Logitech, as usual, fully meets expectations. Bought on a special for the same price as a plain-colour wireless mouse. Be sure to store the USB dongle inside the convenient holder. Would be nice if it could connect via Bluetooth but does what I need and the dongle protrudes minimally. Could not see any light when removed from the mousepad surface even though it was on - so may be difficult to know if the battery is dead someday. Single AA battery is supposed to last a long time. I turn the mouse off when not in use for the evening/extended periods away from the computer so I expect I should get the longest life.

Excellent little mouse. Rolls and scrolls easily. Connects to my HP laptop with short installation. USB receiver in laptop is small so it does not impede use/movement. Range is surprisingly far. I have used this on multiple surfaces that include a tabletop, book, closed laptop and bedspread.I have only used it for a few weeks so I cannot comment on battery life yet but have had no issues so far. Mouse does take a single AA battery and does not come with a battery.I love the colors of my mouse. Has no effect on performance but it looks neat.Mouse is a little smaller than I expected but it dpes not effect my ability to use it.Worth the cost, highly recommend and would buy again if needed (which I probably will because I have kids....who like to lose things).

These Logitech 'Design Collection Limited Edition' Mice (Mouses?) are the Model M317, a minor variant on the long-popular M320 Wireless Optical Mouse. This is a Midsize Mouse, that most users will find very comfortable to work with.I have used Logitech Mouses for over 25 years, and they've always been more durable and comfortable than any others. This newest generation is no exception, and I highly recommend. These newer models run on a single AA Battery (which is included and already installed on this one). They claim the Battery will last UP TO a YEAR now - so pretty impressive Power Management. Most of the time, I slide mine around on my Pant Leg. Works like a charm. The Scroll Wheel sends a common 1000-dpi signal. You can adjust the effective Scroll Speed, Size/Type of Cursor, and more in the Mouse Options on your device's menu. I love this mouse. It has a fantastic look and all the same great features and shape as the Logitech M325. The compact size is comfortable for my hand and the scroll wheel works better than some competitors. I have been using the M325 with my laptops for years which takes up little space and on my home PC. When I bought this, I couldn't see if it had the status LED on top at the bottom of the slit and no one at the store could tell me. As soon as I got back to my car, I opened it up (easy tear off panel on back of package unlike other impenetrable plastic packaging!) and there is a status LED at the bottom of the slit for the mouse buttons. It is just recessed. Fantastic small and simple mouse with all the features I am used to. And the battery seems to last forever ... MoreI love this mouse. A mouse is a mouse is a mouse. What is there too say? The mouse is great, easy to use and feels pretty good in my hands. It is on the smaller side so if your hands are large this might not be the right one for you. But for dudes with normal hands or women or teens, the size is right. No issues with buttons or mouse wheel and it seems plenty durable (it goes from use to backpack use backpack) and it works on every surface so far (blanket, mouse pad, smooth desktop)I'd buy another one when this one bites the dust.
I have multiple computers and the things I wear out quicker than anything are mice. Over the years I have consistently found that the Logitech brand last the longest and are dependable.I chose this beauty because of the gradual color change of the mouse. Beauty and dependability! You can't ask for more. While Logitech mice do tend to be a bit higher priced, it is well worth it. These mice last longer.
I was excited to get this mouse color (Blue Aurora) as I have been wanting it for some time. When I received it the shipping box was huge with minimal packaging. What a waste, not to mention the mouse wasn't secure inside. No visible damage that I could see. When I unpacked the mouse and connected it up, I immediately noticed the mouse wheel was hard to turn, as if rubbing against something inside causing it to not roll easily. I tried using it for a while in hopes it would clear up. It did not and I had to return it.
As far as functional mice are concerned, this is great. I have never had serious trouble with Logitech stuff before. Well, a set of there speakers died after an unspecified period of time. It wasn't excessively short, because I bought the same set to replace it. This mouse is getting a 4 star rating because BB asked me to review it shortly after purchase. If they had waited 6 or more months, I would have given it a 5 unless it died. The USB wireless connector is actually INSIDE of the battery compartment. I was ready to send this back until I took the lid off and saw the piece. There should have been some clear instructions on the outside of the case concerning this. Perhaps I should have sent my rating thru Sylvester McMonkey McBean's Star Off Machine.
This a great mouse. Now I've only had it a day but I am definitely impressed! I needed a replacement mouse for an old computer - one that can't use fancy new mice, like a Magic Mouse. The packaging was easy to open. The battery was included. The dongle has it's own storage place so it doesn't get lost! There is an on/off switch (color-coded red and green too!) so that you don't waste the battery, which has a purported life span of a year. No software was needed, no settings were changed. The mouse was truly plug and play. The only thing I can see as a negative would be that it is small. But it's compact size can easily be a selling point. Some clever, industrious person designed this mouse and did a fantastic job!
Very disappointed in this mouse and feel like I've been subject to a "bait and switch"I have multiple computers and multiple Logitech devices. The Logitech m325 mice is my "go to" mouse since it has all of the features I need at an affordable price, and it comes in multiple colors and patterns, which makes it easier to keep track of what mouse goes to what computer for the machines that aren't set up with multi-device mice.I bought this mouse thinking it was an m325, but it's not - it's an m317, and it doesn't have a crucial feature (for me) of the m325 - the ability to push the scroll wheel to the side to go "forward" or "back" in a web browser or certain other programs. The model # doesn't show ANYWHERE in the Staples description or when you set up the mouse ... MoreVery disappointed in this mouse and feel like I've been subject to a "bait and switch"I have multiple computers and multiple Logitech devices.
