Magic Keyboard, Keyboard Hardware/Electronic

Absolutely, Loveeeee this keyboard. I have purchased a Jelly Comb dock/keyboard mouse bundle on amazon before and loved it very much as it has done me wonders and gave me a good typing experience. Although the mouse died out of no where so i was stuck with just the keyboard. I figured If I’m just gonna use a keyboard then I might as well use the apple one. I purchased this with Big expectations and was blew out of the water. The typing experience feels wonderful. I feel I can type fast and accurately, feeling every press of a key. Sleek, Beautiful and matches the Apple setup I have going on. I was worried at first it didn’t come in the amazon package but then was surprised by the size of it. It’s wonderful and works amazing. The Apple Magic Keyboard is a great, lightweight keyboard with wireless function and charges by USB. I am really glad that the Apple Magic Keyboard does not require battery requirement and charges by USB cable or other device. It saves money on purchasing batteries. I wished it came with a storage bag or velvet Apple Magic pouch for home or traveling purpose. Something sturdy to place keyboard to protect from dust or other debris. I also wished the Apple Magic Keyboard were made in arrange of different colors like the infinite Ipods. Please bring back the Ipods! 🙂 I enjoy keyboards to be universal with other Apple devices. Compra verificada Too expensive? You betcha. Quality product? Oh yeah. There is a lot to like about the Magic Keyboard for 5th Gen. iPad Pros. It's a solid, well-built product that is probably too expensive by half, but I'm pretty sure anyone who purchases one knows that going in. Keyboard: The keyboard is pretty-great all around. I use my M1 MacBook Pro on a daily basis, and while typing on this doesn't feel quite identical, it isn't far off. The key travel is really great and the space/size is perfect. I wish it had a row of function keys, alas. Trackpad: The trackpad is nice enough. It is very responsive both in terms of moving the cursor and clicking on apps and tasks. I do wish that more apps utilized gestures and features of the Magic Keyboard, but I can't really fault the product for that. It's not MacOS, after all. Quality: I really like the quality of this keyboard. It is slightly thicker than the previous gen keyboard to accommodate the slightly thicker 5th gen iPad Pro. It feels sturdy when the iPad is attached and I THINK it leans a little further back than the previous gen, which is nice. Overall, I like this product a lot. At the end of the day, if you're thinking that attaching this overpriced keyboard to the M1 iPad Pro is going to replace your laptop, that's probably not the case unless you're just surfing the web or using Amazon to shop. iPadOS is still the limiting factor in allowing an iPad to be an out-and-out alternative to a conventional laptop. That said, the Magic

I bought this keyboard after buying 3 other cheaper ones thinking this was too much money for a keyboard. Dont make the mistake I made of buying other keyboards that just dont measure up Is this a lot of money for a keyboard, yes, but think about what percentage of your time you spend on it and how often you need to buy a keyboard. This is the first time in 5 years I was looking for a new keyboard and dont plan on buying one for another 5 years. I look at it as buying a Lexus instead of a Toyota. Do they both do the job, yes. Does the Lexus do the job with more power, comfort and style. YES. Spend the money, its worth it.

Theres just something about the Apple Magic Keyboard that makes typing and using shortcuts for tasks a pleasure. Im not an Apple aficionado or welded to Apple products but typing on this keyboard has been designed to feel effortless and thats been my experience. The keys have just enough give and the shortcuts just work. I bought the fullsized keyboard because I use applications that require me to enter numbers everyday and the numbers section just works for me. This is a stylish keyboard that, yes, is more expensive than alternative brands but it feels like a keyboard thats been built to last and is well designed even to the point its easier to clean than traditional keyboards with less chance of crumbs etc getting between the spaced surrounding they Keys because ... MoreTheres just something about the Apple Magic Keyboard that makes typing and using shortcuts for tasks a pleasure. In short, it doesnt feel clunky or cheap as other keyboards do. Finally if you have a MacBook or iPad the Bluetooth connection and battery life between charges are flawless. A note on my experience of buying this from John Lewis delivered on time, I was kept fully up to date and the purchasing experience, as you would expect, was topnotch and professional.

Better than expected

So I recently purchased a Satechi Slim X1 to use with my iPad Pro. It is a great keyboard with some flaws that I did not fully realize until I decided to give the Magic Keyboard a try. So far it turns out that the features on the Satechi that I thought would be dealbreakers (e.g,, the backlighting; pairing with multiple devices) were actually features that ended up not being such a big deal. In fact, the backlighting on the Satechi is kind of messy looking, and after more than a month of using it, the multiple device pairing was not being used as much. As I have been working on becoming proficient with iPad keyboard shortcuts, it turns out that having a proper Globe key is much more practical that having to map the Caps Lock key on the Satechi. Also, I LOVE that the Magic Keyboard has a dedicated Do Not Disturb and device lock button. As I am using my iPad for screen mirroring when training people, this makes it super easy and convenient to deactivate the iPad’s notifications so that trainees do not see my personal alerts showing up on the projector screen. Also, the keys feel a little “tighter” than they do on the Satechi, which to me is a good thing. I realized that Apple’s scissor switches felt great when I tried out an iPad Magic Keyboard at a local Costco. Such a great feel from a thing keyboard! I think I’ll keep the Magic Keyboard and return the Satechi.

Update: Am I ever wrong? Ask Wife#1 and we all will agree. OWC has shown INTEGRITY, HONESTY and has maintained its stellar reputation. with their INTEGRITY. Never the less they simply do not make sounds louder, screen brighter, etc and serve no purpose at all. I am surprised with OWC as their integrity has been compromised. I've purchased devices previously and always been satisfied, however this time...I am out $70. Bad!! The product is fine, this particular device is not.

Great Keyboard

First off I have to mention that the battery life on the Apple Magic Keyboard is amazing. The less cords on my desk the better so I was happy to get a wireless mouse and keyboard with my Mac computer. Every so often, about 2 times a month, I’ll plug the cord into the keyboard when I am done working for the day and unplug it the next morning. With only charging twice a month I’ve never had an issue with my keyboard battery running out. The keyboard has a nice low profile sleek design. The keys don’t make much noise at all when you are typing, and that’s important to me because I work from home and am on my computer for many (too many!) hours a day. All in all, it’s a great keyboard! Highly recommend.

Highly recommend

The Apple Magic Keyboard is truly exceptional. Its sleek design seamlessly complements my workspace, and the keys offer a delightful typing experience with their satisfying feedback. The wireless connectivity is reliable, allowing me to effortlessly connect to my devices. The backlit feature is a game-changer, ensuring I can work efficiently even in low-light environments. The battery life is remarkable, providing me with extended usage before needing a recharge. The integration of the touch-sensitive trackpad is a brilliant addition, enhancing my productivity and navigation. Overall, the Apple Magic Keyboard is a must-have accessory, combining style, functionality, and innovation in a single package. It has undoubtedly elevated my computing experience.

New Apple Magic Keyboard on MacBook Air M1

I read and watched many reviews on the Logitech MX Key Mini and the Apple Magic Keyboard. The Logi does have more features: Supports more than one device, and has backlighting. At the store I tried both hands on. I purchased the Magic. Now at home I have been using it for several hours. I must point out that I have the excellent Logi K810, and I also own three Logi mice - great products. What I can say is that typing on the Magic is like "magic" for me. I hardly notice I am typing at all on a keyboard. It is like I am typing away on a cloud. As far as backlighting: The laptop monitor actually casts enough light on the Magic for me to be able to see the keys when I need. Last but not least, I did not have a need for multi device support - I wanted to be Apple centric when using the Air. I recommend the Magic for four reasons: In my case the typing experience is awesome, native Apple function support for all keys, the keyboard form factor is beautiful, and my Air connects seamlessly and almost instantaneously. Excellent product - hope it will last as most Apple products do.
