I just built a new Windows PC computer rig workstation and I wanted a second monitor in a 20-inch size that would complement my INCREDIBLY IMPRESSIVE and main LG 27UP850-W 27-inch monitor. Since I do photography work in Adobe Lightroom, which supports dual monitors, I wanted another LG monitor that was hopefully going to be similar to my main 27-incher with a consistent picture and something that also supported DisplayPort.Fortunately, that is the case with the LG BL450Y. LG doesn't make 20-inch monitors, but instead they start at 22 inches in size, so that was fine. I've had the LG BL450Y for a few weeks now and I am very happy with this monitor. While it is only 1920 x 1080 resolution and not 4K resolution (or have HDR capability) like my 27 inch main monitor, that was totally fine. It's just a complementary piece to my workflow. The only thing I had to do was go into the Nvidia Control Panel which is the driver for my ASUS TUF GeForce RTX 3060 TI graphics card and tweak the Color Settings controls to slightly adjust the 22-inch monitor to match the picture characteristics of my 27-inch monitor. Since both monitors are by the same company, and there wasn't any huge picture display disparity between the two, it was a subtle tweak of the controls without fuss. But make no mistake, my 27-inch monitor is better and absolutely stellar! The LG BL450Y doesn't have a power button; it just has a little hidden joystick under the center of the monitor to get into the onscreen menu system. The monitor is true plug and play with a DisplayPort (and it also supports HDMI as well) plus you plug in the power and you're ready to go. The 3-pronged AC plug is slightly big, so it may or may not fit next to other devices you have plugged in depending on the orientation. In my case, I had to use a short 9-inch extension cord and all is well.I like the monitor so much that I ordered another one earlier today for a three-monitor set-up which gives me the flexibility to open multiple app windows without having to minimizing anything.Overall, I am very HAPPY with the LG BL450Y monitor and I RECOMMEND it!

Great office monitor. Adjustable height, swivels to portrait, VESA mountable, great color, easy on the eyes, excellent price and warranty. Even comes with a DP cable. We have employees clamoring to swap their 3 year old, $350 best of class monitors (at the time) for these. That says a lot.

The widest stand height adjustment range; sensible conn ports; wall mount option. Excellent image quality and viewing angles. Great for general office work, graphs and tables. Nor sure how good the monitor would be for Autocad, rendering or video editing.

I purchased two of these monitors because they were on sale, and it is really hard to find a nice white monitor. I am currently using these monitors for my gaming setup, but I use them to do schoolwork as well. The stand is kind of thick, which I like because I have cats who like to knock things over, but it is something to consider when buying. For what I use them for and the price, I recommend them.
Nice crisp picture with quality stand. Ordered this for my son to fit on his small college dorm desk. Because these type of desks are designed to be bunked, the shelf on his desk was fixed and could not be removed. He only had around 17" to be able to slide it under a shelf. Most monitors use a cheaper fixed stand that doesn't provide height adjustment. Only a few business monitors have this type of sliding stand and they were all more money. The stand allows the monitor to be lowered enough to sit below the shelf and further back on the desk. He has a 14" laptop set to the side and uses this 24" monitor as the main screen to do drafting work on. I'm sure he will use it for movies also when the ladies come over :). I liked that it has a display port and hdmi. ... MoreNice crisp picture with quality stand. Ordered this for my son to fit on his small college dorm desk. I liked that it has a display port and hdmi. Another advantage of this type of stand is that they can be rotated vertically. This is nice to view document pages one on top of the other instead of horizontally and requires less vertical scrolling. I'm in IT and set the Dell and HP monitors up regularly. This one is as at least as good or better in picture and build quality. I would definitely buy this one again at the same price point.
I like that the monitor can be changed from horizontal to vertical viewing, tilt feature and adjustment of height unlike other monitors that dont have these features. Only draw back will need an adapter as the monitor cables are too wide if the usb ports on laptop or usb hub are small.
I purchased this monitor to use with an ATEM MINI to monitor the camera inputs for live-streaming sports. For $80, this monitor is a steal.
This is a replacement for a 10+ year old monitor. I bought it because I re-did my office and wanted a white monitor. It was the only reasonably priced one I could find in the size I had room for. I am very pleased. It works fine; the picture is great. And it looks wonderful in the decor of my office. So you get that I am not overly "techy" and the specs are most likely good. But again, I mostly settled for it because it was white in the right size. It's perfect for my use.
I purchased this LG monitor about a year ago, and also, I recently purchased my second LG monitor identical to the first one. This is a genuinely white monitor and has a prominent white presence and is gorgeous. I create digital abstract art on my PC, and these two LG monitors are perfect for this - they display my art quite accurately and beautifully, which is critical in helping me to complete my finished works.
The installation instructions are a bit simplistic, and the illustrations are small and unclear. (I don't know if there is a supporting video tutorial on YouTube)The menu button (joystick) design is very innovative and practical.
