Bit expensive though but every dollar is worth it liquimoli. Its easy to use for person with little to no prior experience of fixing cars.Easily cleaned throttle body & engine lights gone.Just be careful with painted & plastic surfaces as it would leave semi permanent marks.

Better than it's reputation - very suprised

People hate on this since it isn't the "real thing" like taking apart the manifold and clean it manually. For my situation, this product was very good.Pajero 2002 NM - 360.000 kmI am traveling around Australia and don't have a permanent home. It's not possible for me to rent a place where I can take everything apart and make a huge mess. So I thought I just try the "Liqui-Moly Diesel Engine Intake Decarb" while it is on sale.Application is very easy. Unfortunately, the spray nozzle broke after using around 3/4 of the can. Still, it made a difference.Car accelerates with lesser effort and smoother. Also the engine sounds a bit smoother. For me it was totally worth it. Don't expect a wonder: The result is slight, but definitely noticeable. Different experience to others
11 May 2022

Fed in through the brake booster line which disappears somewhere so no idea how well it dispersed in to the intake manifolds, just hope it doesn't eat away my vacuum lines. Didn't see any smoke coming out of the exhaust pipes but my eyes stang like I poured onion juice on them when I went back to take a look. Would recommend full face respirator if you have one in your doomsday bunker. Despite the lack of smoke I noticed the back of my car was covered in dust afterwards, ended up wiping large amounts of black material off the back of the car.

Easily clean surface soot & gunk well - see photos
14 March 2020

I have a 120 Prado D4D 07 with a 180km, First time looking at the EGR. Turns out there was only a small build up of wet oily soot compared to some peoples caked an dry mess this was nothing.I was prepared to pull apart the whole intake for a clean then use the decarb, instead i just used the whole can at 2k revs without the pre clean.worked great, real easy. dont expect a magic cure for caked EGR's. this worked out well for my case. i will add this to the list of preventative maintenance.

Great product
20 June 2021

Great product! After about 6 months my engine starts to run pretty rough from all the soot build up from the oil coming from the PCV and the exhaust crap from the EGR. Using this product clears it up and the engine runs much better. I recommend using about half the can first. Then rev the engine hard a few times to clear out the junk. Then finish using the rest of the can and rev the engine hard a few times again. You will see a lot of black smoke.

Improved fuel efficiency
16 December 2022

This product does what is says, my brothers 2013 Ranger king cab was running rough on a recent fishing trip, prior to going home we put a whole can though the system, I also used it on the MAF sensor it went from black to the nice copper colour. His Utes fuel economy increased to 385km for 40ltrs diesel.

Major Performance Improvement
31 July 2022

The intake system on my diesel was really gummed up and causing major issues with the engines performance. After using this product the engine started to perform faultlessly. I will perform this task with this product every 6 months moving forward

Works perfectly Highly Recommend
27 May 2023

Works an absolute treat. Cleaning out my EGR, removed from engine, sprayed with the product left for a few mins, wire brushed, rinsed off clean as a whistle. Used the left over as per instructions.

good but not for clogged EGR
27 March 2019

i used one bottle before removing the manifold our of the car to assist the impact of the product on my EGR.after i removed the manifold i noticed no much difference on the clogged EGR valve, so i removed the solid residuals using high pressure water pump and cleaned the manifold out side the car and then return it back and did another round of decarb for the rest of the valves.i did notice a some improvement after the second decarb, but still i believe without removing the manifold it will not be possible to clean the EGR valve.this product can be used for regular preventative maintenance but not as a complete cleaner for the manifold.the conclusion, if you have a blocked or lot of carbon residuals, you need to clean it properly first then use this product ... Morei used one bottle before removing the manifold our of the car to assist the impact of the product on my EGR.after i removed the manifold i noticed no much difference on the clogged EGR valve, so i removed the solid residuals using high pressure water pump and cleaned the manifold out side the car and then return it back and did another round of decarb for the rest of the valves.i did notice a some improvement after the second decarb, but still i believe without removing the manifold it will not be possible to clean the EGR valve.this product can be used for regular preventative maintenance but not as a complete cleaner for the manifold.the conclusion, if you have a blocked or lot of carbon residuals, you need to clean it properly first then use this product every service to make sure things are running smoothly and you will not run into the same clogged issue later.
