It allows you to quickly give a birds-eye view of your notes, sketches or whatever you have on your desk while also adjusting the image rotation to ensure the video is still right side up.The standout features of the MX Brio for me is undoubtedly its 4K resolution capability and versatility. I primarily used this for virtual meetings (Zoom, Teams, Skype etc.) and the clarity and detail captured by this webcam was unparalleled especially when compared to my default webcam. I’m sure this could easily be used by content creators and streamers as the video quality is astounding. The Mx Brio is capable of 4K 30fps or full-HD capture at 60fps frame rate. Moreover, the MX Brio performs well under varying lighting conditions especially low lights, you’ll consistently appear bright and clear. Another nice touch I appreciate is the physical privacy shutter that you easily engage and disengage by simply twisting the rotating lens frame.The MX Brio doesn't just excel in video quality; its audio capabilities are better than I expected. The Brio is equipped with dual integrated omnidirectional microphones, it delivers clear and natural sound, eliminating the need for external microphones in most scenarios. Of course, it is not as good as a dedicated mic but it gets the job done and from my meetings, I was told my voice came through loud and clear.The Mx Brio could be used without installing software but it really gets unlocked when use one of Logitech's companion software. I went with Logi Option+ which I am more accustomed to and it added layers of customization and control to my experience. You can adjust the field of view, zoom, exposure, you name it. Two thumbs up here Logitech.In conclusion, the MX Brio is a pretty good webcam. It has a stunning 4K resolution, good features, and premium build quality. Whether you're doing video conferencing or streaming content the MX Brio will ensure that you're always seen and heard in the best possible light.

Moreover, it doesn't show fingerprint smudges nearly as much as the front glass of the older Brio model, so you can grab and adjust the camera's position without having to wipe it down after.The MX Brio is compatible with a variety of Logitech software, including Logi Options+, G Hub and Logi Tune. These programs allow you to customize how the MX Brio performs, changing all the settings to get the exact right video output for you.One new setting is called "Right Sight" which automatically adjusts the frame to keep your face front and center. In practice, it works okay, but I prefer to keep my camera stationary and move to the right spot in the frame myself.The only two downsides I've encountered with the MX Brio is that it doesn't have an infrared sensor (i.e. cannot do face recognition login—although the older Logi Brio can) and it has some difficulty with low light performance. It seems like the auto exposure and white balance struggle a bit in these situations, leaving faces too ruddy and pixelating the video output a bit too much. This was also true of the older Brio model. But when paired with a decent natural light source, or substantial electric illumination, the MX Brio looks quite nice indeed.Absolutely recommended for people who want a major webcam upgrade.

With these downloadable free software I have been able to tweak the camera settings to be the exact way I want to look on camera with HDR settings, low light, hues, tints, and image optimization.The image quality is crisp and sharp and on par with what many of us are expecting as we use our smartphones. An interesting feature on this webcam is the Show Mode which is great for someone like me that wants to share my drawings, notes, or workspace with my audience or colleagues. With a simple tilt down of the webcam the image displays on the screen of what it looks like for an overhead shot of sharing something with your audience. Much like what you'd get to see or experience in an unboxing or cooking video. This is compatible across multiple platforms so it should be an ideal match for many users. MX Brio is compatible with Windows, macOS, and ChromeOS. So far I have tried it only with Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Google Meet. There are more programs that it will work with according to Logitech. As you can see in the photo, it's a straight connect with no external weight support. This puts a lot of strain on the USB port inside the case. A 90 degree connect with some sort of hook on each side to hold the cable would have been much better. Next, the magnet I mentioned earlier works great for keeping the camera attached to the stand, but it's so strong compared to the sticky tape they include, they either there should have been stronger tape or a weaker magnet. I'm personally replacing the tape on mine with double sided mounting tape. Lastly, the 1/4" threaded socket under the magnet was drilled wrong. There is a tiny screw that Logitech added inside the threads. It doesn't appear to do anything as removing it does not allow the magnet to fall off, but if you leave the screw there, than standard hot-shoe plates do not attach properly. This doesn't matter if you have a mounting bracket that has the adjustable nut on it, but for any 1/4" connect that is just a bolt, well, I suggest removing the screw to get the clearance you need.All in all I do recommend the camera, but I hope Logitech reads this and makes some subtle changes to the next iteration.

I am able to differentiate between shades of black objects on a black table, something I was never able to do with my previous webcam. I would have also liked to see an AI setting to configure how much is being done. Currently there are no ways to even turn off the AI assisted image. The included mic is not the best, but I would still rate it higher than most PC laptop mics. It does not beat a MacBook mic by any means.At the end of the day, I am completely satisfied with this webcam. I can confidently say that during conference calls, I seemingly have the best video quality. It does make me feel more conscience of minor details that used to get lost in the pixels, so that is something to keep in mind.

I have a ludicrously large monitor on my desk which necessitates moving the actual computer a little further away from it than it would be in most setups, and this ended up being a huge issue for my previous webcam because the cable was just a little too short to comfortably reach the ports. I basically had to only plug it in when it was actually being used, which I often forgot to do and resulted in several meetings where I just didn't bother at all. Not an issue when you've got the option to just buy another cable. I imagine for a lot of you this is enough to sell you on the thing, but there is more. The sensor they're using does offer really great image quality. Out of the box the colors were a little overly saturated, as it made my face look almost garishly pink, but the software made it very easy to dial it in for the light in my office and get a more natural skin tone. The wide angle lens does a great job capturing the whole space if you need to be moving around or capturing a moderately sized conference room. Mounting is very modular too - you can either use an included magnetic adjustable clip (which can be permanently affixed to a display if needed) or screw it into a standard threaded tripod adapter. Audio pickup is pretty good too - though of course still not as good as a dedicated headset.The only issues I really have with it is that I think it's honestly a little too much for most of my videoconferencing. Don't get me wrong the 4K resolution is great but it also means it does a great job highlighting every single blemish and shaving mistake. I'd probably be more okay with that if I were the type to constantly be presenting documents or sketching drawings, but when I do need to do such things I use screen sharing, so I'm not sure I'm really getting much value in exchange for my increased self consciousness. Additionally I'm rather disappointed to see that there's no support for features I would expect to be using daily like facial login via Windows Hello.My final conclusion was that as impressive as I found the camera, for this price it's probably not a great fit for my particular use case (primarily video conferences in my home office.) I think I'd likely get more out of something just a little cheaper with more focus on QOL features like the aforementioned facial login tech. But I can definitely see how this would be a great pick for streamers, educators, or smaller content creators who could put the AI image enhancement features and highly granular image controls to their full use.

You can turn if on and off by twisting the lens clockwise and counter clockwise. You can make a lot of minor adjustments and rotations with the camera. The mount has a sticky portion to it in case you need to stick the camera somewhere (there's also an included adhesive strip). Camera also has a 1/4 inch hole so it can be mounted to tripods.Microphone sound quality is adequate. It does pick up a lot of background noise so the noise cancellation isn't that great. Nevertheless, the person you're talking to should be able to hear you clearly though the audio will not be as good as a headset or actual USB or XLR microphone.As mentioned, great webcam that I can easily recommend, but only if you need the additional visual fidelity given its price.

As you move about in the field of view, the image automatically tracks to keep you in the center. In my testing this was a little hit and miss depending on the settings you use for distance and speed, but again using the default settings seems to the best option.If you're coming from the previous Logitech Brio - you're probably thinking, do I need to upgrade? Well just on the RightSight feature alone, I'd say probably not - but if like me you are collaborating and want people to see what you're doing the killer feature is the update to the mount.You can now pivot the camera straight down to show your desk, so if you're illustraiting something , playing an instrument (like I do) and want people to see that - no need for additional cameras, just flip the camera down, and it will automatically flip the image to keep it right-way-up in 'show mode'.As I'm doing more collaboration these days, the combination of these image and audio enhancements (some taken care of by AI) all enhance that person to person experience, but the RightSight and the flip-down Show Mode make it much more of an interactive experience. The only question is , do I buy two to make sure the person on the other end is getting the same benefits!

If you ignore the 6 steps and scan the QR code you’ll be fine. If you read the 6 steps ignore Step 1 which takes you to a marketing page about the camera with no links to download the software you need. From the Getting Started page choose your adventure: streaming or video conferencing and download either Logi Options+ (what a silly name) or G Hub (not sure that’s any better).Once the software is installed and you’ve connected your camera and computer install the firmware update.One of the recommended setup steps is something you don’t see that often with webcams which is the recommendation to suction attach the camera to the monitor. This camera includes a Pan & Tilt feature that lets you tilt the camera forward and sideways to show others objects sitting on your desk. It works remarkable well, but using it works best when the webcam is firmly mounted to the monitor. Logitech is achieving this with suction. If you plan to use this feature make sure you leave plenty of slack in the USB-C cable.For the first day of use I was asking everyone I zoomed or teamed with if they noticed anything better or worse about my video or audio. Several reported hearing more echo in the audio than before but every person commented that my image and the clarity of the objects behind me were much better than my previous webcam. Logitech attributes this to AI-enhanced image quality but I think the real explanation is that my previous webcam had a 3 degree wider viewing angle. By narrowing the field of view the objects appear closer and in more clarity than they were before. Regardless of the how or why, looking better on camera is always a welcome experience.

There is an LED to the right of the lens that changes colors to alert you when the camera is on: white means audio and video are on; yellow means only audio is on.- I'm a big fan of the included privacy shutter, which is very easy to open or close by gently turning the ring surrounding the lens. It's a much more elegant solution than the plastic flip-down covers that come with cheaper webcams.- The webcam mount is highly adjustable and very sturdy. It includes a suction pad on the back which adheres to the back of your monitor. Once mounted, you can easily adjust the webcam either side-to-side or up and down.- Since I have some gaming accessories connected to my computer, I manage all of my Logitech devices via the G HUB app. I was happy to see the MX Brio instantly recognized in G HUB when I connected it. You can also manage the MX Brio via the Logi Options+ app. Available adjustments include crop, exposure, white balance, brightness, contrast, saturation, focus, and more.- Compared to 1080p webcams, the 4K resolution of the MX Brio provides a noticeable uptick in fine details and sharpness. Logitech claims that the MX Brio also uses "AI-enhanced image quality" which results in "2x better face visibility" in difficult lighting conditions. I can't verify the numbers, but I can verify that the image quality is far and away the best I've seen on any webcam, even when I turn off my overhead office lights.- The microphone is also excellent. Logitech claims that it uses omnidirectional microphones to suppress background noises, and it seems to work very well.- The MX Brio feels very premium with an all-aluminum body and fingerprint-resistant design.===CONS===- Here's my biggest gripe: for some inexplicable reason, Logitech decided to remove Windows Hello support from the MX Brio. Even though its previous high-end webcam supported the feature, Logitech does not support it with the MX Brio. This is a major loss and was one of the main reasons I was considering upgrading to the previous 4K Brio camera. When I ordered the MX Brio, I made the mistake of assuming that Windows Hello support would have carried over to this new, updated model. But that is NOT the case. The MX Brio does not include the infrared hardware required for Windows Hello. I'm not sure what Logitech was thinking here, but it certainly makes the webcam much less desirable for Windows users.- The USB-C cable is very stiff - so much so that it puts a bit of downward pressure on the back of the webcam, causing some unintended movements when swiveling the camera side-to-side or up and down.===OVERALL===Strictly from a camera quality perspective, the MX Brio excels at almost every level. It is highly customizable via the G HUB or Logi Options+ apps and has a premium design with a very functional privacy shutter. But the lack of Windows Hello support is a major drawback in my book, and enough for me to deduct one star.
