Both good and bad for this. I actually got a damaged one, returned it and got a second one that I picked up from the store. The second one is also damaged though. There’s a deep scratch on the spine, and the back has scuff marks/scratches. At this point I’m not going to return it again though, since I don’t really trust that the next one would be much better.I really don’t understand why Best Buy doesn’t wrap these steel books in at least some sort plastic or protective cover. Both times I got them, they were exposed and damaged. And the second was store pickup so it definitely wasn’t damage from having it delivered. Also, they put stickers directly on it and they’re difficult to remove without leaving any marks. On a positive note, I do like the look of this ... MoreBoth good and bad for this. For those who qualified to get this case here is some helpful info:1. Not all steelbooks come shrinkwrapped, in the case of this one, they aren't shinkwrapped.2. There are reports of these shipping with bar code stickers. They should not sticker an item that is not shrinkrapped as the sticker can cause damage, as some are experiencing. The best way to remove these stickers without damaging the case is to heat up the sticker, with a heat gun or hold under a lamp. Don't have it too close or too hot, you just want to heat/warm it up enough so the adhesive material on the back of the sticker looses up and then you can peel off the sticker SLOWLY. Any residue left over Goo Gone should work to remove any of it.3. Packaging needs improvement when these ship out, yes ... MoreFor those who qualified to get this case here is some helpful info:1. The people who pack these don't understand that these are a collectible to many. If you log into your Best Buy account and go to "Orders" see if yours has shipped out, if it hasn't, you may have the ability to change yours for local store pick-up as most stores are getting some inventory in this weekend (April 9th) based on what the site says and when they ship to the stores they generally come in with regular stock on their delivery trucks and are in better condition.Just some helpful tips, hope this all helps everyone.

This review is a warning to any steelbook collector looking for The Skywalker Saga case. The case may arrive damaged, and BestBuy won't or can't do anything to replace the item. I bought the Nintendo Switch edition of The Skywalker Saga, specifically to get the exclusive steelbook case that came with the game. When I received my copy of the steelbook in the mail it was without the protective plastic wrapping and was covered in scratches on the surface. I went to my local BestBuy store, I also contacted the online support, to try and get a replacement, but in both instances I was told that the item was out of stock. A day after contacting support, I noticed a Nintendo Switch deluxe edition was available for shipping. Knowing that my friend was stilling looking for that particular edition, I quickly bought the game for him. I also noticed something else, the game shipped with a steelbook case. I thought the item was out of stock BestBuy? That's what I was told anyway. My friend said I could have the steelbook case, because he just wanted the game. Well, the package was delivered and unfortunately the same problem occurred. The steelbook case was delivered to me without the protective plastic wrapping and covered in scratches. Going back to my local BestBuy to try and get a replacement, I was told that the item was out of stock again. I told them, on the website I can see the steelbook is still available with purchase of the switch edition. Plus, I showed the employees the two scratched cases. Unfortunately, there was nothing that they could do. Steelbook collectors still looking for The Skywalker Saga case should be cautious at this point after the release of the game. Any case shipped by BestBuy may have damage. I don't have the best camera on my phone, so image quality doesn't show how bad the scratching is.

I didn't really start into LEGO games until my kids started into them during the Wii U era, so I was late to the Star Wars series. There is a clear distinction between the older and newer titles which was a shame because Star Wars and LEGO go so well together. Having several LEGO Star Wars sets I've built and my kids have played with its great to see the series return. On PS5 it plays and looks better than I would say any LEGO game to date. That said this is the first LEGO game released during the current gen of consoles. Although features like ray tracing are abscent the game looks great. With classic LEGO humor and what seems like a combination of possibly movie dialog and new voice work the game hits at nuanances of the film franchise. I'd possibly recommend ... With classic LEGO humor and what seems like a combination of possibly movie dialog and new voice work the game hits at nuanances of the film franchise. I'd possibly recommend anyone playing these view the films first. Each of the nine films is represented in a three to four hour segment that offers typical LEGO game minibrick and stud collection to unlock characters and extras. If you enjoy LEGO or Star Wars there is plenty to enjoy in this game.
Overall a fun game to have on Switch. Gives a good overview of all six films. If you're expecting a 'complete' experience through all the film storylines, you may be disappointed. Many scenes that were full levels in previous games are reduced to cutscenes or are short playable sections. Some of the highlight features like boss battles and the open world mechanic somewhat makes up for it. Lots to explore and unlock in free play mode (or in the free play segments between story mode levels).Voice acting for the main characters are top notch and will be familiar to fans of the animated shows. I was so incredibly excited to see that lego Star Wars was coming back, and I preordered it on switch. However; on the morning of the release, I start up the game, watch through the opening animations and start a new save, only to have all excitement drain from me. The cantina and other hubs are replaced with a plain episode selection screen, no fun music or wandering through the hubs, just choose an episode and go for it. I decide to start with phantom menace, as I really enjoyed the prequels in the original game, and get a 10 second segment piloting the ship carrying Obi-wan and Qui-gon, and it gets worse. Level design has been completely forgone in favor of bland “open-world gameplay”, in which you wander from story point to story point, occasionally grabbing collectibles, blasting through the story with short escort quests and fights, the joys that used to come with collecting studs to get true Jedi and finding mini-kits, and playing through interesting, fun levels are lost in favor of the novelty of the open-world. When we do get levels that feel like the old game, they are short-lived and far between. Another strange aspect that was needlessly added to increase grinding and playtime is the RPG style upgrade system, random skills that can be raised to change gameplay, interesting but ultimately a waste of time. In short, this game lacks all the charm of the original and just feels hallow to play.
I used to play the original LEGO Star Wars games. The Complete Saga was one of my favorite games as a kid, and I remember playing the opening level of "Revenge Of The Sith" on loop to grind out studs. When I got to this level, and saw that just like many others, it was reduced to nothing more than a cutscene, I was gut wrenched. TT Games took everything that the LEGO Force Awakens game did wrong and decided to go all in on those features. What made the original games so fun were wacky takes on the movies, but I genuinely think that actually playing missions from the movies takes up at most 10% of the game. The rest is a tedious, never ending spree of side missions of translating alien text or finding characters around Tattooine. It hurts me how bad this game was in ... Great sequel to the Lego Star Wars series. Starting a long time ago (15ish yrs)... in well this galaxy Lego Star Wars The Video Game was released, followed by the Original Trilogy, combined into the Complete Saga, then covering the tv show came 3 The Clone War, with The Force Awakens releasing in more recent times. Yes the levels are noticeably short, but the content is varied (but slightly repetitive) and plentiful. Easily a worthwhile purchase.
I love some of the changes they've implemented, the combat is really fun and I like the more third person view while shooting. Air battles and vehicle movement is shockingly good, I'm always excited when there's a flight level, which isn't normal for me. It's really satisfying to hear the correct engine and blaster sounds with each ship. The menu interface is oddly small and doesn't take up much of the screen. It works ok but still seems cluttered. The main reason for taking off one star is that it's a very buggy game. Some of these have been really bizarre and required completely shutting down the game and some quick maneuvering to break out of the cycle. Luckily the game does seem to save often, and does save after every collectible you find. Assuming a lot of ... After being delayed by a day mine came in and it’s exactly like the other 1 star reviews. I have a 1 inch scratch right on the front, 3 smaller ones on the back. It also came with a bunch of fingerprint smudges I had to clean off. I get it people had to handle it but gross. At least that can be cleaned off the giant barcode sticker on the case itself uses what seems like superglue. I tried boiling water and steaming it off with no success. I can only hope goo gone (which I need to buy some) will take it off. As a collector item that’s a grievous error. Also the case is not silver as pictured it’s black which I don’t care for. Ya know I went digital years ago and I saw this best buy exclusive. I got nostalgic and thought it would be fun to get a physical copy, especially with a steelbook and here I am just disappointed. The best part? I don’t even have the game yet it’s delayed for the next three days and hopefully no longer than that. So here I sit with a bad steelbook and no game. I don’t wanna fully blame Best Buy but it’s the company offering this and I have to say, you messed up this time. A further reminder why I went digital years ago, let’s just pray the actual copy of the game looks nice.
