Hello Christmas pudding. There’s nothing like a steamed Christmas pud, and this mix is ideal! I can’t stand having huge amounts of leftovers that sit in the cupboard, so the bag size is great. They rehydrated really nicely in the ‘liquid’ before going in, and the texture was perfect! I also popped some in my sons lunchbox and they didn’t come home so…winning!

Perfect for xmas treats and desserts! Macro always produce and make such high quality product!This sample couldn't had come at a better time, as I really only mainly use dried mixed fruit at Christmas time when baking desserts such as puddings and fruit cakes etc. The mix was great value and great quality of dried fruit inside! I have would be happy to purchase this product in the future when required to make more of these baked goods! Now to find other recipes that incorporate dried fruit so I can use the rest of the bag!

Love the big bag. I had trouble locating these in about three different Woollies I went to. Finally found it. It was OK as a snack (between meals) but it was lacking in fruit variety, a lot of focus on sultanas. I have added mixed nuts to break it up a bit. I also tried to find other uses for the fruit and found it goes well in porridge. The birds also don’t mind the excess of sultanas either. Love the big bag. I probably wouldn’t buy these again but this more a personal preference than the result of the product.

Perfect for Fruit Cake and Christmas Cake! This Dried Mixed Fruit is such a versatile product. It can be eaten by itself as a snack, mixed with other things to make scroggin to take on outdoor activities, added to muffins and cakes or on top of porridge/oats. I like the variety of fruits in this mix - many more than I expected there to be. Dried fruit lasts a long time, which is helpful given how big 1kg is!I will definitely be using this to make fruit cake and Christmas cake in the months ahead. This is a very effective way to purchase the fruit required for the recipes rather than buying the dried fruit individually!I would purchase this again, but likely the smaller size!

Mostly sultanas. Needs more variety of fruit. I feel like there could be more variety here, such as bananas, apple, pineapple, pawpaw. It seems to mostly be fruit of the raisin/sultana variety, which my partner isn't a fan of. I was excited for dried mixed fruit, but it mostly tastes like sultanas with a few cranberries. There's supposed to be dried apricot in there too according to the ingredients, but I haven't found much of that. A little disappointing. I wouldn't buy it.

Great addition to my Brekkie. This has been a great addition to my breakfast oats. I needed an extra little kicker of flavour. The flavour of the dried mixed fruit certainly provides enough additional flavour without being too overpowering. I am going to use these to also explore making some oat cookies and look to make my own muesli and add in this, providing me with some great options and versatility. The items are not too dry either and I have been able to have these as extra snacks by themselves.

Bag of sultanas. If this were marketed as a bag of sultanas with a few bonuses, it would score higher. The ingredients show it contains 5% cranberries, 10% apricots, and 85% sultanas/currants - barely enough of anything different to even notice. As sultanas go, they’re fine. If you’re going to market something as mixed fruit, having only 85% of it be the same thing seems misleading. I also found it very hard to find; despite being a Macro brand it was in the baking aisle rather than the natural foods aisle.

A little disappointed with this. I thought mixed fruit had glace cherries and mixed peel in it? I was disappointed to find these two key ingredients for my Christmas pudding missing from the Macro mixed fruit. I would have expected a better product from Macro. I haven't tried the pudding yet, so I can't comment on the tast of the mixed fruit.

Great all rounder. Successful for baking, making trail mixes and homemade muesli bars. Not too moist and sticky which is great for combining with nuts and seeds. Not too dry which is great for baked goods. Great price when special prices come along.

Delish. Dried fruit is good value, whether it's for a snack or to use in baking. It also keeps for a long time. The great thing about the Macro Dried Mixed Fruit is that it has cranberries. This adds enough tartness to provide contrast and flavour impact. There are also dried apricots which are also delicious. I add the dry fruit when I make the porridge in the morning and the bites of fruit are always a pleasant surprise. We will be buying this again.
