I bought this monitor 2 months ago. Now the monitor flickers continuously. Contacted support for assistance. They requested I pay for my own shipping box so the monitor may go for repair. I suggested LG Support ship me a new monitor so I may send the defective one back using the new monitor box. LG refused. I simply couldn't wait for the repair time and round-trip shipping time as I need a monitor for work. This would be the last time I purchase any LG product. Unbelievable. In my more than 20 years of using a computer monitor, I never had one that went bust in 2 months.

It did not arrive well set-up. Although the memory is in the computer it was not made applicable to any of the services like documents, pictures, email, etc. I was limited to only 5gb of memory. Could not download photos from my camera. Not well set-up from the start. Perhaps once everything is reset properly... if that happens it will work fine.

Since I mainly bought this hoping for good picture quality, I am satisfied on that front. The screen is sharp and colours vibrant and accurate. Unfortunately I have experienced a few issues that affect my rating. 1. The USB ports drop connection regularly meaning that drives get improperly ejected (Mac) which could lead to data corruption, or if you're trying to charge a device, you may be surprised when you come back to it to find that it did not charge. 2. The screen randomly wakes and shows a no signal message when my Mac Mini M1 is connected (using the LG supplied USB-C). I tried with my MacBook Air M1 and had the same issue. It works great, the display looks beautiful, and it charges my MacBook, which means I only need to connect one cable between the monitor and my computer, which is great. I had an issue with washed out colors at first, but I discovered online a way to fix it. After a few all-in-one iMacs, I decided to get the new Apple M4 Mac Mini... and this LG UltraFine 27US500-W 27 4K HDR for its display. The LG presents a crisp, bright image--even better than my previous iMacs. Mounting the LG on an adjustable Ares WING wall mount arm freed up all my desk space. These monitors really do not play will with Mac OS. Yes, I can use USB C to display content, but I can not control brightness nor the audio level. I have used LG USB C monitors since they first launched Mac OS support. They were rock solid. This is a significant step back. I bought 4 (2 for the office and 2 for the home office). I am majorly regretting buying these.
While the display functions very well, I've had some trouble with this monitor. The original one I ordered was a complete lemon. Displayed nothing. Made a noise to suggest it was on, but displayed nothing at all, despite testing multiple cables. With that said, LG and Amazon were very helpful in expediting a replacement for me.My second one, however, also had some issues. The provided USB-C to USB-C cable was faulty and ceased to charge my computer within days of receiving it. With that said, LG was again very helpful and immediately sent me a new cable instead of requiring me to replace the whole monitor for the *second* time.So, positive customer service experience, kind of bummer actual equipment experience - particularly given the price of the product. It is sharp and bright from the first look and color accuracy is consistent with my Macbook Retina display. I hate to see my code text blurry and this monitor had no problem displaying resolution up to 2160p. The setup is super easy due to the type c connection. I also used it as an external display for my switch. I really wish I could rate this display better. It has SO much going for it. You couldn't want for ports. It supports single-cable charging, and output through USB-C. It is built well, and has a decent aesthetic. Unfortunately, it also has a problem with image retention that has only gotten worse as a year of use has come to an end. LG did offer to diagnose the display, providing I could ship it to a service center, but I opted to purchase a different monitor – of a different brand, rather than go through the inconvenience. I have to assume my experience with this display is the exception, rather than the rule, so I can't outright fail this product, but I am disappointed, and probably won't make an LG purchase in the near future.

It Goes nicely into HDR mode when switching HDR on in Windows.Warning, do not buy this model if you are looking for very basic HDR400 that actually has HDR modes when windows HDR is enabled..This supposed HDR400 certified monitor does not go into this mode when switched on. It still says HDR on the screen but just the regular RGB modes. The monitor isn't G sync compatible and no true game mode icon appears either. I have to figure out how to return this poor oversight in driver or firmware and get another UK model for my dual setup. No support has been provided by LG. LG won't lose money except for restocking.
