Ok so backstory… when my newborn daughter would sleep, never failed she would wake up as soon as we set her down or when she startled. It got to a point where she was sleeping on my chest because I just needed some sleep. Well one night on a whim I purchased this when I was desperate and sleep deprived. I bought about 5 different types of popular swaddles. This was the only one that worked! I cannot say how much I love this now. It has been over a month that I’ve used it and my daughter sleeps through the night in her crib with this all the way through until her next feeding. These have been an absolute life saver. It was really tight around her torsos and kinda on her neck. She is only 8 pounds and a small was to small. We only tried it for 2 days and gave up. Even in her deep sleep, when we put her down. She would wake up. She looked uncomfortable in it. If your trying out different swaddles I would still try this one out. So many people love it and just because my baby didn’t. My daughter just turned a month old, and is too strong for her swaddle blankets now (breaking free). Her startle reflex is terrible. She takes forever to fall asleep, and wakes herself constantly when not tightly swaddled. Her swaddle blankets did a great job containing her reflex, she got peaceful sleep. she’s just too strong to wear them now & I do not want her breaking free for safety reasons. I wanted to get her a safe swaddle that she couldn’t break free from. She does like to self soothe with her hands by her face, so I thought I’d give this swaddle a try. After a week of miserable sleep, I’m returning this product. I tried to give it time, but it’s not for us. While it keeps her safe, it does not contain her startle reflex at ALL. Game Changer!!! I bought this
19 June 2022

Game Changer!!! I bought this for my cousin for her first born as someone bought one for me 8 years ago, I was about 3 months into having a new bub and could not for the life of me get the knack of how to swaddle, her arms would always get out, it would come loose and she would of course wake up and then our lovely neighbour bringsover a ‘little something' for the baby and my life completely changed. I purchased more and then as she grew I got onto the next level where you can gradually take off the wings to migrate to a sleeping bag and then the added bonus there was again no more waking up due to being cold or hot , perfect temperature control all year round with the love to dream swaddles.I would recommend this to anyone who is expecting or already has a ... MoreGame Changer!!! Good concept but design could hurt infant
26 October 2022

I really liked this swaddle for my 1 month old at first. I like that it’s certified for hip health, easy to use, let’s babies have their hands up near their face, and is well constructed. Unfortunately the design of the arm and neck section make it so if your baby tries to raise their arms in front of their body, the collar at the back cuts into their neck. This rubbed my baby’s skin raw giving her a rash before we noticed what was happening, which explains why she was getting less and less sleep. It was so tight at times I couldn’t even get a single finger under the collar, despite having the correct size according to instructions. Sadly we had to go back to using the velcro straight jacket swaddles.

I had purchased one swaddle
25 February 2023

I had purchased one swaddle bag before baby was born, but for some reason just persisted with blanket swaddling after we came home from hospital. After a particularly bad night (colic), we pulled it out to try. He had the best night sleep in 4 weeks, so we purchased more and sleep has been much better since! It's so much easier to put a sleeping baby into these than it is to try and wrap, and it puts gentle pressure on their bellies to help with gassiness. We noticed that with the pressure the bag puts on his belly, and being less restricted around his legs, baby has been able to move much better to ease his tummy pain and get gas moving. We have just hit 8 weeks now, and I'll be buying some transition bags soon - really happy we found these!

Ineffective for our baby
5 April 2022

A lot of baby items are hopeful attempts at securing baby while addressing things such as startle response and fussiness. My 1 month old didn’t care for it though she seems to prefer a hands up sleeping position. It’s very well constructed. The Jersey fabric is soft and considerably thinner than the fleece swaddle she is used to.I noticed a definite difference between the “securing” aspect of this swaddle and our fleece - normal wrap - version. This doesn’t secure baby as much and as a result allows for excess movement that my baby struggles with while trying to get to sleep and staying that way. This is not to say that this swaddle won’t be appropriate for a later stage in my baby’s development. She current is 21.5 inches and 9.7lbs. Maybe an increase in size ... MoreA lot of baby items are hopeful attempts at securing baby while addressing things such as startle response and fussiness. I do plan on using it later on down the line, but as for now it just doesn’t work.It may work for your baby though.

Love this zip up swaddles for my baby
19 April 2023

We have been struggling with swaddling our newborn. He is so strong that he eventually wrestles out of any type of swaddle that we try with him, but if we do not swaddle him, his startle reflexes keep him awake. I was hesitant on what size to buy because he is growing quickly and I wanted the one we ourcjase to last longer than 2 weeks. He is 10 lbs now and the small would likely not last long. I ended up taking a chance and ordering the medium. It has worked out fine, it is a little big but not enough to cause any issue or concern and still works is effective. It is light enough for him to wear with the warm weather we are now getting.

Skeptic to believer!
15 April 2023

I was a skeptic about the cost/benefit here but I was shocked at my babies reaction to this! My baby would get upset and seemed claustrophobic when we put her in traditional swaddles. She’d fight them so hard and when ever she woke up at night she’d start fighting it again and was hard to console (even though they did help with the startle reflex). This was a game changer. She loves having her arms up by her face! She doesn’t ever fight this swaddle. I think her legs being free to kick around also helps with her gas! The little arm sections help tone down the startle reflex a lot. We use this for every single nap and bedtime. It’s hard to find time to wash it because she’s in it so much since newborns are always sleeping! I can’t recommend it enough. Thank goodness!
6 October 2022

Lately my baby has gotten out of his swaddle. We have been using Muslim blankets compared to a regular swaddle. When we brought him home from the hospital, we tried putting him a halo swaddle but he hated it. So we just continued to use the Muslim blankets. Got him all nice and tight. After three nights of him getting out I made sure to get something he couldn’t get out. Talked to my friends and asked what they use. They couldn’t say anything wrong with this one. Let’s just say I got 5 solid hours of sleep…I’m a happy mama! He loves it and we will continue to use it!

Swaddling has been around for a long time, as it helps to prevent the startle reflex. But forcing the baby’s arms to their sides or over their chest prevents two natural behaviors that frustrate the baby and they fight to get their hands free. Over 90% of babies sleep with their ARMS UP around their head when placed on their back to sleep. This is simply a baby’s natural and preferred way to sleep, just like in the womb! All babies are born with the need to SELF-SOOTHE by touching their face and sucking on their hands as they did in the womb. This medically proven behavior is how a baby calms and falls asleep on their own. Traditional swaddling prevents this. The patented wings on the Swaddle UP allow the baby to both sleep with their arms in their preferred ARMS UP position and gives enough movement so they can SELF-SOOTHE, all while calming down the startle reflex. The snug fit from our 4-way stretch fabric creates a familiar and secure feeling just like in the womb to calm the Moro (startle) reflex. Does not contain flame retardants or any harmful chemicals. 1.0 TOG is perfect for any season!
