I bought this for my wife to work from home. It has worked great with no problems at all. I will also connect my laptop when I want to game or I am using a 3D program like Unreal or Blender or just editing videos. I like that it has built in speakers, two hdmi slots, head phone jack and I can plug my Apple TV into it and use it as a streaming monitor. It is LED and not as bright as the OLED but I can not really tell the difference from my use. I have many LG products and they are very good manufacturer, making reliable products. At this price point it is well worth your attention if you are looking for a good reliable monitor.

This is the first huge, curved, and high-tech with many features monitor I ever owned. I just received it and haven't had much opportunity to test drive but I love what I see (and hear) for now.The display is amazingly clear and huge. I have replaced my previous three monitors set-up I had for work and use just this one. I can work and see much more clearer. The colors are super awesome. On sale this monitor is simply incredible value. I put it side by side with the nano IPS model and, yes, the other more expensive one is significantly better in terms of brightness and colour reproduction. However, if you adjust the picture settings slightly, you can get about 85% of the picture quality for half the money. This is primarily used for work and not gaming so I rarely ever notice the difference. Even in some gaming that I've done, it still looks smooth with excellent overall picture. The built-in speaker is a nice bonus for some of my work. (Left is this one and right is the expensive nano IPS one)

Be prepared to purchase a DisplayPort cord to take advantage of the additional features the monitor offers, external speakers with built-in microphone, and web cam. The only feature that does not work in the brightness button on my apple Magic Keyboard. I wanted to keep the Touch ID feature and that feature does work on my keyboard. The volume and mute keys also work. LG offers OnScreen control management, but the only feature that works with the Mac mini is choosing different split screens. This feature did not work to my liking, so I download Rectangle and can now size and resize windows to my liking. I've owned this LG monitor for a month now. The style is incredible from a design perspective and there are very few cords to deal with which is very appealing. The functionality for the Monitor and the technology involved Works exceptionally well with a few very minor caveats. There are times when extending my screen from the laptop, the monitor times out for a few seconds before connecting. The only downside of this monitor for me is I didn't do enough research to realize it does not have a HDMI port in the back. Which has forced me to purchase an additional adaptor to connect my webcam.

I used my son's computer with a curved monitor. I realized how much better it is that trying to use dual monitors. I use dual monitors for work and find that I am constantly looking to one side or the other. Making my neck hurt. I also hated moving things from monitor to monitor and never being able to view anything right in front of me. I don't know why I didn't think of trying one sooner. This monitor is great. Awesome picture. I am currently using this mainly for work. I will be planning to get a better computer for games and crafting. I was using a 22 and and 24 monitor. This 34 curved is perfect for what I need. The R1800 curve is the right amount for me.
