I purchased this with an LG Heat Pump Dryer to stack with. The washing machine is easy to use and so, so quiet. Cycles are on the longish side, but the result is excellent, clothes thoroughly cleaned and spun out making it quick to line dry them. I use the app on my phone to know when the wash cycle is finished, as you certainly cannot hear it running. The dryer stacks perfectly on top, with brackets to hold it securely in place, no need for a mat in between. I love this washing machine!

I bought this in October 2021. I hate it. LG says they strongly advise against using liquid detergents, and the detergent tray isn't built to use with liquids. If I had known this before purchase, I wouldn't have bought it, that information wasn't on the ad and wasn't in the manual, I was only told when I contacted LG as the detergent tray has no labels other than I and II and softener. Powder detergents leave powdery residue on the laundry. It has 12 built in laundry cycles that are virtually identical, with no differentiation between whites and colors etc, unless you want to read the manual every time you're washing something, there is also absolutely no soak function, even in the app. There isn't a drain or drain+spin option on the machine, in order to use this ... MoreI bought this in October 2021. The app is incapable of adjusting basic settings like intensive wash, while the machine is incapable of being set to steam. For a "smart" appliance it's pretty unintelligent. If it's on any cycle with the "artificial intelligence" mode, it takes several minutes to decide what's in the machine before it will give you an ETA on completion, and unsurprisingly doesn't identify the materials well enough to properly wash them without damaging them. The machine rarely drains properly, and you have to leave the door open for at least 1 day after using it, or else it gets the most disgusting mould smell, which then also covers the laundry you try to wash in it. I don't recommend LG's washing machines at all.

We had previously had an LG front loader for 10 years which we absolutely loved. The new machine does not spin to the same level leaving the washing wet which is a real problem. Even on a cold wash the washing is not spun well at all and comes out very very wet & hot. Our washing is also coming out considerably more creased than we have ever had from our previous machine which is extremely frustrating. Previously we could hang out simple things like polo shirts and T-shirts and they would look smart when they were dry. Currently everything comes out crushed with heavy blinds through garments and bedding which is frustrating to say the least. We expected this machine to operate the same as our previous machine just without the dryer function.
