Logitech G Gamepad F310

Firstly, if you are a hardcore gamer after an after an ultra-precise controller, this probably isn't it.That being said, as a mediocre gamer myself, this controller is more than good enough given the price.For me, the controller was very much plug n play. Every game that has XBOX controller mapping worked seamlessly with this gamepad.It got me through Elden Ring without any issue, and it was cheap. So all in all I would say its a good purchase.

A solid, if flawed, budget PC controller.

The Logitech F310 has been a reliable PC controller for well over a decade. Plug-and-play, decent build quality, and its budget price make it a good choice for someone looking for a gamepad for the PC. However, it's very much starting to show its age. The design and ergonomics have not changed since it was released all those years ago, and they could use some revision at this point, such as the cramped rear and thinner triggers. Certain aspects of it also hamper it from being more recommended, such as a more prominent dead-zone on the sticks that cannot be adjusted and the fairly loose D-pad.However, for $20 you could do far worse than the F310, and it makes a good fall-back controller to have on hand.

Compatible with Stadia and a LOT of fun!

Purchased this gaming pad back in June 2020. I'm writing this review in Nov 2020. I was wanting to get back into gaming after not owning a rig since Nintendo Wii had just been released. I would consider myself a VERY casual gamer, preferring easy story-based games over MMO style games that have become the norm. It didn't take long to familiarize myself with them and they continue to work great every time.Long Cord - I'm able to prop my Chromebook up on the coffee table and relax on the couch with a long enough cord to not be uncomfortable or cumbersome.Cons:It is corded. This is probably my only complaint... which as I mentioned before it makes up for in length, but for $20 it's an acceptable tradeoff.If you're considering this for your return to gaming or first time with all the new streaming options out there, this is a perfect companion to break into it for very little cost! Favorite ps style controller will always be SteelSeries 3gc but I had repeated problems where the d-pad up and down stop working (i don't use or like analog sticks). I went through 4 of 3gcs before I decided to take a chance with something else. This was my next choice after reading several reviews about several controllers. The biggest issue I have with the f310 is the R2/L2 buttons. It's difficult to describe but I don't like the way they press down, they have a long 'smooth' -for lack of a better term- almost springy travel distance compared to what I prefer, a short solid (but not necessarily clicky) press. It really boils down to personal preference I guess. It's a very light weight control. I am again comparing it to the SS but the back of the grips are not coated in any rubberized material, just smooth. It feels nice but I feel Logitech could have improved on the design. Despite my criticism, this is still a good control. Buttom pressed are solid and it does not easily break. I would not give it 5 stars but I would recommend. So far I've used it for Wreckfest, Spyro Trilogy, Crash Bandicoot Trilogy, Rocket League, Yakuza 0 and briefly on Sonic Allstars Transformed. It works with all these games no problem.

Great Inexpensive Gamepad

I purchased this gamepad when I brought my laptop and needed just a simple device to play my games. This item is plug and play and works really well if you don't care for vibration or wireless. The Logitech preformed flawlessly. I purchased a wireless and vibration enabled controller to play with my friend and he prefers to race and fight with the Logitech G F310. I like it too. Highly recommended for a first gamepad.

Great controller

The controller is lightweight but it doesn't feel cheaply made either. It worked out of the box with all the games I have tested it yet. I'm not a fan of battery powered devices so this controller is ideal as it still comes with a cable (as opposed to the more recent F710), which at the length of 6 feet, is a pretty reasonable length for a PC controller. The only complaint I have is that I would have liked the overall controller to be a little smaller as I feel like it stretches my hands when playing games that require the use of the trigger buttons and joysticks at the same time. Although as I rarely play on Playstation and XBox, I can't really say if the size is comparable to their controllers or if my hands are just smaller than average. If I compare it to my old Wingman Rumblepad, they are almost the exact same size. So take this complaint with a grain of salt. As it is the case for pretty much everything I have bought from Logitech throughout the years, it seems like a quality product that will last many years. I wouldn't hesitate to buy another one if this one breaks for some reason.

It does what it needs to do.

For the price, it's a solid controller. The buttons feel chunkier than what you would be on controllers with a more Xbox design. But that's not necessarily a bad thing except for maybe the triggers taking a little more effort to press down on. No rumble here, but I did find the switch on the back was useful for compatibility with some older games. The cable on the controller isn't detachable though, which will probably hurt the longevity of it overall.

Not amazibg, but great value

For around $20 you can't beat it. But a heavy gamer might want to shell out for more expensive, but more comfortable controller.Quality is pretty good. The DPad and analog sticks feel particularly well built.But ergonomically everything feels just a little bit off. The analog sticks are just low enough to have to be uncomfortable. Start/select buttons are way too high and hard to reach. Grips are inset really deep under the shoulder buttons. And those shoulder buttons are a bit small and feel farther away than they should.

The D-pad is also decent, although it kinda wiggles.Not a big fan of the LB & RB buttons being lower than the XYAB buttons compared to the other PC controllers I bought this year.The triggers feel dated but it does get the job done when I'm racing.
