Great taste, easy to cook + benefits of organic farming. We use this product and the Macro Organic Extra Lean Mince regularly. We try to buy organic for all our meat products for ethical and health reasons. Great staple for many dishes, bolognaise, lasagne and burgers being our favourites. I like to mix the extra lean and lean together for minimum fat content while still retaining the 'juicy' factor particularly when making burgers. Great taste, easy to cook with the benefits of organic farming.

Delicious and organic. Loved this mince, was flavoursome and not dry at all even though at first glance it looked like it was going to be. I would normally buy the 95% mince as I find non organic 90-10 can be to oily for some recipes but this one wasn’t extra oily at all. I loved that it didn’t have a strong odour when first opening or even during the cooking process. Great colour and broke apart easy. I made this into meatballs and they were so tender and flavoursome. The price is good for organic grass fed mince. Would be great if came in 1kg packets. As I would of like to make a double batch using just this mince but only 1 pack on shelf so bigger packs would be handy. compared to regular heart smart mince it is a bit of a jump in price so when it comes to making ... MoreDelicious and organic. Good Product. . Had a bit of difficulty identifying this sample, as very much like the last sample. But after checking and double checking we got there in the end. Due to my red meat allergy, I was unable to sample this product personally. However, hubby yet again stepped up to the mark – lucky him. Immediately he said that the mince looked and felt of lesser quality than the “beautiful premium mince (grass fed) he had tried for the last Bunch sample”. He said this product contained more fat and less colour than the last sample. However, he also said that this was still an excellent product in its own right. Ticks all the organic boxes - hormone free. Good value for money. He made spaghetti Bolognese with it. Thank you for the opportunity to try
Great mince, sells out quickly, so pleased staff helped. The Staff member at my local Woolies was unpacking the meat when I entered the store. I couldn't find this mince on the shelf and asked him. He said that it was still to be unpacked and he said it would be on the shelf in five minutes... sure enough I did my other shopping and doubled back and the mince was on the shelf. There seems to be so many different 'mince beef' packs with minimal differences, organic, premium, lean. Maybe different colours or designs could make the choosing easier for customers. Some mince comes in paper packaging but this one came in plastic. We loved this mince and made it last 3 meals spread between 3 in our household with veges. Would buy again.
Organic & Lean. Lean mince beef is definitely my choice when it comes to mince and I did love the flavour of the Macro mince in my chow mein. However, I don't know enough about organic meats, if they have health benefits or the reason for the higher cost in the product. The product was fresh and had a week before expiry at purchase. It was a little tricky to find as 2 stores in my area don't stock the product. I would purchase the product again but I also think I should do some research to understand organic meats better to honestly justify the price difference between the standard lean mince.
Who knew mince could taste so good! Ok, full disclosure, I am not a huge fan of mince at the best of times. The smell of it cooking puts me off, there’s just something about it I don’t like . I was so surprised when I cooked this mince, no smell, no water, no fat in the pan. Yes it’s pricey at $13. 75 per 500gms but it tastes clean. I used my sample to make burgers , delish and have since bought it to make taco bowls, equally delicious. While I wish the price was more affordable, I will happily buy this over other supermarket mince and thank Bunch for the opportunity to try. % repeat purchase!
Not Grown with Pesticides or Hormones. I love the Macro branded meat, especially the organic range. Organic meat is far healthier than conventional grown meat. Cattle aren't administered hormones or antibiotics when they are sick and are not raised with synthetic pesticides. I made beef mushroom burgers with my sample and my family enjoyed them. The meat was juicy, delicious, no water came out of the meat when it was cooked, no strong beefy smell or taste and because it's a "little" less expensive, I would purchase this organic mince again. It would be great if the Macro organic beef mince (and all cuts of organic meat) was on sale regularly, just like other cuts of conventional meat are on sale.
Family favourite. Mince has been out of stock recently, but was back on the shelf when I picked up this sample. The packaging could be better as it wasn’t distinctive - perhaps a bigger label with a larger organic logo? Each pack had a limited use by date (5 days) which isn’t what I expect. It was easy to use and my family members who eat meat enjoyed it made into burgers. At $27. 50 a kilo is is expensive, but decent for an organic option. I would consider it if the branded option (Cleavers) was not available but usually purchase the grass fed option.
Shepherd's Pie. Rolling in with the free sample of different varieties of mincemeat lately, which is really great to have, as I can make main meals with it and have different choices. A basic and staple food that gives me a lot of choices to cook. A versatile product that is again open to one’s imagination and design on what and how you use it. The product was 500 grams of organic lean beef mincemeat, and as it is now winter, decided to make a hearty, warm meal. Shepherds pie was the meal with this mince but I added onion, carrot, peas, beans and corn for extra body and texture. Topped with lots of mashed potato and grated cheese. Just the right amount of mince with 10% fat. Although the mince was organic (was certified that it was Australian Certified Organic with a certificate number), I could not really taste the difference to any normal mincemeat. I guess they say it is healthy for you and it is good for the animal freely to roam the pastures or the paddock, or is it something special in the grass? The price is generally the same as the normal mince and overall I will probably make a change and buy it.
