The problems I've encountered with the majority of Nespresso-alternative pods are 1. Design and/or manufacturing tolerance are not good enough to produce a tight seal once inserted into the machine thus allowing water to leak into the drip tray. This affects the water pressure through the pod which, in turn, affects the resultant flavour. 2. Coffee grains are packed either too tightly or too loosely resulting either in too little water flowing into the cup or the water not remaining in contact with the grain for enough time for the flavour to leech from the grains into the water. 3. I keep coming back to buying this coffee for my latte macchiatos even though I buy my Nespresso coffee capsules in bulk from the Nespresso website. But none of them taste quite as divine as L'Or's. Deep, rich and absolutely beautiful when you make it espresso-strength instead of as a lungo in a latte macchiato. A double shot and I'm in heaven during the morning at my desk at work sipping my macchiato from my Thermos travel mug. Every mouthful is like amber nectar. Delish! I cannot recommend this coffee more highly. It does help that the capsule looks so pretty too:-).

Nice coffee flavour but the rims of these capsules have a ridge that makes them non-compatible with macines other than L'Or machines resulting in a heavy leakage of water into the machine. I've spoken to L'Or about this, it's a real problem. We've bought our last L'Or capsules.

Been a Tassimo user for some years but wanted to switch over to recyclable aluminium pods (my wife cuts them open after use and empties the coffee out). The choice of coffee is very good with LOR. The Phillips Machine is better than our previous Tassimo Machines, it's much easier to clean and use (so far, we've had NO burst pods resulting in the coffee grounds making a mess of the machine). So it's all been very good.
For those of us of a particular vintage, a wee lift of a morning is sometimes required in order to get all our systems on line. A cup or three of L'Or number 13 is just what the doctor ordered. A fine robust coffee that isn't bitter. Smooth with character, some coffees manage to taste like a coffee coloured drink, this isn't one of them. Enjoy.
These are true lungo capsules and can be made with a long shot of coffee. They were intense, reminiscent of good, strong, filter coffee. However there's nothing special in the coffee flavour, no notes of chocolate or fruit, no floral or herbal edge to the blend, just ordinary coffee. Although the capsule itself was higher quality, I didn't find the flavour of these any better than own brand capsules, I bought them on promotion and cost then was equivalent to my regular own brand which I'll stick with, would buy these again if others were unavailable.
L'Or, lungo profundo capsules delivefrs abulous coffee. My new L'OR barrista pod machines delivers superb coffee ranging in sizes from espresso to a proper mug full. Getting the pods direct from L'OR gives some massive savings and prompt delivery. Wish I'd discovered L'OR pods and machines sooner.
A nice, short drink. Just the right amount for a quick coffee when you're busy. Although I hesitate to use the rather bland word "nice", I think that best describes this blend. It's pleasant, inoffensive. I will try some others, but I'm pretty happy with this.
These are Nespresso compatible and are much cheaper per coffee. flavour wise these are comparable with many of the Nespresso flavours, however Nespresso still have a few special ones that you can only obtain directly. However, these are more than good enough for most daily coffees, the Profundo is a deep, dark, tasty espresso that does the job. purchased this product on offer.
This is my favourite Nespresso alternative pod brand and is widely available in supermarkets. It produces a smooth coffee full of flavour. The quality of the coffee is superb and the coffee is really aromatic. is The pod is recyclable which is a plus. Bought as part of an offer but I would be happy to buy it at full price too.
