A good monitor for the relatively cheap price. Not perfect by any means, but plenty good enough for my workspace requirements. The wide screen is perfect for working in Blender etc, allowing me to have all my menus and docks open while still having a ton of screen real estate to concentrate on the task at hand. However I wouldn't recommend this screen if color accuracy is important (my old Dell 24" IPS panel leaves it in the dust). The colors are good enough for general usage, although manually tweaking the panel settings is required to get the best results. The monitor stand is serviceable, but has no height adjustment, and only tilt and sideways swivel is available (the entire stand has to be rotated if the monitor is to be turned). I’ve been switching over to a Mac Airbook (with son’s help) and needed a monitor, as my PC was the monitor and I was used to a 2nd monitor on my desk. My son talked me into the LG curved. Have it all set up and it’s beautiful! He came over and used it for work and he loves it too. He put a lot of hours in getting everything moved to my new Mac and it’s his birthday in April, so I told him I would buy one for him. He’s excited as he works from home and it’s the right size to split the screen rather than multiple monitors on his desk. My husband even commented that it was cool and beautiful too. He rarely is impressed with electronics. Good purchase for me!

Good size for the price. Not great quality.

I've had this monitor around 18 months. Its fine. A good size screen for the price.A couple of quality issues though, I guess you get what you pay for.Occassionally it will go black, and I have to unplug it and plug it in again for it to work. One day it had random pink and green colours covering the whole screen.I researched warranty, and started weighing up whether to cut my losses and throw it in the bin or waste a few hours dropping it off and picking it back up from a service centre on the other side of town.Luckily the next day it came good.Overall it's a decent monitor for the price, but I'd be surprised if it lasts much longer.

Got the monitor to run full screen on Windows 11
10 October 2024

It is crazy that LG does not provide drivers to download for this monitor and Windows 10/11, so like many others I have had to use only 75% of the screen size for over 1 year to work on. Today, I finally figured out how to get it to use the entire screen. Open AMD Adrenalin software, click on Gaming, Display, Display 2 (in my case with the monitor connected to a laptop), then on Custom Resolutions, Create New+ (accept all warning messages). Setup a resolution with 5120 x 2160 and and set the Refresh rate to 24 Hz (possible 25 Hz might work too, it was Windows default 30 Hz that made the full screen 5120 x 2160 resolution not work). Fill out 5120 x 2160 for Timing Display too. Right click on Windows desktop and choose Display Settings, set the monitor to 5120 x 2160 ... MoreIt is crazy that LG does not provide drivers to download for this monitor and Windows 10/11, so like many others I have had to use only 75% of the screen size for over 1 year to work on. You should then be all set and can make full use of the monitor. I am really happy now as I really like the size, design, and picture quality of the monitor for work.

Great hybrid monitor
13 November 2023

With limited space we were limited to having to share a desk at home with my husband. We do have two computers, me with my laptop and him with his desktop. This monitor is PERFECT hybrid for productivity and gaming. I plug in my laptop and have an ultrawide that I can setup with zones to get the most out of the display and in the evenings he can power up his tower and game at blazing fast refresh speeds. The curve in the ultrawide just gives a great immersive effect and keeps you focused. It's an amazing monitor and we couldn't be happier!

Great price
18 October 2023

Honestly for the price it’s a great monitor. Definitely looks, sounds and feels old. Power brick gets insanely hot. The picture is dull. Washed out and it’s not very bright at all. The 100hz and 2k don’t make much of a difference with the lack of picture quality. I have a 1080p 60hz 27 inch curved Samsung I bought at Walmart years ago it’s brighter, more colorful and clear. Most games I tried look ok. Cyberpunk has a lot of screen tearing. This monitor does not have g sync. The monitor definitely does not like fast movement in games. The matte screen finish is probably its biggest downside. If you’re not looking for a great picture and want ultra wide screen experience. Can’t beat the price. This monitor comes with a display port and hdmi cable which is nice.

Perfect mix of price to product
13 November 2023

This is a great monitor that can both do office work, as well as gaming. With so many of us working from home, I personally don't have the space for a gaming setup and a work from home setup. This LG monitor lets me do both by being productive for work, and then let me game at 100hz.The HDR 10 is a surprising inclusion at this wonderful price point and youtube and netflix takes full advantage of the colors that pop. When gaming I turn it on depending on the game and I have it disabled in windows since the colors get washed out.The 100hz is a good upgrade from the normal 60hz and personally I don't see any difference on anything higher. The curve is enough and the low side bezels make it good to look at. Overall a fantastic monitor at an even better price.

The monitor is a great addition to my office space. I replaced my two older monitors with this ultra wide monitor and I am very impressed with the result. The display is fantastic with great range of colors. The number of ports provided is very helpful it has two HDMI ports, one Display port which provides a wide range of different connectivity options. I was very impressed with the Picture by picture(PBP) mode, the resolution was great on both sides and the display was snappy. The monitor also has a lot of options to customize the display with the different picture options and custom with manually changing the brightness, contrast etc. The only cons for the monitor is the lack of inbuilt support of speakers but since I am using the headphones it is not big ... MoreThe monitor is a great addition to my office space. Review of LG 34WR50QC 34 QHD UltraWide Curved Monitor
29 February 2024

The 34" LG curved monitor was purchased to replace a bank of three 24" monitors in my study; my situation having changed from having the need for a full set of three on an everyday basis. It set up well, except for my graphics card which proved to refuse to produce the resolution expected. However, as I was also replacing the SSD at the same time, the reinstallation of Win 10 seemed to kick the graphics card where it hurt and it suddenly produced the resolution required, thus my screen area had reduced but had improved immensely - and now it takes up less desk space. The stand design does not occupy much desk surface as it is narrow and greatly curved, too.Overall, a good purchase at a competitive price. A good compromise in these days of high value awareness.

Ultrawide ultra monitor
30 August 2023

It's very rare to find an ultrawide monitor that is decent at gaming. Most ultrawide monitors just can't keep up with modern day gaming monitors. The LG Ultrawide 34WR50QC changes that. With it's 100hz refresh rate it is just as good, if not better than most gaming monitors in standard format. It also is 2" bigger than most ultrawides which only come in 32". Overall this monitor is awesome. And with the limited space I have it has functioned excellently as my main production/work monitor and my gaming monitor. It's the ultimate package.Disclaimer: I received a special deal on this product for providing my feedback.
