I have dry to normal skin, with vitiligo and melasma. This goes on smooth and has a nice satin finish that layers beautifully with your chosen foundation. I love the peach color, under your foundation it seems to even out my vitiligo and melasma more. It's hydrating, and not just initially. My skin stays smooth and feeling frea al day. It also has this amazing scent that I haven't quite pinned down yet but it's a light floral citrus scent that I just love and it doesn't seem to wear off! This is a new must!

I've never had a great experience with makeup primer until trying this one! Typically, I experience pilling, or I find the primer to accentuate dry patches on my skin, but that was not the case with this Make Up For Ever Hydra Booster Primer. Instead, it really hides my pores and makes my skin feel incredibly smooth and soft. The first thing I noticed was the smell and it was absolutely amazing! It smells so good. I also love the little bit of tiny to it. It was on smooth and easy. I do feel a little went a long way in applying. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because I felt it could have been a little more hydrating. The is the main advertising here other then tint and I felt it was just ok on the hydrating department but other than that I do recommend. Overall I will be purchasing this in the future.

This Primer is lightweight and silky-smooth, gliding effortlessly onto my skin. The moment I apply it, I can feel my skin instantly becoming more hydrated and plumped, creating the perfect canvas for my makeup. Oh and did I mention the scent? It’s hardly there and I love that it doesn’t have any. If you are looking for a primer that will give you a radiant and hydrated complexion, this is the one to go for! I can’t atest to the hydration part because I still see dry patches around my mouth and chin. What I like about this primer, however, is it makes my makeup application really smooth. It has a mild scent but it is not bothersome. This is just Ok- slightly better than the Makeup Forever primer in gray tube (pore minimizer) and definitely better than Charlotte Tilbury Flawless filter but it’s nothing special. I would still choose my Milani Bright Side over this and I don’t think I’ll repurchase once I use this all up. I have tried several primers throughout the years. I have to admit that this primer is definitely a keeper. Now that we are entering the colder season, my skin is drier. The Make Up For Ever Step 1 Primer Hydra Booster kept my skin hydrated. I used this primer both alone and under my foundation. Under my foundation, this primer blended very well. This primer wasn’t heavy on my skin. I am quite happy with my results and definitely recommend trying this product.

I’ve been a fan of make up forever for a long time. I think their products are very great and this primer also is great. I used this primer years ago, but this is my first time using it again in a long time. I felt the quality and hydration was nice and I like the changes they made as it feels more effective. I have sensitive skin and it didn’t bother me at all. If you’re looking for a high quality primer, this would be a great choice. My only side note is that it’s on the smaller side in terms of the amount of product, but a little goes a long way.

A great option

I received this product complementary from influencer and exchange, for my honest, honest opinion, and review. I have extremely dry skin, and I find it necessary to prep and prime before applying my foundation so that it doesn’t get super dry and patchy. This is a great first step option. It is extremely hydrating. Fills in fine lines and pours. Makes skin tone even and is a perfect base to spread foundation. I do feel like it makes the application a lot easier. I will say it did make a couple of my foundations look worse. But with the right foundation, it really was an amazing flawless finish. I could see myself purchasing this again.

Just OK

This does feel hydrating immediately after putting it on. There is a slight scent but not overpowering. No burning or discomfort from it. The formula is a bit thin feeling. Unfortunately after the first hour or two I notice my typical dry skin issues. Outside of the “hydration” it offers I don’t feel it does much for my skin. May work well for someone who wants hydration but doesn’t actually suffer from dry skin.
