Lian Li has done it again! This time they have excelled in creating a functional yet stylish case and improving it even more. The Lian Li O11Dynamic XL Midi-Tower combines brushed aluminium with tempered glass elements. The dimensions of the case are designed so that even the huge EEB ASUS ROG Dominus Extreme motherboard with Intel's C621 chipset and Socket 3647 for Xeon processors will fit with the assistance of an additional accessory (available separately). What Lian Li have retained here is the broad dual-chamber design, which offers plenty of space for high-end gaming components as well as excellent cable management options. The options open to users when it comes to air- or water cooling, it goes without saying, are second to none.

The Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL is a phenomenal case with plenty of internal space for easy (and concealed) cable routing, a vast variety of internal components, and almost any cooling setup imaginable. Designed with water cooling in mind, there's plenty of space for radiators and water cooling tubing, though that space can also be used for air cooling with similar success.Pros:- 4 hot-swappable 2.5/3.5 drive bays. The four drive trays on the back of the case simplify SATA wiring considerably, and reduce SATA cable management time to nothing after the initial instillation. The four drive trays on the back of the case simplify SATA wiring considerably, and reduce SATA cable management time to nothing after the initial instillation. Installing new hard drives and SATA SSDs using these trays and their integrated sleds only requires loosening two thumb screws (one for the panel to conceal the tray, and one to release the sleds from their locking mechanism), pulling out a sled and screwing the drive into it, and sliding the sled back into the case. The tolerances are tight enough that there's almost no need to finagle with positioning, as the sleds will align the necessary ports.- Convenient panel mounting mechanism. All three removable side panels (the front, left, and right) are held down by the top panel, which itself is held in place by two captive thumb screws and a plastic latch. Once the top panel is slid off, the side panels lift out easily. Each side panel has metal tabs at the bottom and top to slide into place and prevent them from falling out. Removing the top panel thumb screws entirely and having the top panel held only by the plastic latch is a fair idea for aesthetics and convenience if the case isn't moving, but I would recommend the added security of the thumbscrews if the case needs to be transported.- Water cooling oriented design. This case has a ton of space for radiators and water cooling, and EK designs a distribution plate that fits specifically in the front of this case. It's possible to fit up to a 360mm radiator on the top and bottom, or side (if the SSD mounting panels are popped off, again with plastic latches and no need for tools) of the case - the top and bottom can also accommodate 280mm radiators. The front and side panels both being tempered glass allow for showing off your components beautifully.- Easy cable concealment. While the front and left side panels are tempered glass, the right side is opaque aluminum with 2 sets of perforations for airflow to the power supply on one side and (optional) side mounted radiator/fans on the other. In combination with the gracious assortment of rubber grommets and cable routing channels, this makes concealing your cables in the back of the case very easy.** A note on the perforations: The perforations for airflow to the PSU sit quite close to the power supply fan itself, so there's little chance of cables getting in the way, but the perforations on the opposite side can be partially obstructed by cables from the front panel I/O, any other components routing cables towards the front of the case, or any overflow from other parts from the back of the case. Careful consideration should be given to this part of the case if using side mounted fans or radiator.Cons:- Flimsy plastic clips. There are plastic clips holding down both the bottom radiator mount and the top panel, and they operate in conjunction with pairs or screws (captive thumbscrews on the top panel, and regular Philips heads on the rad mount). If the screws are not removed before trying to unlatch the plastic clips, it can be easy to accidentally bend them back too far and break them. Lian Li seems to have considered this eventuality, and includes replacement clips in the accessories box; a nice touch, to be sure, but a sturdier initial solution would have been nicer.- No front panel ventilation. While beautiful, the front panel's tempered glass takes away a potential cooling avenue. The bottom and perforated side panel are both fine alternatives, but it may be a bit weird for anyone used to setting up fans in a front-to-back configurationOverall, the Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL is a beautiful piece of industrial design that blurs the line between practical engineering and art. It's an attractive (albeit expensive) case for builders of every skill level, and a definite contender for anyone looking to showcase their components or water cooling abilities. Aside from a couple of minor inconveniences, the case hits almost all the marks from looks to utility to precision.

This is my first experience building a system with the Lian Li case. Very impressive. I love large cases and this one is very large. Lots of room to navigate and create. Provides options not available in small cases. I also love the secondary compartment for cable management. Attaching multiple fan hubs and controllers was a breeze. And the fact that they are all hidden in the second compartment is also pretty cool. Water cooling loops look beautiful in the system. RGB lighting, with water loops and spaced out components allow you to design and create instead of cramming into available space. This is definitely the case for anyone that wants to make an art piece. I love it.

I have been eyeing up the original dynamic since it came out to replace my NXZT Phantom 410. I have a very large triple slot graphics card so I was a bit hesitant. When the XL came out I knew that was for me.I am very happy with this case, it looks great, and though an XL it is still smaller than the 410 so I can now have it on my desk hopefully sucking up less dust. I purchased three Bequiet shadow wings 2 fans at the same time, two at the front sucking air in and one at the back by the IO panel blowing out. Temps for the computer seem fine for me with this setup no matter what Im doing but I reckon with more fans it could be better?Space for everything is great, I love the HD hot swap bays above the PSU area (which easily fitted a large 1000W PSU). If I ever do go water cooling then there is loads of space for that tooI wasn't a massive fan of the RGB stuff at first but the light strip at the front is pretty cool, being able to change patterns and colours Ive liked more than I thought I would so I may go down that route more at a later date.I also got the vertical mounting bracket for the GPU which is good though with a triple slot cooler mounting the GPU furthest away slot makes it too close to the glass to cool, so as a result the bracket quite visible hurting the aesthetic a bit.All in all a fantastic case!

I honestly wasn't sure what case I wanted when I decided to start building my first PC. I knew that all of my decisions would ultimately connect to this one and I decided to get this case because it allowed lots of room to grow.I'm a rookie when it comes to cable routing, but the space in this case provides so much elbow room (maybe not full elbows, but most of my arms at least) that it makes this so much less overwhelming, and for my first time doing this - enjoyable!I knew this case was going to be big after I looked at the measurements but it still shocked me when it showed up on my doorstep (B&H shipping only took 3 days from the time I ordered it - booyah!). So if you're considering this case - make sure you are aware of two things: 1 - XL is an honest dimension for this size, it's BIG! 2 - it's heavy. If you plan to work on your PC in a different place that you will play on it - just keep in mind that a large & heavy box can be hard to move.At the end of the day, this case was worth my money and would buy it again. The integrated RGB and modularity of this behemoth really put it in a class of its own - you can't go wrong!
Well engineered case and good for those who like to build, easily assembles/disassembles. Lots of space and I love the extra window space in the front. My near-final completion looks really good.My only complaint is the design of the vertical GPU kit mount. It completely blocks all your other PCIE slots so you cant use them. I have an MSI motherboard and added the MSI Thunderbolt card for the bottom PCIE slot which I cant use now. It fit on my Phanteks P500A even with a vertical GPU mount but not on this case. Seems like a design flaw that limits this oversize case design which is why people buy an XL case like this.
My old case was the regular Lian O11 Dynamic, which is a great case, but was a little too small for my tastes. The build quality of this over the regular O11 is just much better than I expected, and screams premium in every aspect. And of course it's very easy to work on and clean. For owners thinking of upgrading from the regular O11 Dynamic or similar - keep in in mind that the biggest upgrade in terms of size is height. The width and length are a little longer, but the height is what's really the biggest difference. This allows you to comfortably put fans and/or a rad below the GPU, and use thicker rads/Fans on top or on the side, making it perfect for more robust cooling options.Honestly, I don't have anything bad to say about this. Pros: Beautifully designed case with pretty much everything thought about in detailCons: I bought this case specifically to house a 4070ti and well...as big as this case is because of the way the PSU is hidden behind panels in the back it ONLY just fits the GPU mounted in a normal way. Not a design flaw as the case was out before they released these monster cards however it does still "fit" but the cables that come out the front of the GPU do touch the glass on the front. Not excessively tight but I'm slightly wary of it. Perhaps a new design with an extra inch of depth "I know...that's what she said" would be perfect!
I'd wanted one of these cases for a while after I saw them on YouTube. And finally, recently purchased one to replace my Phanteks 719 that was just too big for my small space. It's fairly well-built, with no sharp edges etc but for roughly 190 I'd have expected it to feel sturdier and more polished overall. It also lacks some additional features such as built in fan hub that I've come to expect from high-end cases like this. It certainly looks the part, but it just doesn't feel premium enough it's also smaller than I expected it to be. Overall I'm happy with it and will stick with it but it just doesn't feel like Lian-Li take the same level of pride in their product as a company like Phanteks do. Absolutely blown away by this tower, its like they have thought of almost everything. The case easily comes apart, take the lid off and the back panel and two tempered glass panels just effortlessly lift off... even though they are completely secure! The case has so much space!! Im not a big fan of water cooling mods, so I opted to run an AIO for the cpu and 7 Corsair QL120 fans using the commander pro and rgb nodes. Very happy with the temperatures and air flow (and noise levels). The case has magnetic dust filters everywhere and enough space for the biggest rads. With all the rgb fans I run, the amount of cables I have is a joke, but the case allows such easy cable management at the back, which is hidden. Its massive. Almost twice as wide as my old Xclio WindTunnel full tower. From a designer's perspective, this case was engineered in a very loving manner from an enthusiasts point of view with simple solutions to common problems. Simple conservative geometry thats crisp and sleek. The elegant 180 degrees of glass cornering the showroom are a nice touch. Can't say enough about the workmanship. Elvish, maybe.Having said all that, I did have something rattling around in mine while it was factory sealed. I did manage to dig it out.
