Little Lord Fauntleroy by Frances Hodgson Burnett, Juvenile Fiction, Classics, Family : Aegypan : 9781603125048 : 01 Mar 2008 : Little curly-haired Cedric had no idea he looked like a young lord. For that matter, he had no idea what a lord was. His greatest friend was that cross, opinionated groceryman at the corner, Mr. Hobbs -- who was never cross with him. One day while visiting Mr. Hobbs, Cedric was called to hurry home. There his eyes met those of a tall old gentleman, splendidly dressed, who rubbed his thin chin with one bony hand. He seemed not at all displeased with what he saw. "And so," said the man at last, slowly, "and so -- "this" is little Lord Fauntleroy!" Francis Hodgson Burnett (1849-1924) enjoyed international success with her 1886 novel "Little Lord Fauntleroy" -- a buoyant novel still popular more than a century later.

It is a gentle old fashioned story, but thats to be expected.

I love the beautiful language of Frances Hodgson Burnett. A little unrealistic to have the little boy be so perfect and lovable, but it doesn't matter.

Excellent book. A true classic worth a read.
Heart warming story.
Great value on good quality book!
Brilliant book. Wish I'd read it years ago when I was a child.
Excellent read well written great story
The book is in almost perfect condition. A very enjoyable read. It reminds me of middle school when we had to read either "The Secret Garden " (girls) or "Little Lord Fauntleroy " (boys) and write a book report. So nice to finally read it.
Was a sweet and interesteing book written during an interesting period of our country's history. It offered a glimpls of society and how people responded during the time before the civil war.
