First let me say, this camera works great! Picture and sound qualities are both great! Very small and compact! It's great! However, apparently Best Buy gives you an incomplete package. Off of the official product's website there should be a disc to install the software and an instruction manual. BOTH are not in this packaging sold by Best Buy. The only things you physically get from the box is the camera and the warranty information. Seriously, be prepared that it will take a long time to set it up, it took me two hours. Best start with the manufacturer's website! After set up, its bery easy to turn on the camera when I need to use it. Other than the missing instructions, I would buy this again if I needed to, now that I know how to install the propper software. 2 ... MoreFirst let me say, this camera works great! 1st time I tried to use it:1. Camera could not be held up on my monitor to allow it to show my image properly. I had to use tape. the folding mechanism is not conducive to a correct angle to show you properly to viewers, especially on Zoom. Could not get it to work.2. Second time I used it, it blew out the USB ports on computer. I had a extension adaptor that worked fine for all the other devices I had plugged in. I plugged in this one, received a Windows message that it caused a power surge. It not only blew out the extension USB device, but also the USB that the extension was plugged into. Now I have NO USB ports in the front of the computer to use.do not buy this product.

The webcam I purchased exceeded my expectations. It delivers crisp, clear video quality, making virtual meetings and calls a breeze. Its plug-and-play functionality was convenient, requiring no additional drivers. The built-in microphone captures sound effectively, enhancing communication. Overall, it's a reliable and user-friendly webcam that offers excellent value for its price. Highly recommended!

I bought this webcam for online meetings. The picture quality is decent, and the microphone sounds good. Connecting the webcam is quick and easy. I only had to plug it in and I can use the webcam immediately. It can be placed easily on top of a monitor or laptop screen and it is very sturdy and stays in place. The quality and material of the webcam itself is great. While it's good for general video calls, the webcam does not really have an autofocus function when I place an object in front of the webcam or when I show documents close to the table.Overall, I think this is a great webcam for the price for meetings or online classes.
I've bought it for $20 in a deal, so I thought it's definitely worth the price. Well it is kind of, but there are issues with my camera everytime I turn off and turn on my laptop.I use this as my mic rather than my laptop's in built, and everytime I talk in the meetings, the mic and camera won't work until I replug the USB power for the camera. It once suddenly stopped working, and I had to replace it with a new one (claimed the warranty)And a very few times, I had told by the other person in the meeting that they are hearing a very disturbing ticking sound continuously and repeatedly, but there's nothing on my end that is making that noise. Also it's a little bulgy and covers a little part of my screen on the top. (Attached picture)Overall, you get what you pay for
I was surprised by how middling the image quality on this webcam is.It's totally serviceable, but you might want to make sure you're using it in even lighting (not near a window, unless the window is blacked out) because it struggles with scenes that have a lot of contrast between bright and dark areas.I ended up having to purchase a blackout curtain for my window and some additional lamps to have my face appear consistently lit.My friends have said the microphone is 'noticeably lower quality' than my usual Blue Yeti stand mic, but that it's 'not so bad it's worth commenting on,' which is better than I would anticipate from a cheap webcam mic!
So, I almost did not buy this camera based on reviews suggesting that it does not work on a Mac. Amazon is a pretty trusted retailer though and 20 didnt seem much of a punt. So I risked it. It just arrived. Opened the box, plugged it into the USB port... worked straight away. Tested it in Photo Booth, tested it in Skype all works, all fine. The light quality is pretty good and is automatically much brighter than my Macs builtin Factime. Did not bother looking at the leaflets beyond the URL to Logitechs camera site. Downloaded the camera controls. Quickly installed, I looked at the minimalist adjustable settings. Flicked it to widescreen, nudged up the contrast and warmed up the colour.... and hey presto a 720p camera which looks better than the built in cam. ... MoreSo, I almost did not buy this camera based on reviews suggesting that it does not work on a Mac. Negatives seem few and far betwen but my biggest initial concern is that there seems to be a few seconds of lag between my selftest actions and what I see on screen. For example, if I go to Skypes test facility and clap my hands, the clap registers on the microphone test in sync but the physical clap isnt seen on screen until five seconds later. Thats far worse than FaceTime. I guess I will have to have a Skype chat with someone real now and find out how distracting or how present that time lag is in real use conditions. But picture wise, with the dowloaded Logitech software, its much improved on the built in camera but, most importantly, it DOES work straight from the box on Mac MacOS Sierra 10.12.6.
I'm not even sure I will keep this webcam. I might return it for a more expensive one with better capabilities. It is very basic. I suppose it works fine, although I haven't zoomed yet with it. It doesn't clip on to my monitor. The resolution is very low. It doesn't have a light. I believe that the salesman did not tell me the truth about the resolution. He said that 720 p was the same as 1080 resolution. I'm not sure that's accurate.I hope this helps you in your purchase decision.
Hi pale girls-- Here's what's up: The software from Logitech's website gives you a brightness control, but no exposure or white point balance. Oh, you wanted to use Logitech's famously good, free, webcam software? Sorry babygirl, that software isn't compatible with this camera. It works fine during daylight hours, given that you're in a well-lit room with a well-lit background. Not *great*, but *fine*. It's servicable. But after sunset, there is no lighting arrangement that can save you. You can use ambient lighting and look like you have a full-body rash, or you can use a ring light and look like Jeff the Killer. I chose the latter option. To complete the look, I recommend a glossy red lip and a dark eyeliner, and pretend that it's a filter, like that laywer who ... MoreHi pale girls-- Here's what's up: The software from Logitech's website gives you a brightness control, but no exposure or white point balance. To complete the look, I recommend a glossy red lip and a dark eyeliner, and pretend that it's a filter, like that laywer who turned himself into a cat and made national headlines. Because the alternative is just owning up to the fact that you bought a terrible webcam and thought a ring light would fix everything. Or just schedule every single teleconfrence for 1pm and cancel on cloudy days. Those are basically your only options, have fun!
Like so many others, I purchased this webcam for Zoom meetings to replace a poorly functioning built-in camera on an older IBM ThinkPad T420 which we use for yoga in highly portable situations, moving it from room to room. I also tried it out on my new ASUS Livebook laptop., which is fundamentally a purely fixed-place, heavily wired up desktop setup. On the ASUS, it worked beautifully and seamlessly. On the IBM, it turned into an ongoing hassle with Logitech Tech Support. In the first place, the software would not install properly, yielding multiple messages that another installation was also running. A search of LogiTech's database turned up a possible fix, which I implemented successfully. After the fix, the camera was operational in the sense that it would ... MoreLike so many others, I purchased this webcam for Zoom meetings to replace a poorly functioning built-in camera on an older IBM ThinkPad T420 which we use for yoga in highly portable situations, moving it from room to room. In the first place, the software would not install properly, yielding multiple messages that another installation was also running. A search of LogiTech's database turned up a possible fix, which I implemented successfully. After the fix, the camera was operational in the sense that it would recognize a mini-window for my appearance in the Gallery view of Zoom, but the live picture feed was absent. This prompted numerous back and forth messages between me and Logitech, trying to assess where the problem lay. I received 2 different aftermarket solutions of alternative executables to try, none of which solved the problem. Either the camera was not registered and recognized as a Zoom-available device, or the picture image would not display.Basically, I have given up making it work on the IBM, and we forgo camera use on Zoom meetings that we have to use the portable IBM for. It works seamlessly on the ASUS, for Zoom meetings where we don't have to relocate the computer for convenience. We can see the yoga instructor, but she can't see us.My recommendation is to only order this camera for a very recently manufactured laptop. In those circumstances, I'd give it high marks. For older devices, it's a crap shoot. What disturbs me most is that Logitech does not have real solutions for to address what is clearly a new issue, namely the widespread use of Zoom.
