I bot the LG ProBeam BU53PST for my golf simulator/home theater setup. I upgraded from an Optoma HZ39HDR model with 4,000 lumens. 4k and the additional 1,000 Lumens makes a huge difference while golfing on the simulator with ambient light. Price was a bit steep for my blood, but the end result was more than worth it. I'm projecting onto a 14'x8' impact screen without any blur or dimming. Very impressed with the purchase.

I tried a few projectors in the 2k-3k range and wasn't happy with the image in my 17' screen. This projector looks amazing with my golf simulator. It was more than I wanted to spend but I am very glad I went this route.
