Maybe it's because I've never like the shallow chicklet keys of a laptop keyboard, but I find it uncomfortable to type on. Also, I find the mouse pad to not be very sensitive. But for the price, and it being an all-in-one, if you don't have, or want to carry a separate mouse and a decent (heavy) keyboard, it's convenient when you need a simple and lightweight solution. This keyboard works well enough. I like that it has a plug-in radio source to the computer instead of relying on Bluetooth. I've never found Bluetooth to be reliable. One USB port is taken by this keyboard, but it's still worth having.I have unusual hands in that I need large or extra-large gloves to fit my palms. Some sizing guides even list me as XXL, and when I took Krav Maga years ago, I needed an XXL in MMA gloves. On the other hand, my finger size is small in length and medium in diameter. Overall, this keyboard is more than adequate, especially for the price. General build quality is great. The keys have a good weight and feel, and I'm able to type as fast and accurately on this keyboard as I am on keyboards that cost double or triple this. The trackpad also has a good feel, and the physical left- and right-click buttons provide confidence in what you're doing, especially in darker scenarios. My only gripe is how it handles two-finger scrolling. Out of the box, scrolling is not inverted, while inverted scrolling is my preference. Unfortunately the YouTube app will not allow text to be input from any keyboard - everything else works fine, but not alpha text input. Keyboard works more like a TV remote, you need to point it at the receiver in order for it to work, angle it too far to the left or right and you lose connection. If you are sitting Directly in front of your Computer, it shouldn’t be a problem. UNLESS it’s in your lap and a piece of your clothing is just barely covering the sensor. 🤦‍♂️ Biggest problem for me was that the Touch pad itself has it’s own little shortcut to minimize a program and open up your widgets/news/weather…etc. This is a HUGE problem for me, because it keeps happening unintentionally just from using the touch pad normally. If I’m playing a game or doing anything it’s a pain to constantly have to close my widgets and have to reopen my program. UNLESS it’s in your lap and a piece of your clothing is just barely covering the sensor. 🤦‍♂️ Biggest problem for me was that the Touch pad itself has it’s own little shortcut to minimize a program and open up your widgets/news/weather…etc. This is a HUGE problem for me, because it keeps happening unintentionally just from using the touch pad normally. If I’m playing a game or doing anything it’s a pain to constantly have to close my widgets and have to reopen my program. If this keyboard works well for others, I’m happy for you, it’s just not a good fit for me and how I would like to use it.
This keyboard is a replacement for the K400r. It is OK, but I like the "r" version much better for two reasons. First, the r version had a separate power button to put the PC to sleep which is very helpful for a media PC when you remember you didn't put the PC to sleep until that AFTER you have turned off the TV. This version has this power function on combo key where you have to press FN key in conjunction with the key for the power function. This works but isn't as nice as having the sparate key. The second thing is the mouse buttons are more narrow top to bottom such that I was always feeling the yellow cosmetic divider that runs along the top of the mouse buttons.
