I searched the internet for setup instructions, and found many comments critical of Logitech's support for this camera. I did find notes from users who had used LGS (Logitech Gaming Software) and Logitech G Hub to set up the camera. I found LGS to be completely useless, but eventually I was able to set up the camera using G Hub. Another app that is needed to see how the camera works is Logitech Capture. It works well and can record video and audio in high quality. Again very little support from Logitech. In my opinion Logitech deserves all the criticism it gets for poor support of this product. You will find plenty of criticism on the internet.

I wanted something with better video quality than the built in webcam of a laptop while being as simple to use as possible. The c920s exceeded my expectations in all ways. It's functionality is alright but the way it's laid out and its responsiveness makes changing settings and seeing their impact a hassle. Fortunately you can skip it entirely if you're using the webcam with stuff like zoom and teams. Windows picks it up right away and it shows up in their options menus without any additional set up.That last part was of critical importance to me. One of the primary users of the system it would be part of is my elderly father so having to fiddle with settings menus regularly would be an immediate disqualifier. We've been running this webcam for a little under a month now and I can happily report there have been zero issues. After my initial set up (and a little fine tuning in the settings of zoom/teams) it's worked flawlessly since then.

I bought this because Amazon recommended it for my Amazon Omni TV in order to video call. There’s nothing to keep it secure to my tv, but I don’t know if that’s due to the tv or the webcam. It’s stable because there is a webcam rest on top of the tv and the webcam itself has tabs that keep it from falling off, but the webcam bracket doesn’t lock in place. Tripods get around this, hence you might eventually need that tripod thread.Overall, still a great camera, but look at the spec sheets for other C9xx cameras if you're thinking of investing in a camera for today and for the future. There are other features the C920 doesn't have which are starting to make this model ever-so-slightly dated compared to peers like the C925e, C930, Brio, and 4K. They cost more, and may not be worth it for everyone, but they are all generally better too.
