LG 34WQ75C-B 34inch UltraWide QHD IPS Curved Monitor Black

I've had this monitor for over a week now and purchased it off a YouTube review I watched. I connected this screen to my MacBook Air and it's doing a phenomenal job of being the main display. The 5K slightly curved screen is great for the eyes, and I no longer need two expensive 5K screens. This one screen is all you need, with the bonus of no annoying gaps. As a UX and graphic designer, I can have my entire work flow open on one screen, including chats, emails, wireframes, programs and tool panels. So far the only con I can see, is with such a big screen set at 5K, I believe the text size may be too small for some people. However, you can adjust the resolution to be bigger (ie 4K), but the quality will downgrade a touch as you make the resolution lower. The screen itself powers your MacBook, so you don't need the charge cord which I find to be a huge bonus since the MacBooks only have 2 Thunderbolt ports, and the monitor also has its own incredible speaker system in it. For those who buy a separate speaker for good sound during calls or for basic music, you won't need to as this is superb. If you're a bass lover, you'd still want to get yourself a bar or sub, however I find the sound quality is phenomenal for a monitor. Multiple thunderbolt hubs means you can daisy chain more thunderbolt screens if you need more space. I'd recommend this for designers, video editors, 3d modelling, etc. My Mac Studio is arriving soon, and will just plug it in to that. The price was also a huge factor – I was looking at upwards of $2000+ per 27"/30" 5K screen (I only need two), but instead I was able to pay far less for just one stunning 5K screen. You won't regret it. One of my favourite features is the stand/base that comes with this monitor. It's a slimline curved piece, silver and subtle. Some monitors come with huge, clunky bases, leaving no room on your desk, but the scythe-like curve of this one leaves plenty of room for things you may still require to sit on your desk. Lastly, I am currently sitting only half a metre from the screen, and my desk is 1202W x 602D – meaning you don't need a massive desk just for this one screen.

Fantastic Display!!

This display is in my opinion the best option on the market right now for a lot of different types of users, but especially for mac owners. The display is large, bright, clear and works flawlessly. I really like the design with the white back, a detachable power cord! (NOT a horrible power brick) beautiful and functional stand but it's also out of the box VESA mountable! This display gets an A+ in a lot of areas for me. I really like the controls which are very easy to engage with and understand using the joystick that is in the middle of the display at the bottom. This is an attention to detail that shows just how much thought was put into the design of this display. Ports galore! Thunderbolt 4 for the display, and if your device supports it there's a 2nd Thunderbolt port that will allow you to daisy chain a second display, DisplayPort, 2 HDMI ports. There are 2 USB Ports that are on the right side of the display (another attention to detail that I appreciate). The refresh rate is 72Hz (a bit better than the 60Hz on most monitors), Color is spot on. I work from home and this is my everything display! Plenty of room for spreadsheets, 300nits of brightness for photo editing and a wide screen movie fits the screen beautifully with the 21:9 aspect ratio. I think the price point is really a good bargain for everything that you get in this display.

Great display for productivity and entertainment

I'm using the LG 40WP95C-W as a single display with a 16" MacBook Pro, and I am really pleased with the picture quality, size and curve for both work and entertainment.I was using 25" and 24" flat displays before this, so the curve took a couple of days to get used to. It's a very gentle curve, and now I really like it.I can put 3 windows side by side and basically have everything I need -- that's usually a browser window, VS Code, and Slack; or Zoom, a browser window and Slack.I now use my computer with the clamshell closed, because this 40" display provides the screen real estate I'm looking for.This display is also great for movie editing or watching a movie.I tried first to treat this display as 2 displays, using the picture by picture capability. I thought about an ultrawidescreen display for some time, but hesitate when I saw how curved and deep some of the displays out there were. When I encountered the LG 40WP95C-W, I hesitated because I didn't find reviews on rtings or elsewhere. LG never fails to meet expectations

I've used 1080p monitors since I was a kid, I can afford 4k monitors but this monitor is EXACTLY what I needed.1440p res, gaming is good - Gamers you have to do a lot of tweaking with the monitor before you actually start playing any of your games. Not all games support this reso. recommend using 21:9 aspect ratio for some games.This monitor has a built in KVM switch, so you can plug your personal computer and work computer via hdmi/DP and it'll automatically readjust all of your devices to that device. Don't get it if you dont have a decent graphics card(basically no onboard graphics)Keep in mind when using this on a laptop(windows) itll be janky, compared to my gaming PC, my work laptop(MSI creator 15) resolution is weird but that is because it is not display port. Please keep this in mind when you factor that in. I have been able to use it with multiple laptops, tablets, smartphones, and my desktop computer. I had to adjust the settings for each device to have the best viewing options which LG made easy with the on-screen control software they provided. The monitor also can work in split screen mode to make multi-tasking with several inputs easy.Overall, I have been pleased with the high-quality monitor and the better user experience that I have encountered while using the great monitor. I have had purchased several LG brand widescreen monitors in the past years and have always been happy with the purchase. My First Widescreen Monitor!

This is not only my first LG monitor but also the largest monitor I have owned as well as my first, widescreen. I absolutely cannot believe that I can do what was taking me two separate monitors on just this one monitor. This was the main point, or desire, in my wanting to own a widescreen monitor was to be able to condense and not have to use multiple monitors. So this also means using less electricity as well.I did not know until after the fact that it has built-in speakers. The sound quality is excellent and does not distort at higher volumes. This is such a major space saver being able to use this one monitor and it looks so much cleaner as well.

Wonderful colors! Excellent performance from a monitor standpoint.I bought two at the same time and my wife absolutely loves hers. I couldn't stand a few things so I had to return mine... So this is review is for my experiences only.First and foremost, I guess this applies to all ultra wide monitors, but I was unprepared for just how "squat" The resultant display is for productivity minded tasks such as word documents, excel spreadsheets, etc... So I guess I should have just gone and used one in the store before I jumped into buying one.However, there are a couple of notable deal breakers for me on this particular model as well, the support structure underneath the ultra wide monitor is way too flimsy for such a large panel. My wife types very daintily so it's not an issue for her.Lastly, most of the computers and tablets that I've plugged in to this monitor have been able to run the full display without any issue... But I did notice that the fan on most laptops run a lot more continuously due to the increased horsepower utilized for the graphics.This is not the same experience I have had with other dual monitor setups before so I don't know what the difference is, but there is something unique about this ultra wide display that requires more cooling from the internal fan.Long-term, I don't know how I feel about that for laptops running hot. I guarantee this is not a problem with most desktops though.
