Frances Hodgson Burnett is now best known as the author of 'The Secret Garden' and 'A Little Princess', but in her own lifetime her most famous novel by far was 'Little Lord Fauntleroy'. The novel's eponymous hero was the Harry Potter of his day, and even inspired a fashion in boys' clothing.
