I cannot say enough about this monitor, I love it! The unit itself is looks great and setup was quick and easy. The multi function power/settings button works great and is easy to get accustomed to. The monitor has a full range of height adjustment to suit the most demanding of users. Performance wise, this unit is a game changer. The ultra wide 3440x1920 resolution makes for a super sharp display and a tremendous amount of screen real estate to perform most any task. After installing LG’s software suite, users have the ability to do a multitude of dual or even triple screen displays to make working with multiple applications so much easier. Overall, this monitor has improved my work productivity and saved tons of space on my desk, I simply love it!

I purchased one of these new a few months ago and really like the size and image quality. I decided to add a second, but the price had increased significantly so I opted for buying an open box “excellent” unit instead of new. I often buy open box from Best Buy and had never had a bad experience until now. The monitor was not packaged anywhere close to excellent or even good quality, and hardware necessary for setting up on the stand was missing. I contacted Best Buy to ask about getting just the hardware, or a discount since the unit I was shipped only met open box fair quality (per the description), but I paid for excellent. Even though Best Buy refused to send the hardware or discount for the incorrect quality rating I tried to buy hardware to set up the monitor ... But once I took it out of the box and started setting it up, I realized that there are parts rattling around loose inside the monitor housing, so I packaged it back up and sent it all back. A cheaper open box from another retailer arrived in like-new condition in the original packaging with all the components the next day. Definitely will not be paying for for lower quality open box from Best Buy in the future, especially considering how awful the support experience was!

Great ultrawide monitor for under $200. It is one of the best. Comes with one display port and one HDMI port. You can connect 2 laptops at a time but display content from one laptop at a time. To display the second Latop use the change source input button. Meaning you cannot simultaneously display from 2 different sources. Dual controller setup is not supported in this monitor. Best buy support was great to assist in making purchase decision comparing it with the other 29' ultrawide having 75hz refresh rate. This one supports 100Hz. It doesn't have the option to adjust the Height and the tilt motion is little limited. Overall a great purchase!!!

I am using this with my M1 Mac Mini, so I cannot speak for any other computers. But with Mac, it works great. The HDR color is so great. I'm noticing some details on my original photo footages I didn't see before, and it was just an eye-opening. It took a while to get used to its weird ratio, but once I got used it, I can't use other monitors with standard ratios. Eveything is within my viewsite, but because it's so wide, I can put a few programs with no problem. I hardly turn my necks anymore to look at different apps. One thing I was a bit unsure was its resolution. Since I've been using 4k monitor all the time, and I've been spoiled with all those high PPI displays on phones and tablets, I was curious if I'd notice differences (a.k.a pixels) on this 1080p ... Since I've been using 4k monitor all the time, and I've been spoiled with all those high PPI displays on phones and tablets, I was curious if I'd notice differences (a.k.a pixels) on this 1080p resolution. Actually it was alright. No, it is not as sharp as the 4k resolution, but I didn't see any popping pixels. Everything looks sharp enough for my everyday work. I can definitely see though, that this resolution can be a problem for a prosumer. Overall, it was a good buy. I highly recommend for amateur/consumers.
At first I wasn’t sure if I would like this style of monitor but after hooking it up and giving it a try, I am amazed at how much I love having it! I never realized how uncomfortable it was for my neck to have to look up to see the top of my old screen until I started using this widescreen monitor which is far shorter than my old monitor. I don’t have to tilt my head up anymore since this screen sits at such a comfortable level for view. I am amazed at the sharpness and clarity of the images and screen content. The resolution is fantastic! I also love how wide it is that it allows me to have two windows side by side with full view and no overlapping. I am truly impressed with this product and only wish i could have had it sooner than now.
My previous flat screen monitor wasn't very good. Although I had it for 8+ years, I was sure glad when the I-INC finally burned out. Probably my very last purchase from TigerDirect, the graphics were terrible and dialog boxes wouldn't highlight the scroll button enough to make it visible. Settings, nothing would help. It was probably my third flat screen since the cathode ray tube monitors became obsolete, and I was so sick of that big 28 hot burner I purchased a flat screen as soon as they became available, and it took two of us to put the heavy CRT monitor back in its box. Now twenty years later, this LG purchased from B&H works like a charm with nice bright graphics and a super wide screen that shows my wallpaper end to end without distortion. Best of all the ... I now have 2 of these (wife and myself). The extra wide screen is great when working on multiple documents. As a home office screen this has been excellent. It does not have a height adjustment which is why it get 4 instead 5 stars, It was easy to assemble and setup. It also has a sound out jack for speakers or headphones. It is not targeted at gamers but is also a lot less expensive than most gaming monitors. Overall a very good value when you don't want to have side by side monitors.
What a nice monitor! It was simple to set up, has great colour and is nicely automated to sleep or wake as I shut down or boot the PC. Plenty of space to place my app shortcuts (I use the Taskbar) It is wide but not so wide that I am uncomfortable viewing the whole screen at once. Easy to manage a dozen apps at a time. The bezels are slim enough for me - I can't see a purpose in complaining unless the bezels are almost non-existent. Perfect for what I want - productivity apps; vid and picture editing, website management, email, browser, Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc. I don't waste my time with games so no comment on on that type of usage but I am guessing the refresh might be a bit slow for gamers.
I received my LG 29wQ500 today and it came out of the box al most before I could close my front door. I work at home providing tech support to a Fortune 500 company. I typically have no less than 5 different applications running at a time not including my web browser. With the Ultrawide I was easily able to put three of those full size apps on my new UltraWide 29WQ500. When I snapped my browser up I could easily stretch 20+ browser windows open. I love the space this monitor allows me. The quality of the picture is excellent. I would highly recommend this baby to anyone who needs lots of space on their desktop. It is simple to setup.. just plug in and you're ready to go. Windows knows exactly what to do. There is definitely a lot of bang for you buck in this ... In the few weeks I’ve had this, I’ve really loved this monitor. I got an open box one in excellent condition. What drew me to it was the how wide it was, as I like to have multiple pages open at once and not feel confined due to the size of the monitor. The 2 different ports also drew me, as I have a Mac desktop that can easily use DVMI, leaving the HDMI sport open for connecting with my work laptop or smart tv devices. It was important to me that people visiting could set the monitor up to use it more like a tv or for gaming and not feel as if they were missing out on something. So, this is great. There are 2 cons I’ve found with this monitor. For me, the fact that one button does everything (e.g., turn on/off the monitor, change the input & settings) is smart but ... There are 2 cons I’ve found with this monitor. For me, the fact that one button does everything (e.g., turn on/off the monitor, change the input & settings) is smart but a bit of a drag. It can be really annoying and cumbersome to use the button. The second con is that I wish it had differing deep sleep modes, as they start at 4 hours. Other than that, it’s amazing!
