satellite itself) does not match the colour of it counterpart. It is supposed to be a fully white brick, which is crucial visually given the amount of whiteness involved in the build overall. As you can see in the attached pictures, it is sadly a significant mismatch and makes for a little disappointment in an otherwise awesome build.Still recommend it altogether - upgrading/developing possibilities are endless for this one, perhaps you will be luckier with the piece :)

It's personal. The kit's not bad

I abject to the Pizza Kitchen in the module. I am 70 years old, I remember the first astronauts The space race wasn't something to be made fun of. I was building this lego and it bothered me to build in a pizza kitchen when so many wonderful men and women lost their lives in the pursuit for actual space exploration. I'm from the U.S.A. They were our HEROS.Oh, am I supposed to open a window and launch a pizza at a UFO before I know if he is friendly or not?

Lunar Space Station Source Of Inspiration

Growing up in the late 1970's, early 1980's, my imagination was captured every time I glimpsed the old school LEGO space mini figures and sets. Regrettably, I was limited to seeing them on the shelf, or fleeting moments at friend's houses, as our family was unable to afford LEGO then.This set does a wonderful job of capturing some of that old ascetic, updated for a modern age.Pros: The space modules. I love, love, love the way that the modules can be combined. I think there's a possibility that a lot of the space sets can be interconnected. Must for cosmo-lovers

This set is beautiful. So fun to build and easy to play with. Hang it, play with it, you can even buy more to have bigger station. Also minifigures are pretty good. Maybe all 3 "rooms" could be a bit bigger, but this gives that "space experience" much more than big houshold. With all lego city space sets its one of the best city series of all time. It reminds me of old lego life on mars.

One of legos best space products

Bought as a gift for our child who has really gotten into space this is an excellent buy. Lots of potential for imaginative play. Great fun to build would love to get additional sets to expand this into a larger station. Could also adapt it to a ground based installation.

For instance, the solar panels can be detached as a standalone satellite, and the shuttle (with opening cockpit) can be undocked to house an astronaut.There are 2 astronaut (one with an exterior space suit) and 2 station crew mini figures included, and a droid/robot that can fly through the empty vacuum to perform exterior repairs and maintenance (or fight off evil aliens headed towards the ISA!)Within the modular space station, there is a section for an astronaut to sleep in, a kitchen to bake pizzas (of course, that is not advisable in real life!), and a research station to study moon and earth rocks. What's neat about the latter is that it comes with a battery-operated light brick that literally lights up the 2 included geode pieces for research.This set demonstrates very well why a modular design is helpful and important in the expansion, maintenance, and replacement of an orbiting/flying object that is constantly hit by dangerous radiation coming from the Universe and our own Sun. It truly is an educational tool that happens to also be very fun, stoking the imagination of a budding astronaut.Overall, my son and I love this space station kit. Couple it with the other Lego sets, and the universe becomes the limit. Apologies for the pun!
