This monitor has a super fast refresh rate and response time, great looking picture with good colors. Good looking unit with thin bezels. Easy to connect, easy to use on screen menus to change things light brightness and contrast. My budget can't afford a crazy 4K video card at high refresh rates, so this is exactly what I needed when speed is a priority. Brightness is decent and about what you expect, it does work in a bright room near a window. Good matte finish to the screen mitigates glare well. Contrast is decent, blacks are very black. It was the first time buying this monitor for myself and my child. We probably bought a wrong monitor for ourselves, but since we bought it we have to like it as it was bit high priced too :). The design is good and I cannot believe the pixels are very good too. The images are unbelievably super clear. Has nice screen also. And my child said there was no lagging when he tried to transfer his games to the monitor. The setup took 10minutes. We know so many gamers out there and we'd be happy recommending this LG UltraGear 24GQ40W-B Gaming Monitor to them.

So far, I love this monitor! The set up was easy and instruction were great! The settings allow for so much customization for any use! I have tried it out for graduate school, work, gaming, and streaming. Being able to customize the settings so easily to tailor the experience for each use has been my favorite part! The size is perfect. The quality doesn’t compare to my older monitors. It is so lightweight but you can still feel the quality of it. Very pleased with it so far and will definitely recommend to others who are looking for a great monitor.

Even though this monitor is marketed as a gaming monitor, I bought this primarily as my every day work-from-home monitor. I wanted a big monitor that didn't break the bank and this fulfills all my needs. 27 inches is big! I can have 6 different windows of spreadsheets and chrome tabs up at a time very comfortably. Sometimes I'll throw on a movie or show on there as well and the resolution looks great. Some of the default settings made the color wonky so I did have to go into my computer settings and monitor to change some color settings. But now everything is normal. Great for both gaming and every day work use!Everything came packaged nicely as well - all you have to do is screw on two pieces at the base and it took 3 minutes to assemble and plug in.
