Overall I’m very pleased with the boots. As recommended when in the shop, the level of support to my wonky ankle is far better than my previous standard Magnums. But the zip gusset needs a little more length to allow the ankles to slide into the boots without the foot pushing the back down (which over time will become distorted). And/or it needs a heal pull loop that one can actually get our fingers through to actually pull up properly and plenty of strength in the materials used (not a cursory attempt at a pull loop for the look of things).

Boots are great, threw them on and got cracking, no dramas with rubbing or blisters, really comfortable, the zips make getting them on and off a doddle, feet stay warm and dry in the cold and wet. Had an issue that required replacement after almost 3 months but Molly from the customer service team (deserves a pay rise if her boss it reading this) was all over it, often when you buy online you're not sure how well looked after you'll be in the event of a problem but this company seem to be awesome at it based on my experience. Great boots, great company.

I have been wearing Magnums now on and off for the last 15 years. I have seen how each new boot takes off from the last. My last boots were top spec Haix which I got a lot of wear from and had no grumbles. The new Strike Force boot has my favourite feature of modern boots, the full side zip, which is what has tempted me to come back to Magnum. I have found with pretty much all my previous Magnums I have been able to get them straight out the box and wear them no problems with little or no “Break in” time. This was the same with these and although a solid boot I was able to get them on and get out on a 9 hr shift. The laces needed a bit of adjusting but otherwise a very comfy and supported feeling straight away. The obvious feature about these boots is the armour ... MoreI have been wearing Magnums now on and off for the last 15 years. This was the same with these and although a solid boot I was able to get them on and get out on a 9 hr shift. The laces needed a bit of adjusting but otherwise a very comfy and supported feeling straight away. The obvious feature about these boots is the armour gel panel on the side. The whole boot is a robust firm boot in the first place with an added panel for extra protection. I must admit I’ve been messing around hitting it and the gel works well without altering how the boot moves. I would query its location and hope that a future boot would put this gel panel across the tongue to protect the top of the foot while still being flexible. I can’t recall any previous boot offering as much protection around the ankle while still being light. I found the boot suitable for a mixture of tasks from office based, driving and foot patrol. I was fortunate to experience a wide range of weather conditions in the short time I have had the boot and again could not find fault. It was warm while not letting my foot sweat and kept the water out from puddles and rain. The look of the boot is classic Magnum with the Gel panel mounted on the outside covering the ankle. The boot is a mix of panels but they are big and plain so the boot looks good while being easy to keep clean as a result.Although it was the side zip that made me get these it’s the sole which is the real winner of this boot. I have never known anything be so reliable irrelevant of surface. The sole offers the 4x4 experience of boots. I found previously that some boots will let you down on a wet indoor surface the old night club toilet being one which springs to mind. Not these though, you feel you could literally walk up a glass wall. I have had no problems at all with the grip and so far they don’t appear to be wearing away in any particular spot. These are a great mid-price boot in my opinion, they have an outstanding feel and offer a lot of features. The quality is good and can’t see any other boot in this price range matching these. A great boot for anyone wanting a bit more than a basic boot.
I ordered these boots, they came in good time considering the nation was in mourning etc. They are great boots, unfortunately I had thought I’d bought the steel toed boots. I hadn’t and had to return them at my cost. It was a costly lesson to check the items description properly. Albeit £11-12 in postage in total. However I can’t fault the service, prompt and when I called customer services they were polite and easy to deal with also. I would use them again and also recommend them.
Super fast delivery, very well packaged, and as always a superb product. Thank you
These are very comfortable boots and you can wear them all day long.I am a heavy set man with a dodgy arthritic big toe, but these shoes help me get through 12 -16 hour shifts with no problems. The feet also don't "feel" tired afterwards. Very good for long distance walks/hikes.Shoe size, I am a 10.5, but they don't do half sizes, so I opted for a size 10. The 11 would have been too roomy, especially after wearing them for a while as they will expand a bit.As they are, they do feel a bit snug, especially when I wear them with thicker boot socks, but certainly not uncomfortable. The side zip is good and sturdy, which means you can lace the boots up permanently, and use the side zip for quick wear and removal.I recommend these boots, I only wish they would do half ... MoreThese are very comfortable boots and you can wear them all day long.I am a heavy set man with a dodgy arthritic big toe, but these shoes help me get through 12 -16 hour shifts with no problems. I ordered this pair of boots after reading the description provided that says "Waterproof membrane or waterproof bootie construction. Ideal for indoor/outdoor work where water exposure is required." with 4 stars for waterproofing. This is totally misleading. I live in St John’s, NL, Canada, and always have wet weather. Today was my first day at work with this pair of boots. We had only 1mm of water. Barely any running water on the street. Yet when I got home after walking 300m from my parking lot, both my toes were completely wet along with my very thick socks. This is very disappointing.I urge buyers not to waste their money on this, especially based on what Work Authority says about its products. My boots not only arrived after 9 business days (I was supposed to get them in 3-6 business days as per details offered on the webpage) but were also delivered via Canada Post, although I live in St John’s, NL, which is classified as a metropolitan area.I will test the boots again with water running on the streets and will update the review, but I’m sure it’s going to be worse when it comes to the only quality that made me pay for this shoe.
Brilliant service and return cash credit for alternative sized boot that was not requiredThe boot is exceptional value
These boots grow on you and get more comfortable as you wear them. They can put up with all kinds of condition and leave your feet dry and warm . They clean up easily as well and take all kinds of punishment without changing shape.
