I personally love this TV. I have had mine for about 3-4 years now. I have been able to use this TV to it's fullest. The picture quality is perfection. I use mine typically at night time for my gaming sessions when the children go to bed. I use a PlayStation 5 and a custom PC with mine. Everything I do on this tv is an adventure. I got the 5 year warranty through BestBuy and have not had to use it yet. Knock on wood. I will be using this TV until it dies. Then I will be buying another LG tv. That's how good this brand is. If you are in the market for a OLED get any of the C series LG OLEDS and you will not be disappointed.

DO NOT BUY ANY LG PRODUT EVER PERIOD. I bought an LG OLED 55 CX PUA in November,2020 thinking that it would last me years to come. Lo and behold come September ,2024 (not even 4 years)my TV would not even start. LG suggested I contact an authorize service technician to see if the motherboard was OK and that could be fixed for about $400-$600. But after my TV diagnosis it came out that my whole OLED TV panel was bad and needed a new one to repair that costs $2000.He even admitted that this is a premium TV and should have lasted at least 10 good years without trouble. LOOK LG, I spend over $ 2000 on a brand new TV, is it a reasonable expectation to spend approximately that much of money only to have it GO BAD after 2-3 years(. In this case after 90 days) and have them repaired for additional $1000 more.IS THIS THE LEVEL OF QUALITY YOU ARE AIMING FOR WHEN YOU GUYS MAKE THESE SO CALLED PREMIUM OLED TV'S ? Bought this TV in 2021. Exactly 2 year and 4 months later, the TV would keep shutting down intermittently, sometimes with a loud screeching noise. The only way to make it work again was to unplug the power cord and plugging back. I paid to have a technician diagnose it and he concluded it was the faulty OLED panel that was causing the TV to shut down. LG has 5 year warranty on some oled panels but not this. Such a shame that such an expensive TV (paid more than 2K) didn’t last even 3 years and LG can’t help. The TV had excellent picture quality before it broke. Just noticed from reviews that someone else had the exact same problem with this model. Throwing this away and never buying any LG product ever

It''s very hard to overstate my satisfaction with this TV. I''m not one for hyperbole, but this TV is AH-MAY-ZING. We thought we had a pretty nice TV before, but it''s been a transformative experience getting to know this awesome piece of technology.First, the size of it even though the TV is a massive 77 inches, because the actual thickness of the screen is less than half an inch, it is still light, easy to maneuver, and sits snug up to the wall. (There is also the option to have it standing, in which case, there is a weighted base to balance.) This is the perfect TV for movie night, because we can sit a bunch of people all around the room and there is a perfect view from any angle! The picture quality this is why you buy this TV. This is the perfect TV for movie night, because we can sit a bunch of people all around the room and there is a perfect view from any angle! The picture quality this is why you buy this TV. If you''ve never watched on an OLED screen, you''re missing out big time! Without getting too technical (but look it up, it''s so interesting), the picture quality of the Organic LED is unlike any top quality TV screen I''ve seen before. It''s ability to bring vivid colors, blackest blacks, brightness in the dark scenes, clarity, detail, and more, has blown me away. I watched my favorite sitcom series and noticed the tiniest things in the background that I''d never seen before. I marvel at how the screen clarity makes shows look like big budget films. It literally feels like you''re in the scene and on set.Connectivity This Smart TV has become a hub for all our smart tech in the house. Not only is it fully connected to the internet (we could browse all day laying in the recliners!), LG has an app for our phones to connect and control everything, and it makes being in charge of it all from anywhere so simple. The TV comes pre-loaded with most popular apps, but LG has a suite of popular apps (Netflix, Hulu, etc.) as well as some original ones that you can download directly to the TV. Switching between apps is very easy, just a couple of clicks on the smart remote. Speaking of remote, I''ve never had a remote that I could speak to- thanks Alexa!- or that can be used as an IR pointer, to point and click at things on the screen. It''s really just fun to use! One of the cool things is the art screensaver feature that makes the TV look like a giant framed art piece on the wall. The set-up and installation of the TV was easy enough for us to do ourselves. We got it working within minutes at first it was difficult to connect to LG, but connecting an ethernet cable fixed the issue. Working perfectly ever since!
I bought this TV few years ago from Costco and purchased a 5 years Allstate extended warranty. Took me couple of hrs to setup.Pros:Excellent picture and color.Excellent soundLots of connection optionsAwesome magic remoteCons:Low contrastLow quality WiFi adapter (broke the 2nd month, main board was replaced twice for the same reason. Broke again on the 3rd year and I’m still waiting for the Allstate tech to come out and repair it.This TV would get a 5star if the WiFi had a solid connection.Every time I called for service I was asked to do a master reset and each time I had to setup everything, download all my installed apps and re sign in on every app. So frustrating. As for Allstate extended warranty, don’t ever bother not worth it.
Bought this TV less than 2 years ago from Costco. Delivery was on time and perfect. I installed and setup according to an expert recommendations and started enjoying the excellent picture. 4K content picture quality is amazing, upscaling is great. The magic remote is a plus for this TV. It easily adopts the device you are using and controls it perfectly. So, what’s the point of getting a 3 star and not a 5 star? I guess most people like me streams video content these days and that requires a solid WiFi connection. My 5G network has a perfect steady 50+ speed and no lagging on videos at all, but the TV internal WiFi adapter kept dropping connection intermittently and at times I was unable to reconnect to my WiFi. My 5G network has a perfect steady 50+ speed and no lagging on videos at all, but the TV internal WiFi adapter kept dropping connection intermittently and at times I was unable to reconnect to my WiFi. After experiencing this for weeks and trying on different WiFi networks, I realized it’s the TV. I contacted Costco concierage support and created a ticket. After almost 2 weeks a Tech from ITI scheduled and replaced the main board and admitted that it’s a known issue. He replaced the board, setup and tested. Just after a week, the same problem started happening. Contacted Costco again and opened a new ticket. After 10 days the same technician from ITI came and replaced the board again. This was few days ago. Ever since last board replacement, WiFi has dropped twice in few days. I guess I’m going to live with it. No more calling and re explaining and carrying the tv to another room for repair.I love this TV, but LG should’ve fix this issue permanently. Because this TV deserves a 5 star.
My dad bought this unit about 40 months ago. It was diagnosed with a bad mother board by Geek squad because an LG Tech was not available in a timely manner. He gave it to me and I discovered this tv is Nano-Cell, not OLED, which is subtly different. I contacted LG and offered them an opportunity to improve my family's experience with their product, but was shut down. I was hoping for a 50%discount on the $300 dollar party, but they held firm to their warranty time policy. My father spent, roughly, 500/yr on a falsely advertised tv. Therefore, I will be sure to share our experience to all friends, family, and coworkers and to avoid LG products.
Never had an issue with this TV AT ALL. The remote is not the best, but still offers a lot of different ways to navigate the menus and inputs. However, please overhaul the settings interface. It is not very easy to find what I’m looking for, compared to other UIs of other TVs. We have almost 7000 hours on it and it still works perfectly. No dead pixels or problems with the panel. The auto input switching does not always work well for me. That’s the worst gripe I can think of. It’s fantastic for gaming and watching movies in 4k, which was my primary reason for buying it. No regrets.
I''m utterly convinced now that OLED is the best technology to date for a great TV picture. The clarity is spectacular, and the blacks are so black that it complete changes the experience of watching video of any kind. After you get the TV set up and running, it takes a little while to get things the way you want them. There are a LOT of settings for each video mode, like Standard, Movie, Sports, Vivid, etc. I didn''t expect to use them all, but you can set each up with nuances that change the viewing experience for that type of playback. The two I''d pay the most attention to are the setting that optimizes color through a specific HDMI port, and the setting that controls motion smoothing. The two I''d pay the most attention to are the setting that optimizes color through a specific HDMI port, and the setting that controls motion smoothing. The former really deepens the color in a pleasing way, and the latter can be jarring if it''s set to make motion TOO continuous. Anyone who''s seen the Hobbit at Peter Jackson''s experimental 48fps would know what I mean -- it''s like sitting through a dress rehearsal. But I never turned that completely off ... for me, it helped with sports, and movie-level smoothing was fine for everything else.Beyond the picture, the features are incredible. Through a simple interface, I have one-button access to our Tivo, a separate Tivo streaming device, a PC, a hard drive with shows and videos, the photos and videos on my phone, separate LG-provided free streaming channels, and subscription-based streaming apps. All of these work seamlessly. I occasionally hate the way you have to reverse and fast-forward streaming apps, but that''s a function of the way the content provider wrote their specific app. It''s also a one-button process to cast a compatible device to the TV. You may still need a separate streaming device, as I do, for HBO Max (which LG as yet has no contract with) and direct, on-demand streaming from cable channels like PBS, the History Channel, TNT, TBS and others. In contrast to some reviews, I personally really like the mouse pointer option on the remote. It makes keyboard entry, for one, far faster when you have direct access to each key rather than having to monotonously tab to each one. The same is true for on-screen controls. The remote even talks to the Tivo in a rudimentary way, but don''t expect it to act like a universal remote. It doesn''t.I can''t think of anything I don''t like about LG OLED. It''s still exciting to turn it on. The only thing that makes me wary is also cool -- it''s as thin as a pane of glass. It makes you really want to be sure not to accidentally hit it with something. It may be tougher than it looks, but I don''t want to find out. From my perspective, you can''t go wrong with this TV. You never know for sure about longevity, but from everything I''ve read that seems safe as well.
Granted, we've had this TV for 3 years and my boyfriend was *super* excited when we got this after several weeks of research. And the picture is great.About 9 months ago the TV started freezing, then turning itself off. At first we had no idea what was causing it because it's connected to an HTPC, and we only use it as a monitor for the computer. We use none of the advanced "smart" TV features. We bought a new video card for the computer, messed around with all of the software on the computer, installed new audio drivers, new video drivers, updated the TVs firmware, etc. etc. for months. Then we came across allllll of the posts on Reddit and other places about overheating main boards in the CX line of LG smart TVs. Apparently the people who assembled them did not apply enough thermal paste to prevent the processor from overheating. Has LG issued a recall? Not that I'm aware of. And good luck finding the replacement main board online. Everywhere that carried them (even eBay) is sold out.If I new someone at the Consumer Protection agency I'd call them in a heartbeat. Honestly, I may do that anyway.
