Awesome Tablet for Kids or Dashboards

Tab M10 HD has exceeded all of my expectations, the screen is vibrant, battery life is great, the device is very responsive and overall feels like a high-end tablet able to compete with anything out there. This tablet was given as a gift to our toddler, the new Android Family / Kids interface is easy to use, with Family Link we were able to restrict apps, videos and other things so we know exactly what is approved for use. The google ecosystem with the beautiful screen & different cases was the best investment yet in digital learning.

Better than Samsung, Apple for minimalists

I was looking for a large tablet at least 10 in size and with a minimum of 4 GB of RAM. Storage of 64 GB internal memory. Micro SD slot a huge plus. Android and with Google built in. These were my requirements. I didn't want to spend more than $150 as this is going to be my first tablet just to use around the house for checking emails and surfing the internet and watching some videos on Wi-Fi. I didn't want a carrier plan using mobile data. It came down to this Lenovo tablet or a Samsung tablet with half the ratings as this one for the same price but with a better screen. The Samsung is closer to the Lenovo fhd tablet but with much less internal memory or it's $250 for the same specs as the m10 HD 2nd gen Lenovo tablet that I purchase with the 4 gb of ram. 2 GB of ... MoreI was looking for a large tablet at least 10 in size and with a minimum of 4 GB of RAM. The tablet has met my needs specially for the price went on sale directly from Lenovo. I wish I could have afforded the fhd Lenovo tablet with the same specs and the charging dock which turns it into essentially a Google nest home display. But I already have two nest Home displays so I just wanted a simple tablet. The graphics on the m10 HD are good enough not two pixelated videos are in 1080p. Front and rear camera are awful but for the money the specs went to the RAM and internal memory not the camera. It does offer facial recognition as well as pin and password unlock. There is no buffering of videos with the 4 GB of RAM. It's pretty snappy and I am pleased with the purchase. Battery life is good I have no complaints with the battery. Touch sensitivity is excellent. The metal body gives it a nice weight to it but not too heavy. Not too much junk apps pre-installed and my Google account transferred all my phone apps to the tablet quickly. This tablet also offers Wi-Fi 5 GHz as well as 2.4. the 5 GHz is very quick as I have good internet at home. I recommend this tablet.

Good with proper expectations
16 March 2021

We got this tablet on a special deal for Presidents' Day. My wife does a lot of graphics work on her phone because the apps she has to use for her business are only available on mobile devices, so our goal was to get her on something with a bigger screen to help her eyes. For the money, I'm pleased. I think if we had payed full price I'd be somewhat disappointed, but I'd say it was worth what we paid on the special deal. PROS: It feels like a much more expensive device in your hand. It's heavy and solid in a good way. Audio is good for such a device. The screen is good, but it is noticeable that it's not a super high resolution; again, good for the money. The OS is not bloated; I'd say it's pretty close to stock Android, and I consider that a very good thing. CONS: ... MoreWe got this tablet on a special deal for Presidents' Day. I once again have to filter this through the price, and I knew it wouldn't be a speed demon coming into it, but it certainly won't win any benchmark contests. The Mediatek processor is clearly inferior to Qualcomm in this case. Again, had I paid full price, I'd be frustrated by that, but it gets the job done. I can't really comment on battery life since I'm not the primary user, but I haven't heard any complaints about that from my wife, so I'm thinking it's fine. Overall, if you set your expectations properly and get this tablet on a good deal, it's pretty good.

Great tablet except....
12 February 2022

I bought this for my daughter who is 6 yrs old. She likes to play roblox with her friend and the tablet works great for that however so she can talk to her friends while playing she uses kids messenger and unfortunately the tablet cant handle 2 applications running at the same time which is a big disappointment. The kids profile is great it lets me monitor her usage and what she is doing. I went with this tablet because lenovo makes a great product how ever little disappointed it cant run two applications. This was a replacment for a old iphone which was able to run both applications. Tablet is great other than that. Would recomend.

Lenovo for Life
24 March 2021

I only purchase Lenovo laptops and tablets now, since their support is top notch. Samsung is over-rated, under-performing, and has poor warranty support. I shopped all mid-range tablets early 2021 and this is by far the best. I actually bought two because my one child's basic tablet was terrible, and he would have been jealous. This tablet screams and can any android game we found (Roblox, Among Us, Minecraft, etc.), top of the line specs for a tablet in this category, especially for the President's day sales price. Same price as big box sites/stores, but more ram and storage space. Don't hesitate to buy this model directly from Lenovo.

Overall Happy with my Purchase
25 March 2021

Right off the bat, I was surprised at how lightweight this tablet was out of the box. This is a good thing, since I bought a rather clunky case to protect it from accidental drops (which has added to its weight). From a utility standpoint, this tablet does exactly what I need it to do. It's great for reading, browsing the web, and watching videos while I cook. However, the tablet can take a while to start-up sometimes. This might have to do with the apps I've downloaded -- but to be honest, they are just the standard apps you would find on a typical tablet. Oh well, I don't mind waiting 2 minutes.

I originally considered buying a cheaper, no-name Chinese tablet or this Lenovo M10 HD 2nd gen. After discussing it with my wife, I decided to go with the Lenovo since I own a Lenovo Chromebook and she has an M8 tablet. We expected that we're paying a little more but would have better support if needed. WRONG! Right out of the box, the tablet would not read any microsd card even though these same cards worked in other devices. I checked the formatting and other issues before contacting support. Lenovo support a joke. One rep told me that none of Lenovo's products work 100%. The following is the exact text from the support email I recevied: " I just want to explain, some product will not support transfer files to SD card directly. and for USB key, may come with FAT32 ... MoreI originally considered buying a cheaper, no-name Chinese tablet or this Lenovo M10 HD 2nd gen. The following is the exact text from the support email I recevied: " I just want to explain, some product will not support transfer files to SD card directly. and for USB key, may come with FAT32 /NTFS/exFAT format, some products will have limitaion on support one or more of those USB format. (1) First method: connect Tablet to PC by USB cable, and then copy files to (better to PC firstly and then copy from PC to SD card ) SD card or USB key. (2) Use third party software." I already explained all of the steps I took, including checking the format and testing on other devices. The support team keeps insisting that the microsd card isn't important, that I don't need to use it, and that I should just put it in another device to transfer files. I explained to them I want the card for storage, not for file transfer. Enough. One of the tech support reps told me I should just return the tablet because there's nothing they could do. I thought, one last ditch attempt, I'll just flash the rom, install another OS, and call it a day. Can't do it. No one has figured out how to flash the Gen2 M10 yet because there's a glitch in the firmware. Gen1 and 3 both are fine, Gen2...no go. I bought a tablet with an Octacore processer (Lenovo has 4 cores), OS Android 11 (L: 10), Size of both is 10", 8 GB of Ram (L: 3), 256GB HD space (L: 32), and I could go on and on. The price, was $120 while this Lenovo was on sale for $99. I've been using my cheap, no-name tablet for several weeks now, and it's been just lovely. It does everything I needed, is faster and more responsive than the M10, has the needed storage space, and guess what, the microsd card slot works!

Used for Teams room display and works great
29 March 2022

We are using these as displays outside of meeting rooms, and they look great and function exactly as needed. The display is crisp and sharp with a great weight and feel (even though they will be securely mounted to the wall). Finding secure mounts was easy on amazon (TABCare) and getting screen protects the same way (from GOZOPO). The price was prefect since these will not be work horses.

VERY HAPPY with the purchase!!!
12 April 2021

Got it during the huge discount period and happy with it so far. Will definitely update a couple of months more of use to give feedback on reliability and performance. So 5 stars for now, will see if it will stay that way after a few months of use. I intend to use it for streaming movies/tv series, YouTube vids, reading ebooks, listening to audiobooks and podcasts. It was easy to configure specially for those who has been on Android devices. Very little bloatware, very responsive, and graphics is amazing! I'm just using less than 25% brightness and it still pops! Sound coming out of it is good enough and loud enough for me. Didn't even need to go max volume, or even halfway, and people in same room can hear clearly. I was using less than a 4th of volume power. Hope this baby last me at least 3-5 years and I will purchase again from Lenovo. I have yet to test/monitor battery life. Will update you about that when I test it and will include the results in my update. But I did binge watch 10 episodes of a tv series in Netflix and it didnt die on me. Did get notification that I got like 11% batt power left lol. Before binge watching, I do remember I watched some vids in Youtube while waiting to finish downloading some ebooks from my library and reading a few chapters. My only tiny gripe (and its not about the device) is that there is not much of a selection of protective case, in the market, for this tablet. I hope more vendors will come up with more selection that I can be happy with.
