The keys can get dirty normally, so there is no special coating and there is a lot of wobble room, so much so that when you shake the keyboard, keys rattle like a container of tictacs. This gives a lot of freedom to slightly move the keys around when typing and aren't that noticable, but are there if you want keys to be 100% stable. Even when pressed down, they can move in all axises by 1-2mm. Still, they are smooth to press and no accidental presses, although it gives a feeling of weakness to the keys. The keycaps are made of plastic which does not match the premium build, but aren't that noticable.G-Hub software worked and was simple to use, no issues though creating custom patterns can be hard. The micro-usb cable used to charge worked, but again it's not the best and micro-usb has a chance of breaking though it's fine for now. Battery life is great, lasting weeks and the lights dim when not used. Connectivity was fast and simple with the usb receiver, and bluetooth worked intuitively with my phone. Despite the keycap downsides, they weren't any issue for me.

Absolutely love it!

ROCCAT Vulcan TKL was a great build, but under-glow lighting from the switches was a huge letdown for me...The battery holds well, latency does NOT exist in terms of the gaming performance, etc. and no issues with connectivity whatsoever... and also, I get to use already installed G-Hub as well :)

I like the flip out feet for it that elevate the back, the housing of the keyboard feels very premium, it's very responsive, the keys aren't super loud but still feel nice when pressed (on Tactile version). Also this keyboard has gone years without USB-C, why does a $230 keyboard in 2022 have a micro USB port? The biggest issue I have is the way that the keyboard interacts with the Logitech G Hub software. I've used it before in the past with my gaming mice and been pretty happy with the level of customization despite a certain level of jankiness, but the keyboard does a couple things that are really annoying (even after fully updating the firmware for the KB). When you first start up the computer, the keyboard goes to its default RGB cycle mode for about a minute after startup before it activates your saved color profile (considerably longer than my Steel Series or desktop RGBs). This is a minor annoyance because it only does it once on startup, and I'm assuming it doesn't do it at all when the onboard memory is activated. The issue is that when the onboard memory mode is activated, it removes the ability to access any of the power save settings, so you can't adjust how long the backlights stay on. When the keyboard does "go to sleep" in power save mode and the lights turn off, when you turn it back on the F1 key glows yellow for a little while, which again doesn't sound that bad until it's doing it every couple minutes and it also gets stuck yellow and never changes back to the assigned color until you re-assign the profile. The app doesn't allow per-key color customization, and you can't mix and match different effects in different zones of the keyboard which is unfortunate.Overall, if you can get this thing on a deep sale and don't care about the RGB or software side of the keyboard, then you probably won't have many issues with it, but at that point, why are you looking at a premium keyboard if you don't want to use any premium features?

Endgame keyboard!

There are many expensive gaming mechanical keyboards, but only a few are really worth the premium price in my experience. This keyboard stands out for a few reasons that ultimately make it worth it for my use:-Flawless wireless (good for gaming and convenient if you want to move your keyboard around the room)-Compact TKL yet still manages to have dedicated media controls and volume wheel which is rare to see-Premium design and looks so good-Great feeling switches (I have the tactile version) and while this obviously this isn't a custom built mechanical keyboard I find typing on this to be really enjoyable and accurate. Expensive, but probably worth it.

Expensive, but pretty great keyboard. Tactile switches provide excellent feedback without being annoyingly noisy. Aluminum finish looks premium and feels nice. Volume control wheel has a special place in my heart. Software is not without its flaws, but still is one of the best compared to some other manufacturers. RGB implementation is quite decent. Tenkeyless design means that your elbows won’t be in some weird position when using the mouse and keyboard at the same time, e.g. gaming. So technically this is my third G915, and JB HI-FI is always super helpful and honoring the warranty, but I just wish the keyboard lasted longer, don’t know whether this is due to the supply chain issues observed during the COVID outbreak or just down to my poor luck, but hopefully this one will last longer.

Incapable of powering off automatically when wired
15 February 2022

Good things:I'll start off with the good things. It's compact and doesn't take up as much room as a full-sized g815. This is good because I rarely know anyone who uses the number keys or macros of the g815 so the tkl version has just what you need and with extra room for your desk. The keys are very responsive and smooth. It requires very little to actuate the keys, meaning you will likely have a higher typing speed because of this and the fact that the keys are so close to each other, making it easy to glide across each key you type. The keys themselves are not too bulky or huge like other keyboards, which I really like.Bad & Horrible things:- The keyboard is not designed in a way that you can use it wired instead of wireless in an easy way. The keys themselves are not too bulky or huge like other keyboards, which I really like.Bad & Horrible things:- The keyboard is not designed in a way that you can use it wired instead of wireless in an easy way. The biggest thing, if you use this keyboard wired, when you power off your PC, the lights will dim after 5 minutes, but if you press any key, it still turns the lights back on, meaning there is still power to the keyboard. I'm not sure who designed it this way or what the thinking process was but this is ridiculous. It makes it so that each time I power off my PC, I have to physically move the switch on the back of the keyboard to power off the keyboard and each time I power on the PC, I have to move the switch back to power the keyboard back on. I have never encountered this with any keyboard in my life. Despite the LogitechG subreddit having people asking for G815 TKL instead of the wireless G915 TKL, they still ended up making this and we have no easy way of being able to use this keyboard in a wired mode instead if we wanted to. Not to mention, based on the comments of LogitechG tech support reps on the subreddit, they claim that using the keyboard wired for too long can cause battery issues, so it's literally made by design to force you to use it wirelessly when most people want to use it wired. I don't care how sophisticated the wireless technology is, I don't want to use it wireless, what is so difficult about this to understand and why are the devs this stubborn to force you to use it wireless, coupled with their awful software. I do not care for any features that save battery on the keyboard, because I'm using it wired.- This keyboard is made by design in such a way that you cannot control the lighting of it unless you get their horrible G Hub software. And no, I'm not the only one that thinks this because there have been videos, comments on sites, and forum posts on their Reddit for the past 3-4 years explaining in heavy detail why the G Hub software is horrible and Logitech ignoring and disregarding any feedback related to it because it has stayed pretty much the same throughout the years, with the same horrible base features that make the experience of modifying your peripherals un-intuitive and very annoying.- The lighting on the keyboard is set to automatically turn off every 5 minutes. So unless you look up a YouTube tutorial on how to use the on-board memory feature of the G Hub software, there is no way to permanently make your keyboard have the lights stay on without dimming. I had to go out of my way, to figure out how to make a profile on the G Hub software where I had to set a profile setting the light turn off feature to never, then binding that profile to the on-board memory profile of the keyboard so that I can still use it if I end the process of G Hub in my task manager or uninstall the program. (I uninstalled G Hub and will explain exactly why in the next point).- G Hub. Whoever made this software needs to legitimately be fired. First off, if you're using Logitech Gaming Software for any of your older Logitech peripherals like the g303 for instance, it will detect the LGS that I'm trying to use and gives some message with LGS stating "Your Logitech G303 Daedalus Apex is now supported in the new Logitech G HUB software, giving you more advanced configurations and features." and doesn't let me use LGS again unless I uninstall G Hub. I do not want to use GHub because it automatically switches my DPI for different games and sometimes even switches the dpi back after I disable the games it for some reason detects in my "Games & Applications" section. I don't understand why this feature is enabled by default anyway because wouldn't most people want to have the same dpi across everything that they use by default? I have rarely heard anyone having to switch their DPI for each individual game or application. The software is so awful, that the LogitechG subreddit has petitions every couple of weeks to remove it and go back to a software that does actually work, such as Logitech Gaming Software or even the Logitech on-board memory manager, but the developers are so stubborn, that they are unwilling to listen to any of the feedback or make it actually intuitive.Overall, the keyboard hardware itself is great, but everything else related to how it was designed to function in regards to the lighting dimming because of assuming people will just use it wirelessly and want to save battery and having no intuitive way to change this or workaround it, makes it not feasible to use. That combined with the fact that your battery on the keyboard will degrade faster if you just use it wired and the fact that you to manually turn the physical switch on the keyboard off and on each time you power your PC off or on, makes it not worth the headache. You have to ask yourself why was a basic feature like this overlooked just to make it so that my keyboard lights stay on while the PC is on and stay off when the PC is off? It doesn't seem like it's that much to ask for... I'll be returning the keyboard and either getting a different brand tkl keyboard or waiting till Logitech comes out with a G815TKL. For now though, it's not worth the hassle of keeping it.

Issues with keys double-firing
5 December 2022

I love how "clicky" and compact this keyboard is, but have questions about the build quality. I have owned my keyboard for 1 year and had to RMA it twice. The first time, one of the arrow keys was unresponsive unless I repeatedly clicked it, and the second time a button was double-firing if pressed lightly. The first issue occurred less than 1 month after ownership and the second started about 10 months after receiving the first replacement. I opted for the Best Buy extended warranty to make sure that I retain coverage in case the issue occurs again. I am now on my third keyboard and notice that the "enter" key double-fires occasionally. I have not filed another RMA yet, but will likely do that after the holidays since it took >1 month to get my second replacement ... MoreI love how "clicky" and compact this keyboard is, but have questions about the build quality. I pair this with my gaming PC (wired) and work laptop (bluetooth) and switching between the two is as easy as pressing a single button.Overall, I really do enjoy this keyboard, and am curious if others have experienced the double-firing keypress issues or if I've just had bad luck

Logitech G G915 TKL Tenkeyless LIGHTSPEED Wireless RGB Mechanical Gaming - GL Clicky keyboard RF Wireless + Bluetooth QWERTY English Carbon

I bought this keyboard together with the mouse from the same G line. Everything seems to work ok for the most part, but when it comes to controlling the back lights behind the keys, you cant just do that from the keyboard. You have to go into the app in your computers program menu and control it from there. However, whenever I try to log into the app, it says that I need to update the keyboards firmware. But it wont let you do the update via Bluetooth, so you have to disconnect the Bluetooth and connect via hardline, which is microUSB to USB. But when I do this, the computer is unable to recognize the device so it cant be updated. And it isnt that the port doesnt work, because I plug other devices into those ports all the time. But when I do this, the computer is unable to recognize the device so it cant be updated. And it isnt that the port doesnt work, because I plug other devices into those ports all the time. So now the lights either rotate through different colors which is kind of weird in an office setting, or the back lights just dont turn on at all which can make seeing the keys difficult in certain settings. Updating firmware for a keyboard shouldnt even be necessary. What other function could I possibly need the keyboard to do that it doesnt already do once it leaves the factory And its not like keyboards need security updates. Its just a keyboard. So if you are going to make a keyboard that needs firmware updates, make it easier to do. Theres no reason the firmware data cant be transferred via Bluetooth. That, or put the light controls on the keyboard like most manufacturers do. For the price you pay for this thing, it should do that at minimum. Im not paying more for the manufacturer to make it more, unnecessarily complicated.

Pretty great keyboard

I bought this keyboard because I wanted the best without crazy loud clicky switches and of course some RGB to motivate me when I sit down at my desk everyday. Keyboard is great. The keys are a fairly quiet, not clicky. It's certainly louder than a membrane keyboard, but not much, and the keys do have the same type of sound you'd expect from a membrane keyboard, with just a tiny bit of tactile click...sometimes it's undetectable in feel and sound. The keys have a little more throw than a typical laptop keyboard. The RGB stuff is great but the software to manage it is not my favorite. It's hard to figure out how to save the settings you want to the keyboard memory (you save a custom profile the a memory slot). Battery life is outstanding, even with RGB. Media keys work well. You need to connect using the dongle (lightning) if you want to use the G software to customize settings. Bluetooth connectivity is also there, and you can switch between the two very easily with two distinct buttons. Connection time is nearly instant for either method. I sometimes wish the keys had a little more travel, but lately, I've started to enjoy it more. I might try another keyboard to see if I like it any better, but this one is outstanding, and I doubt you'll be disappointed in it.

Superb Form Factor and Performance

There is no getting around the elephant in the room: this keyboard is a large investment. It’s twice the price of other Logitech offerings, and remains one of the more expensive stock boards on the market. However, I believe there is good reason for that.Immediately the first impression it gives is strong. The keys are satisfying and clicky without being too loud. There is some give to the keys, but they are still reliable and sturdy. The media and seriously wonderful volume knob add great value to the overall package. I swear that the volume knob is a feature I know I’ll miss on any other keyboard for the rest of my life.Wireless performance is stunning to say the least. The 1ms response rate advertised is accurate, and I am completely unable to tell the difference between wired and wireless usage. It’s almost scary good at times, and typing feels super consistent when using programs like word and excel.Gaming performance is similarly excellent. Low input lag and adjustable height allows this to be a comfortable board for long play sessions. I beat the entirely of RE4: Remake on this board and never had any discomfort in my wrist or fingers. The only real downsides are its price and micro-usb connection. The latter puts a definite lifespan on the product, but is unlikely to really bother most people (unless you aggressively tear the plug out from your keyboard like some kind of coffee-addicted gorilla).Overall, if you’re a gamer who also enjoys productivity, this is likely your endgame board. Highly recommended.
