LG SN4 2.1 Channel 300W Bluetooth Sound Bar with Wireless Subwoofer

Great sound quality and a good bass output from the sub woofer. There are different sound settings that can be used depending on whether you are watching a movie or listening to music. You can connect your phone via bluetooth or use the wired connection for your television. The volume can be turned up quite loud and I have used the soundbar for parties previously. I have found that you need to be careful where you position it as certain areas in my home cause it to cut out intermittently which is very annoying.

Beautiful sound

I've had this sound bar for almost 4 years now. It has worked great and I still use it on a daily basis. The sound is good the woofer is amazing. Initially are an issue with connecting it to my TV (wired). However, I connected my Bluetooth from the TV to the soundbar and it has worked great ever since .I bought it for $200 plus tax.

Better than Samsung and Sony

I bought 3 sound bars this sn4, Sony front surround hts350 and Samsung hw b550 to compare and keep the best of this 3.Sn4 vs hts350: the virtual x of Lg gives theathe like feel, sonys virtual technology is garbage. Overall sound quality LG is far superior.Sn4 vs b550. B550 is much louder but sound quality is squeky and poor, i tried lowering the treble on b550 its still poor clarity. Sn4 will not get as loud but the sound clarity is 2 times better. Its not even close the difference. So that concludes this is the best among the 3. The virtual x of lg felt like theatre. Samsung virtual x was awful.For other reviewers i read your comments. First u need a proper TV. If you have a old tv with low or poor output, then dont expect good sound from any soundbar, soundbar cannot enhance the sound it will receive, your Tv have to provide the good quality sound to the sound bar. Secondly HDMI cable can make a huge difference. Buy a good quality HDMI cable and you will notice a big difference. They are cheap not expensive. Disappointed in sound quality.

Chose this product as have a LG tv and found good quality also a fridge which is great but the Sound quality on sounbar is a little disappointing, been watching movies etc on streaming channels and found it somewhat difficult to understand the movie speech even after playing around with the settings was still disappointing. TV shows aren’t as bad but still disappointing, is sinked with LG tv and controller is easy to operate . We previous had another brand soundbar which was quite older like 11 years older but still had much better sound quality and very easily to understand all aspects of sounds in movies and shows. Unfortunately would not recommend this particular model.

Great product, great price!

So I needed a sound bar to watch the Mandalorian on Disney +. I needed something to make the sound pop while watching this show because it's that good. I knew what I was missing and knew I needed a soundbar with subwoofer, but I did not want to throw down $500.00 for one. About 6 months ago I was at one of the BestBuy Stores and they had an older 2.1 300 watt LG SL4 for $188.00 and I cranked it and wow I knew it would be perfect. It was loud, clear, and sounded great. I knew this would be perfect for my living room. Fast forward 6 months, I purchased the LG SN4 model from BestBuy and it did not disappoint. Watching the Mandalorian is a whole new experience, exactly what I wanted at a price I could afford. I cranked up the Van Halen "Different Kind of Truth" album on Spotify and my 12-year-old came out halfway through the song "She's the Woman" and said "Dad, there are other people that live in this house!". It was at this moment that I knew this purchase was for me. Thank you, LG, and thank you Best Buy!

LG SN4

LG SN4 I bought this back in late 2020, Quality is decent and it worked well, however recently the Woofer has stopped pairing with the soundbar. LG support are unable to offer further assistance as we have exhausted all troubleshooting steps, its out of warranty so basically at a dead end , I'd need to take it to an independent approved repairer (if they can do anything at all about it chargeable non the less). I'm not too sure if my next soundbar will an LG model. I'm disappointed its only lasted 3.5 years with average usage.

Not Suited For Larger Areas

We recently bought this for our new LG Tv. Unfortunately the sound even with Max volume is terrible (not loud enough) & bass even worse. Because it wasn’t sounding great in lounge we moved it to my sons bedroom for his new Panasonic Tv & were pleased it worked better in a more confined space. We rated 3 & 1/2 stars for LG Sound-bar/Bass for a smaller living area & 1 for a larger space. This is somewhat ideal for a bedroom, smaller room, as the bass is way better & there is room to move for the volume. We feel it is still not worth the sales price. Nice looking unit, well made, but just not the greatest on sounds, especially not suited in a larger space. Like how we could use the Tv remote to work the sound-bar. Not worth the money

I bought this unit to replace my older Samsung soundbar. It was less than impressive. The bass is really lacking, even with the subwoofer up to full and the "bass blast" on. The sound options are limited to four presets that are not that great. Was really disappointed in this and will be returning it as soon as I can and sticking with my old unit.

OK but could be better.

Is working ok now, but the quick setup guide is very inadequate: it needs much more information and/or pictures of where things are on the components.In addition. every time you adjust the volume it puts a large annoying blurb at the bottom centre of the TV screen which covers up Closed Caption subtitles of whatever show you happen to be watching. It would be much better to put a small indicator at the left or right of the screen. As it is now it looks like the SN4 wants to advertise itself every time you adjust the volume. Somewhat annoying.

Good Points: The sound is noticeably better, you can hear details in films that were otherwise missed, and it's most noticeable in films where there is action or "rumbling". The soundbar was relatively easy to set up, and looks good on our black units.Improvement Points: The volume is super sensitive and climbs in the equivalent of twos on our TV, giving you less control over the volume. The sound is excellent quality but be prepared for a loud experience, this is not designed to operate at low volumes.It wasn't clear what wires we could use to link a 3rd device such as a playstation. It looked like we'd need to buy addition cables but in the end managed to get by with HDMI leads. Just needs to be clearer.
