A Great Monitor.

I needed a second monitor for my office. I wanted it to have the same bezel and look as my 1440p Ultragear display. I found this for $349AUD on sale at centrecom, which felt like a steal! And honestly, it was plug and play. Easy as! Plug in, and it just works. Going 4K is epic for clarity of text. It’s made me consider upgrading my 1440p because 4k is so much sharper. Contrast is okay for an LED panel, if you’re used to OLED it won’t compare. But I’ve been running old games like Zelda on my computer and the colour actually feels very vibrant and rich. I VESA mounted mine and I do have one genuine criticism: the VESA panel on the back looks like it has a cover over the top of it that needs to be popped out. I was confused by this! I thought I had to work it out so I could access the spot where the VESA mount would be placed. I found a small thread on reddit of a dude who had the same concern. But it seems like you just literally put the vesa mount on top of the plate on the back and screw it in. So far so good! It hasn’t fallen.

The image still is very bright even though it has a matte finish. This is a plus because it reduces the reflections and resists fingerprints on the screen. The looks of this monitor is pretty standard so nothing special to talk about on that. It does have small bezels around the screen so that helps with modernizing the look. No touch screen is available on this but that is honestly a feature that I do not use much. All in all this is a great screen that is a perfect size and doesn't really take up too much space on the desk. I would definitely recommend this to anyone wanting to have a great monitor for their computing needs that will also work well for gaming, video/photo editing needs.

I also went through a major headache going through display and HDMI ports on my computer before I got the monitor and HDR streaming properly detected on a HDMI port (and the monitor to stop blanking every few minutes). Overall set up was a nightmare. But now that it's working with the proper drivers in the right HDMI port everything seems to be OK.

I had to update my old computer system because the old one was severely outdated and IOS could no longer be updated. Do so I decided to update everything to the Mac Mini, which necessitated a new monitor. I chose LG because of their reputation and the quality of the display. I am extremely satisfied with my new monitor and I’ll look forward to many years of use from it.

I bought the monitor about 3 months ago. Love the picture quality. Noticeably whiter whites and color clarity is much better than other brands when looking at them in the store side by side. The only problem I have had with the monitor -is a huge one. The monitor stopped powering on. I sent the monitor to LG for a warranty included repair. (1 year warranty included with the monitor, and I had it for only 3 months) Waiting for the monitor to come back from the warranty repair. Maybe it was just the power cable that failed, but the monitor randomly stopped working nonetheless. So I have been without the monitor that I loved for 2 weeks now. Hopefully I don’t have any issues with the monitor when it gets back from the warranty repair being done by LG, but time will ...Ā MoreI bought the monitor about 3 months ago. I it’s can not describe the improvement from my existing 24ā€ 1080p monitor. Exceptional quality and more than bright and I only have it set to 35% brightness. Colors and photos are life like and look like you are watching in person. Highly recommend to anyone looking for an upgrade and 27ā€ in 4K is the optimal size for any desk setup. It’s just the perfect size!!

Ordered 2 of them online. Both items were open box but sold to me as new. Both came with different plugs and one was missing the CD which the other did have. The screen themselves work fine up to date but buying online with staples is a real hassle. Probably the last time I will buy from staples as you don’t know what kind of product you’ll get in the end. I read that the online return process is not fun so I didn’t bother returning it. Also this review is terrible as the photo option isn’t enabled even though it’s there I can’t upload pictures to validate my claims. Another epic fail from staples…

The quality of this monitor is great for its price. You get a really nice picture quality with pretty good color accuracy. Although the refresh rate could be better, it’s fine for what I use it for.**with that being said**Mine went bad after 3 months of ownership and would not turn turn on. I contacted customer support, and even with it being a federal holiday weekend, they had my monitor fixed and back to me in two days. I read that this was a common issue with one lot of the monitors, however, LG customer support has been amazing as always and they stand by their products, no questions asked.

The only con is that the toggle to switch between inputs is one single button (shared with power, menu, etc). My old monitor had dedicated buttons for a quicker toggle between inputs. Not a deal breaker obviously, but does take some fumbling at times to switch inputs. Additionally... there is a default 'beep' while in the menu system... that was the first thing I turned off. Great monitor and great price!
