I have several other Lodge pans. Was hoping this would be completely flat, but still has a slight curve upward in the center. Could be the taller sides, like in a fryer, are needed to achieve that nice flatness. Still a great pan for things that don?t fit on my round griddle. Thanks!

There are many pans on the market and I've bought quite a few over the years but this pan has them all beat..... Even heating and will not lose it shape like all the non stick pans!

Bought this to replace a nonstick griddle, which I never liked as I felt it created a weird texture on pancakes. This cast iron is great—pancakes turned out nicely. It might take a few uses to have it really well-seasoned, even though it arrives pre-seasoned. It is a bit small— 4 grilled cheese sandwiches may be a tight squeeze. Overall, though, it is great and easy to store.

The advertised size of this griddle is 11" square but the actual flat cooking area is a bit less than 9" square. The bacon I buy is typically 10" plus. Try cooking bacon or a pancake on the curved side of a griddle, or frying an egg. A 9" square griddle is useless to me..
Great for searing especially steaks. Lodge is a tried and true product. Great price. Love it.
First time user of all cast irons, always wanted one and finally got this one. Grilled bison burgers and came out great. For seasoning, i just googled how to care for a cast iron, used olive oil, the entire process was very easy. This is obviously not the same as non stick, but it does the job for the price.
This is a great shape and very convenient for grilling sandwiches and cooking lots of other things, can’t wait for warmer weather to use this on my gas grill for cooking shrimp and stuff. Very happy with my purchase. Very fast and free shipping to!!

I was looking forward to getting a cast iron griddle for the pancakes I make every Saturday. I used it the first time today. Heated it well under medium low which is how I make the pancakes. When I flipped them, the inner half was considerably browner than the outside, which was barely brown. Very marked difference and not what I expected. I will be returning it for another pan.
I was so excited to purchase this. I love cast iron. But I don’t know what kind of finish is on this but the first thing I cooked on it was bacon and it stuck to the pan! Also the second thing I cooked, salmon, stuck to the pan. I washed it with only a sponge and here is what it looks like after two uses.
