Compared to the Woolies brand regular sultanas (that still claim no artificial colours, flavours or preservatives - despite disclaimer about possible sulphites) they are not as economical, but that is not always the key criterion. These Turkish sultanas were tasty, and well packaged. I will be nibbling on sultanas as a healthy snack & would be great in school lunch boxes. The packaging did feel nice, better than the cheaper sultanas. Now reason why I didn’t award 5 stars. - Grown in Turkey, not in Australia. They still had 6 months on the Best Before date so I wouldn't have thought they would be dried out. Sunflower oil is added presumably to stop them clumping together- thankfully I couldn't taste this. Bull pack = big savings. We go through heaps of sultanas here and this organic bulk pack is great value. Easy to seperate sultanas which taste delish straight from the pack. Sultanas are plump and juicy. I portion these into little containers for on the go snacking, add to porridge and baking etc The resealable bag keeps the sultanas fresh and buying this way is much cheaper than the little packs.

I would normally buy the Sunbeam branded one as it is value for money and the brand is trusted and known. Not that Macro Organics isn't great - I often prefer their nuts over other brands. For this particular product, the sultanas were juicy and soft and kept well in the packaging - I quite like the resealable pack as there is only two people in my household, we don't eat a lot of sultanas and would need to store it for another use.
