I love making meatballs in this pan, but you can make so many things with it. I have always wanted to have a cast iron baking pan like this one. It is so well made, and such high quality. I have heard about the Lodge brand before, and know that they are well-known for making excellent cookware and bakeware. This is such a heavy pan, but I carry it around to potlucks with pride. I have some cast iron frying pans passed down several generations and there is nothing better. This LODGE brand cast iron is amazing. I have the 9x13 casserole, the 8.5x4.5 loaf and the 15.5" X 10.5" baking pan. This set is going to my sister (as I inherited the family set). All together this set weighs 22 pounds - it's already seasoned (which can take years). Once you use cast iron and see the sear on meats and the crust on say mac n cheese - you will never use anything else. I've used mine in the broiler, on the grill and in the oven. Get this set and start the tradition - the cast iron set, your recipes and memories will be passed on for generations!

Originally I thought that this pain would be a little bit deeper, but even at about an inch deep oh, the pain has proven to be quite versatile. The pan is great for cooking a homemade Pizza, baking cookies, and especially for roasting vegetables. It also did very well with filleted chicken breast and even for hotdogs and hamburgers. The pan is extremely sturdy and did not warp at all in the oven. And despite the variety of items that I cooked in the pan, it was very easy to clean. You just have to remember to dry the pan so that it does not rust. I was very happy with this product and wood give it as a gift or recommend it to anybody that likes to cook safely in the oven.

I make home made pizza a lot and I always use a big rectanglar pan. I've bought all different types of sheet pans, but this pan gave me the best crust ever. I didn't preheat the pan before I put my crust in, but did bake the crust first before I added toppings to the crust. The crust was the best I ever made. I also made some grilled peppers, onions, and potatoes which turned out good. Grilling the veggies on this pan gave me that char black spots and a little crunch on the outside and nice soft insides. The pan is very heavy, but has handles so that helps with lifting the pan out of the oven. I absolutely love this pan. You can cook a pizza on it or anything else you want. Initially I was going to purchase the round pan described as a pizza pan, but I went with the sheet pan instead.Very happy I did. So far I have made roasted potatoes, pizza and heavenly cinnamon rolls on it. Heat distribution is amazing. As a general rule of thumb I preheat my pan first. You cannot go wrong with this pan. Lodge pans are quality made and wear well.

I got this for my wife and she was just thrilled to finally have a nice cast iron baking pan. First off, she used it to sear her pot roast before putting it in the slow cooker. She did that on top of the stove and said that the roast seared nice and even. The taste for me was very flavorful! A few days later she baked her homemade cornbread in this cast iron baking pan. The cornbread turned out perfect! She says that this cast iron baking pan cooks everything nice and even and it’s very easy to clean after using it. I think that it’s time to add more cast iron pans to our cooking utensils!
