In recent years it has been annoying that spreadable butter often consists of only maybe half butter, with all sorts of other often illdefined things added. I used to search for the ones that were only butter, having to always check ingredients small print. Then I saw this butter blended with rapeseed oil, and I am OK with rapeseed oil, so I have been using it. Flavour is quite pleasant, if a bit bland, but it tends to go runny on toast, I studied the ingredients info on the pack. The various percentage figures are confusing, but it looks like it includes 20 to 25 water Seems high for product that is not cheap

I think people are crazy for buying this . You can make your own spreadable butter at home by buying a block of butter then whipping in oil. Far far cheaper than paying out £5 whilst people buy this the price will always stay high n never come down . This is the problem with consumers we drive prices higher . Just dont buy it for awhile prices will soon come down plus it's a single use plastic container. So much for caring for the environment

I refuse to have anything else. It has to be lurpak. I don’t care how much it costs as nothing compares.I have had it on my crumpets for breakfast , used it when mashing carrots and turnip for lunch and will be using it to butter my bread for a chicken sandwich later. It has to be the slightly salted. Just perfect.
I've been using Lurpak for nearly 50 years. My nana refused to use anything else. My mum prefered a more yellow salty butter, so I was brought up with both options.I'v most definately made my choice and most definitely living in the Lurpak camp.I like it best melting slowly over new potatoesor the key ingredient in my shortbread, butter icing or baklava, lemon butter trout........I could go on and on, but I'm off to make some hot buttered toast.
Lurpak is the best butter product. Unsalted and low salt Lurpak are favourites with my family. We have to look after our health these days. The easier spreadable is great for sandwiches; no tearing the slices🙂 It’s true that Lurpak is good for cooking. We all love omelettes wih mushrooms cooked with Lurpak. I particularly like the Lurpak with garlic for savoury dishes. Garlic flatbread Yum!
The spread undoubtably tastes great _BUT and a big BUT Sadly this ALSO has Rapeseed oil as a softener; The rapeseed is linked with build up of inflammation.I know of a few people who have been told to stop this spread because of the Rapeseed oil, which is flooding the UK food market and is in everything from Oat milk to butter spreads. Not recommended for memory conditions or any conditions with inflammatory issues. Many health conditions must avoid rapeseed and actually old fashioned butter in this case is best. The only brand I can see Ocado stocking without rapeseed is President Butter, which seems to be softened with cream.
Due to high blood pressure I buy many unsalted products many of which are pretty awful. I am happy to say that although this is unsalted I still find it tasty. Yes it’s quite expensive but worth it, as in an effort to save money I bought an alternative which was not good. I could not get back to thisbrand quick enough.
I used to always buy clover and not lurpak because of the price difference but I was hooked a few years back (mainly because of harvester!) LOL. I have always bought on offer and orignal price was £7ish before (before this hiking prices), £7 is ridiculously expensive but buy when on offer! £5-5.50 is a lot of money but it lasts me about 2-3 stretching months.lurpak taste delicious in freshly baked roll/baguette, can't go wrong! Nom nom.
