This wheel is by far the most affordable, high quality steering wheel for beginners. Yes it wears down rather quickly... (I've been through 2 in the last two years, coming up on a 3rd) But the main thing is, you don't have any other wheel to compare it too. For 450$ aud you're laughing. I'd definitely recommend this to one of my mates, that are just starting in the Sim world. Great wheel just wish the internal quality was built to last. My first wheel died in the actual wheel. It started to pinch wires (apparently because of some poor manufacturing) Now my latest are the pedals. I've had a lot of friends say that this was bound to happen. But am currently trying to get my warranty. 8/10 beginners wheel !

Shipped in dual box helps against damage to main box. Software struggled to see wheel, so first install software before connecting. Not all buttons can be re-assigned, marked as "preset" so in game it is frustrating. Buttons ergonomic design not friendly since thumbs can't bend or stretch to bottom while driving, turning and select, since preset buttons can't be changed. Wheel good quality, buttons good quality, pedals good quality. Unfortunately only shipped with euro plug to transformer, which can be unplugged and changed. Thought I would be 2 -5 seconds faster than my keyboard, however not the case, took 35hrs for my brain to learn and beat my keyboard record on F1 2021 Bahrain, now analque control so can challenge in corners compared to digital keyboard where 2 cars in a corner will result in accidents. Not sure why it is not the 2-5 seconds faster, I have now put in 80hrs and only increased from 60ai to 80ai, cornering loss of traction under bracking and acceleration is the problem, I am on no assists. Steering is good and presice. Although it took a while to play around with ghub settings to get the wheel to react playable. No True force on F1 2021, don't think it will make any difference in lap times though. Overall quality is very good, expensive feel, looks good, force feedback is really nice and smooth.

We have never use them, nor do we know what they are for exactly. Again, no apparent answers. They are just so many wires.... Anyway, I suspect the real answer is to buy a gaming chair for driving. In theory, this would solve a lot of the problems. But without a gaming chair, this product is simply unusable. And if I did that, I would buy a much better steering wheel product than this one.

In January of this year the decision was made to jump into online SIM racing. I got the opportunity (I wish everyone could) to test out literally everything on the market due to a close friendship I have with an influencer in the SIM racing world. With that exposure, I tested several different cockpits, wheels, pedals, monitor stands, monitors, basically everything. I am going to surprise some people by some of my final decisions and what I am racing today. Time and time again I heard experts in the SIM racing world just breezing right past Logitech wheels and pedals to the "real" wheels and pedals. During that same period of time I found myself going back to the Logitech G923 for PS5 and PC. One of the reasons I kept going back to this wheel is because the G923 fit so nicely on the Next Level F-GT cockpit from Next Level Racing. Putting those two together just had a natural feeling for me. One of the largest selling points for the G923 is the "Trueforce" action when using the wheel. It replicates what you feel when actually racing. The feedback is just awesome. I only tested 5 different wheels and I am by no means an expert when it comes to SIM racing products, but I kept returning to the G923 because it felt realistic to me, which was a requirement for me to continue in this SIM racing adventure. Here is what I put together. Next Level F-GT cockpit. Triple monitor stand from Next Level. Keyboard and mouse tray from Next Level. 16 locking wheel castors from Next Level. 65" by 24" Floor Mat from Next Level. 3 Asus 27" IPS FHD G-Sync Compatible Gaming monitors (VG279QR). Logitech G923 Wheel and Pedals. Logitech G Driving Force Shifter. *Note* The 3 Asus Monitors were purchased online from Best Buy and they look awesome and it was a great price (I think they were $215.00 each). I also have a wireless Logitech keyboard, a wired Logitech headset, and two 12 button, button boxes in use. I only race on IRacing via the PC. Also, if someone is wondering why I didn't go to a higher resolution gaming monitors, I was limited due to using an existing desktop and CPU, which is a Dell XPS8930, which included a NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2060, which handles the 3 Asus monitors quite well. All in all, I am very happy with my current setup. I've ran the flag up the flagpole for the Logitech G923 because this is a great wheel and doesn't seem to get the credit it should. It's not a direct drive wheel, but it suits me just fine and for $399.99 I think it was a deal!
I have been using the G923 on both Xbox and PC to immerse more into driving sims. I wasn't sure what to expect as i normally use a console controller. Has completely changed the way i play driving sims. The Logitech PC app in easy to use when setting up on PC especially when calibrating the wheel for games. Plug and play with the Xbox. The controls feel solid and the finish on the wheel is top notch. The pedal set is comfortable in both shoes and bare feet. Brake feel is modulated nicely. The wheel driving feel is great. The feedback over bumps and whilst cornering is spot on with even little imperfections in track surface being felt. My only criticism, and it's only small, would be the force feedback strength could be slightly stronger.
Overall, I feel that this wheel is pretty good. Feels nice and is very responsive, the pedals are the same (not that I have experience to compare to). I have one complaint, the mounting brackets, they are horrendous! If you have any type of angle on the edge of your desk or it is rounded, mounting is near impossible! The mounting brackets/clamps are too short to reach under the desk to clamp to, this needs to be in the product description. Come on Logitech, you made a good product but you cant make a good attachment piece? I have taken to clamping a piece of 6x1 wood to the wheel and that piece of 6x1 wood clamped to my desk with G clamps (no, not 'Logitech G clamp' (not that they exist), these should be attached to the wheel, thus not needing other clamps). I have ... MoreOverall, I feel that this wheel is pretty good. Feels nice and is very responsive, the pedals are the same (not that I have experience to compare to). I have had to use builders G clamps and wood to attach this to my generic office desk. For around $600, I expect better. Other than the rant about the mounting system (or lack thereof), It does the trick.
First race wheel I’ve owned. This isn’t a technical/spec review, more so one of practicality for new users such as myself. I considered going all out with a Fanatec (buy once cry once) but the cost was ever increasing, and as a noob to this it became overwhelming to be honest. Based on that, and that I’m just a casual gamer, I went with the G923. The feedback from the wheel is good, definitely took time to get used to moving from a PS5 controller. After a few times going back and forth between race wheel and controller I was able to go a few seconds faster with the wheel and really started to enjoy it. I’ll admit that initially I thought I’d made a mistake in buying it as it felt oddly foreign. I’ll admit that initially I thought I’d made a mistake in buying it as it felt oddly foreign. It’s a game, so a lot of sensory perceptions are missing from driving an actual car of course, so you have to tune your mind into it if that makes sense. The brake pedal is heavy for sure, I tried the unit with a little rig and then put my chair behind it… I found that the chair would move back and swivel too much while you’re gaming, so I didn’t have a good feel for the brake, it was either full brake or no brake. If you can get a proper rig like Playseat where you’re kept firmly in place, it’s a much improved experience and you can become more precise with the foot controls. Overall, I would recommend it.
Having both the G933 with a simple stand and picnic chair, and a top of the line racing simulator worth over 10 grand, I can confirm that I find myself putting far more hours into my inexpensive Logitech setup. The simplicity that comes with a G923 is magical, there is minimal software, minimal tweaking and tuning, minimal cables, and maximum fun. The G923 allows me to plug and play while my pro Sim has a ridiculous amount of cables and a tedious setup process. Logitech allows users to feel what it's like to drive or race a car without worrying about all the technical aspects, but if the user wishes to get more in depth they definitely can. With multiple buttons that can be programmable on PC to adjust things like Brake Bias and Engine mapping, the more die hard racing enthusiasts can blast on a budget. The G923 is without a doubt the best Sim kit for anyone getting into virtual racing on games like Forza and Asset to Corsa, when playing on Xbox the user merely has to plug in the kit and everything is already ready to go. The amount of times I find myself sitting down to play with my G923 makes me wonder why I spent so much on more expensive equipment. The idea that with Logitech is always ready to go at a moments notice is something you just can't get any where else, and with the growing support in games like F12022 there are setups available to you as soon as you boot up the game, saving time that you would've needed to research.
I am in no way a drive sim gamer, light or heavy. I don't consider myself knowledgeable in the details of a driving sim. However, I do like exploring, be adventurous, so I thought I'd give this a try. I LOVE IT. Everything works out of box, plug it in, download Logitech Hub, connect to Steam or Xbox streaming. I got this Logitech - G923 Racing Wheel and Pedals for my teenage son (age 16) for Christmas, and it did not disappoint at all. We had an old set of pedals/wheel for gaming from the early 2000s, and it had finally kicked the bucket - much to his chagrin. I waffled between this and the G920 (and also G29) due to price, but finally decided to pull the trigger on this one for the seemingly "subtle" differences. I'm so glad I did, because when my son compared it to his friend's setup (G920), he immediately noticed that his was far nicer and had more of a "realistic" feel while driving with them. He even said he could turn the wheel better and it did not have as much of a lag. He even said he could turn the wheel better and it did not have as much of a lag. My son, for some reason, loves games like American Truck Simulator - in addition to other racecar driving ones, so he uses this on his gaming PC often. Initially, he had a few issues trying to get it going on his PC upon initial setup - but I think it was a matter of making sure updates were added, or something along those lines. This was NOT an issue on the PS4. Nevertheless, we figured it out in due time, and it has been performing flawlessly ever since December when he received it. There's a lot of buttons directly on the wheel that you can bind, for easy customization and more automation. He really likes the wider range on the wheel for turning, too. The wrapped steering wheel makes it look aesthetically pleasing, and it feels more realistic to the touch. The feedback is far better than other wheels we played around with. Everything on it is sturdy and durable, and it's built to withstand a lot of frequent gaming. It gives a much more upgraded experience for your games, and is very solid. The acceleration works well on most games while using the pedals, and he is pleased with the performance and sensitivity. We have definitely not regretted the purchase, and feel it's more than worth the extra money for the upgraded look and feel, for a better gaming experience. It gets two thumbs up from us!
