Cladded from 5 layers of metal for even heating and expert searing, this Award-Winning chef favorite lasts a lifetime. Made in Italy and USA from Domestic and Imported Components Premium 5-Ply Construction Stay-Cool Handle Compatible with Gas, Electric, and Induction Cooktops Meet a true kitchen workhorse. Crafted in Italy and the USA from 5 layers of metal, the Stainless Clad Frying Pan delivers a durable, easy-to-clean cooking surface with superior heat conduction and distribution. This 5-ply construction means far more searing and flavor-building, and far fewer hot spots and burnt-on messes. The Frying Pan yields crusty butter-basted steaks, pan sauces that come together faster, and crispier, lacier edges on perfectly fried eggs. The curvature of the walls is calculated for deeper searing and easier flipping, while a rolled rim allows you to pour sauces without spilling. The hollow build of our proprietary Stay Cool Handle dissipates heat to keep it from getting scalding hot while on the stovetop. This means the heat stays on your ingredients, not your hands. Discover the difference that over-engineered cookware makes in your most-loved meals.

12" Round Skillet Meeting Our Needs

It seems to have been reviewed well and believe I may have seen reviews that said some things would stick to it, unlike a modern coted stick-free pan. But, I was looking for aluminum-free and a round 12", well-made. It has aluminum, but it is 5-layered and aluminum in 2 of the layers between other materials. I like it except for the sticking of things like scrambled eggs, but other than that, I believe it is a very well-made frying pan and not too heavy such as an iron skillet, and a better price than some skillets. I also purchased a smaller glass frying pan elsewhere at the same time, so I have these plus my Westbend Aristocraft pots, pans, skillets, that I bought approximately 1974, but didn't have a round skillet. The latter are in very good condition, too. ... MoreIt seems to have been reviewed well and believe I may have seen reviews that said some things would stick to it, unlike a modern coted stick-free pan. This pan was horrible! I got it, I cleaned it, I dried it well and then I made scrambled eggs in the pan. I used avocado oil. The scrambled eggs stuck to the pan so bad that soaking it overnight in hot soapy water did nothing. Then after scrubbing diligently I soaked it again and the next attempt to get out of the grunge from the egg sticking I used stainless steel cleaner and that did not work. Then I used baking soda and that did not work. Then I used baking soda and vinegar. I soaked it again in hot soapy water. That didn't really help so then I boiled water in the pan. The box and its packing is beautiful, like unboxing a culinary version of an Apple product. The handle has an intuitive and comfortable shape and a slightly knurled brushed finish which provides a secure hold in the hand. Picking it up, the pan feels substantial in the best way: heavy enough to feel solid like a tank, but light enough to be easy to manipulate and move around. Placed on the induction cooking surface, it was perfectly flat. I placed a marble in the middle. It didn't move: perfection. I placed an ice cube in the middle and 6 around the perimeter, and then slowly heated the pan. The ice cubes melted symmetrically. Beautiful! I let the water evaporate and then poured a couple tablespoons of cold-pressed grapeseed oil. It stayed in a perfect circle in the middle and slowly radiated outward symmetrically. I added minced garlic and minced vidalia onion. It cooked beautifully; the ingredients fragrant. I added chicken, rosemary sprigs, paprika, and multi-colored fingerling potatoes. The food never crusted, the surface heated uniformly, and it was a pleasure to move the ingredients around. I played the food. Delicious. And cleaning off the pan under the faucet once it cooled down was a cinch. It wiped down easily and looked brand-new again.I'm so happy with this pan. And I say this as someone who was not at all happy with a prior MadeIn product.I bought a carbon steel paella pan months ago. I followed explicit directions to heat the pan slowly, even when seasoning with grapeseed oil just like in the MadeIn website videos. But then it warped and wobbled terribly on the induction surface. I reached out to MadeIn about a replacement. They kindly agreed. I tried using the new one in the same careful way again. I reheated super slowly from low to medium over 20 mins — and it warped immediately on the first use. Horrible. It's a beautifully finished product, but too finicky for normal execution. It's a product that requires re-tooling; I'd suggest making the metal gauge thicker.I sent them video evidence of the warping happening in real time. They didn't argue. They agreed and MadeIn immediately sent me this new stainless pan as a replacement and let me keep the warped carbon steel pans for baking & grilling.Class act, service wise. While I would politely stay away from the paella pan, this 12" stainless pan is a home run. No wonder Grant Achatz uses it at Alinea un Chicago.

Bought earlier than expected
20 January 2023

I bought 3 pans a few weeks ago in the 10 inch size, one of them being the stainless steel. I had only used it once or so but I knew after using it, along with the others, that I would be upgrading my old pans down the road. I was going to wait to see what I liked best but I know I wanted the 12 inch. I got an email about prices going up 10% due to material costs so they advised that it was a good opportunity to get pans at the current cost before they went up. I also had a $10 gift from my last purchase. So to save a few dollars I decided I needed to pick up at least one more pan. After some back-and-forth in my head on what I wanted I went with the stainless. It does take some getting used to but there are a lot of benefits to stainless with the biggest thing for ... MoreI bought 3 pans a few weeks ago in the 10 inch size, one of them being the stainless steel. Disappointing

First impression: The pan arrived with a small dent on the handle, I didn't think it was a big deal. Then saw some scratches on it, again, thought it's ok doesn't mean anything, it's stainless steel and probably got scratched while someone was packaging it.Cooking: I followed the instructions to the t and watched their video on how long to heat it up etc. But whatever I cooked stuck on terribly, especially salmon. And the pan isn't stable. It rocks as I'm stirring, flipping etc. I put it on a flat surface and I can see it is slightly warped and not completely flat/even and that's why it rocks.Cleaning: been a nightmare everytime. I followed the instructions, again, and watched their video. Yes it works and the pan gets okayish clean but unfortunately the stains ... MoreFirst impression: The pan arrived with a small dent on the handle, I didn't think it was a big deal. Looks like you have to use barkeepers friend for every wash up and scrub a lot. I would post photos but can't see an option here.Overall, disappointing, annoying to work with and definitely not worth the price tag. I could have bought any other stainless steel pan and have all these problems.

A dish made with Sautéed onions, zucchini, onion, spinach and garlic which are part of quiche made with tofu then baked in the oven. ( the sautéed ingredients were blended into a separate baking dish) Pan cleanup was a snap since nothing was stuck or burnt and used the hot water heated in the pan trick to release what little bit was stuck and finished up with soap and water hand wash. We finally are free of all nonstick pans and look forward to many years cooking with these pans.

It's Made In for me from now on.
26 August 2023

I spent countless hours on the Net researching the pots and pans industry. I looked at many different brands and listened to many "opinions" - the one I valued the most was Andrew Palermo with Prudent Reviews. Initially, my first purchase was from All Clad and purchased D3 Everyday. After watching Rhoda Boone and her perfect steak video, I decided to purchase some Made In products. I haven't put them all to the test, but I can tell you that I very much love the handles. All Clad's D3 Everyday collection is nice, but severely limited... Made In seems ... MoreI spent countless hours on the Net researching the pots and pans industry. Made In has a wider selection of products that have superb handles. I've decided that from here forward when I need to purchase a cookware product, I'll be checking what Made In offers before going anywhere else. Made In seems genuinely interested in the opinions from people on the front line that cook everyday for a living, and those like me who just love cooking for the family. All-Clad I think is tone deaf, otherwise they would have scrapped all those terrible cupped handles and gone with something akin to what Made In has. After receiving my shipment from Made In, I regret my All Clad purchase. I'd be more upset if it were not the D3 Everyday. And while the All Clad D3 Everyday pan is nice, your products has them beat. The cooking ability of each is neck and neck, but the Made In handles are wonderful. I'm very happy with my purchase and will be looking for any discount opportunity in the future to completely transition my kitchen over to Made In. Thank you for striving for excellence.

Perfect quality, weight, and use

My new 8" stainless steel fry pan is perfect for me. Excellent quality. Great size for one or two person's cooking; remarkably lightweight for my arthritic arms and shoulders to handle, cook with, and store, and replaces my beloved carbon steel skillets when my recipes call for acidic ingredients like canned tomatoes, and sauces like marinara, fish, BBQ, or vinegar. Originally I seasoned the inside with smoking-point oil (grapeseed) using high heat to seal its pores to increase its non-stick properties. Now I use low heat over a gas burner after getting the pan hot using medium heat. And no one is permitted to clean it (or any of my skillets) except me. It's a posted house rule. Not made in China; mine was made in Italy. It's expensive, but you get more than what you paid for. Worth it! My forever fry pan.

Pan is limited to how many times you can consistently cook different items for one meal. Here's the scenario, heat up the pan, water droplet bounces around properly, great. Now throw your bacon on the pan, great it cooks. Tons of smoke will be produced while cooking that bacon. Bacon done? Great, now remove the bacon and add eggs, oops, the butter you tried to add instantly burnt, fed up, you cook and will eat them eggs anyway, by now your home has a good a amount of smoke radiating form the pan. Ready for the pancakes? Better not. That smoke is overwhelming and now you need to cool the pan to stop the smoke only to need to heat it back up again to cook the pancakes. At this point I’m sticking with hard anodized pans instead. I threw this pan in the trash, no point trying to clean it because with all the heating and cooling and spatter from each different food, it was going to take too much effort to clean an annoying pan. If you're buying to say, sear a steak only, better stick with cast iron, less smoke issues and you can sauté your mushrooms pretty much instantly once you're done searing that steak.

This is my wife’s and mine first stainless steel pan. After learning about the dangers of non-stick pans we wanted to try one, knowing we would need to switch out entire cookware at some point. The pan arrived in easily recyclable packaging, which we loved, and it looked stunning. I cycled it through about 10 cook cycles with water and vinegar first, to remove some of the nickel from the manufacturing, to further help us reduce the exposure to metals when cooking. The heavier 430 (I believe?) steel on the outside really adds to the handling ability of the pan and it feels solid in your hands. We watch a lot of cooking show and were absolutely reminded of a chef handling a pan, when holding it for the first time. We watch a lot of cooking show and were absolutely reminded of a chef handling a pan, when holding it for the first time. It has now been about a few weeks of using it and learning to cook with Stainless Steel and we could not be happier!! Not only does it sear meat perfectly, cook eggs flawlessly, but knowing we are healthier than using our old non-stick pants, food tastes so much better. Yes, it is a learning curve to switch and yes, food will stick and will be frustrating initially, but you will learn to use it properly and to care for it properly and like everything else in life that was a challenge to acquire, you value it so much more for it. We are going to look for Christmas to completely exchange our current cookware to Made In. Thank you for designing and manufacturing such an incredible product! Maybe in the future you can make a pan smaller than 8”, as our son loves cooking his quesadilla egg breakfast sandwich in the morning and a 6” would be perfect for it!
