LEGO Star Wars: The Complete Saga

I am a huge fan of the Star Wars movies, particularly the original trilogy. I wasn't really sure what to expect from this game, but I am really glad I purchased it. It's so much fun! I've enjoyed playing through each of the movies and seeing my favorite parts acted out by Lego people. My 5-year-old son also really enjoys it. He especially loves being a Jedi so he can use his "mind powers" on other characters.The only thing I've found a bit frustrating is that there are a few places in the game that you have to guess the objective. When you lose all your hearts, your Lego character falls apart and loses some studs (which we call coins, in our house), then immediately reforms and gives you a chance to recapture those studs.The free play mode is a lot of fun because you can change to different characters while you are playing, which is not possible when you play in story mode. There are a lot of little extras throughout the game in addition to playing through the story, such as achieving true jedi status or collecting all the red bricks. There is also a feature called motion sensor that you can turn on or off that allows you to move ships by simply tilting the controller rather than using the joysticks. It's an interesting idea, but can be a bit too sensitive. I prefer not to use it,.

And for older audiences, my college roomates teased me when I first brought it home and then I didn't get to play it for several weeks because they were always playing it. Some of the newer lego games like lego harry potter allow for the screen to be split if one of the players wanders off on their own instead of requiring them to stay on the same screen the whole time. While being required to be on the same screen requires cooperation it can also cause trouble if one player is a little more skilled at the game and not very patient.

From the very beginning you start off in a cantina and just start playing around with the buttons and interacting with things. It gave me a nostalgic feeling of some games from SNES/PSX days. It may not be the most epic game out there, but for the price you really can't beat the value you get whether in single player or multiplayer. A must buy game!
