Be careful with 1st stage of cleaning

The instructions say to spray the cleaner for 2-3 minutes with the engine 'off'. Be careful as the cleaner spray can condense to liquid and could mostly flow into one cylinder. The liquid filled cylinder can then block the engine from turning over when trying to start. If this happens, remove all the spark plugs, breifly switch the starter 'on', the motor should then turn over and blow the liquid out of the sparkplug holes. Put the sparkplugs back in, start it up, and do the second stage spray cleaning. I deviated from the directions on the bottle slightly. Basically with the engine idling, fed the contents in through the fuel pressure regulator vacuum hose to the point of stopping the engine then back off and repeat until tin was empty and left car sit for 2 hours (overnight would be great) Fired up engine, it was hard to start and smoked for a few seconds. Took it for a sprited drive, plenty of soot for the first minute or so. Change engine oil and filter after test run. Results: 1. Plenty of black carbon muck on the exhaust tips2. Car starts a lot easier especially when cold3. Idle quality improved4. Engine is happier overall

Used this product on my 01 Magna.Car had bad fuel economy and a pretty rough idle.Followed instructions to the tee but found that during the first stage all of the spray condensed in cylinder 3 and locked up. Took spark plug out and cranked and wow!! You can really see how much crud builds up in and engine. Took all 6 plugs out ( was changing them anyway) sprayed a short burst in every cylinder and let so for 10 mins then cranked over. Then continued with following the instructions and wow there was a lot of rubbish that came out.Put all back together changed oil and filter and the car is running 5x better. Highly recommended just be careful not to hydrolock you engine.

Excellent fix for the rough idle on my 2005 Subaru
18 May 2021

Product worked great on my 2005 Subaru Outback. I was suffering rough idle and poor fuel economy. Used this stuff and my car idles so smooth i can hardly notice its running. I have also seemed to have achieved more power - at least i think i have.Car was hard to start after i let it sit for a few minutes but it did start. Took it for a blast around the block, cleared it out. Cant be happier.

Fantastic Result on a 1998 Rodeo!
11 April 2023

Used this on my 1998 V6 Rodeo and the results were fantastic! Cold start idle was improved and hesitation under part throttle disappeared. Drives so much smoother now. Too early to tell if fuel consumption has improved. I have owned this car for 24 years and it has never had an intake de-carb before so you can imagine the build up of residue in the manifold and head. Great result for me.

GOOD CLEANER
19 January 2022

Just want to notify some people about this product :Bought this from another store and used just a little bit of it and started the car. Car started and it showed affects of it.Then sprayed the whole can while the engine was off ,now it wont start.I knew the engine should be running while using this product, but however my car just shuts down when i take off the intake hose.So do not empty the whole can into your car if your car is off.use half of it give it a start and ride it. then use the other half.

It works
18 March 2021

This is the 4th bottle I tried despite the negative feedback in my previous tries. This time I sprayed directly through spark plug hole to clean the piston top and the hose is really effective in squirting the liquid around. Left soak for a night and a lot of crud was sucked out with the liquid turned brown. Some of the crap was also spit out of exhaust. Piston still looks black with the layer of carbon but car's performance increases noticeably with no more pinging on ron98. I will go back to 91 to check for pinging, I read it somewhere that running higher octane than required will build up the carbon... Be aware not to drop this on paint, plastic or headlight. I saw it eat right through the clear coat on my headlight with just one drop.

Liqui Moly or CRC ?
26 January 2023

SCA didn't have the CRC at time of purchase, But I actually returned this product as I found my 95 Corolla injects the fuel directly before the valves & keeps the inlet ports & valves clean, so didn't need it. I have watched many many videos of people using different types of inlet cleaners, in petrol & diesel engines, who filmed the whole process using borescopes & strip downs etc to show the before carbon build up & then the after use / cleaning results. In petrol engines the best results I saw was with the CRC product. Second best was the Liqui Moly. Third was probably the Seafoam. In diesel engines Liqui Moly was the best. CRC & Seafoam do not have a diesel inlet cleaner as yet. I do have 3 cans of the L Moly for my diesel 4x4, not used yet. For fully decarbonizing internal engine & exhaust components & keeping them clean I've been using FPC/FTC CONCENTRATE fuel additive for more than 20 years now in multiple diesel & petrol engines. Cleans 100% of carbon deposits from heads, pistons, oil rings, ring grooves, exhaust valves & sensors, Cats & Diesel Particulate Filters. Best product ever made for doing this I have ever used or heard of in more than 30 years of using additives. It not only cleans up bore glazing as well, but has also been documented to reduce soot, metal wear & double diesel engine life.

White Smoke, Carbon Clean, But Not Good Enough
12 June 2020

First time cleaning out my current vehicle with 285,xxx km. At first some white smoke, not a whole lot as most mention. Dare say it cleaned some carbon, however a lot of carbon is now sitting inside my exhaust. I can see it drip out black when there is condensation inside. Did not improve vehicle performance or fuel economy. I feel better that I've cleaned it out, but can't say for sure if it did anything.

Works well but take precautions
17 July 2022

The product works well but take caution. I used it as per the instructions and unless you remove the intake manifold it is difficult to see whether all intakes have been cleaned. Also be mindful that you may activate a fault and bring up the check engine light. In some cases (in my case, over rich) this will need to be reset via an OBD2 scanning tool or from a mechanic.
