Makeup Revolution Reloaded Eyeshadow Palette - Marvellous Mattes

I was sick of shiny and sparkly colors, so I'm my search for mattes, I looked everywhere at the high end brands, except for Anastasia BH which is not commercialized in my country. I found this palette, loved it immediately. They were 1+1 free so I got another one from the same series. The same evening I made a yellow and terracotta makeup to for for, to go with a party I was going to. I am really happy with the payoff and staying power over primer, and can only recommend it.

I bought Newtrals2 because I badly wanted the Nars WANTED palette and it was the closest dupe I could find. I WAS SO IMPRESSED! I've stopped buying cheap eyeshadow years ago because pigment, quality, and blendability were always lacking. Financial strain had me resorting to dupes recently and this palette is definitely on par with my Tarte eyeshadows. I previously bought MR Banana powder on a whim and was impressed with the brand so I decided to give their palettes a try but I most certainly didn't expect this level of quality. I'm definitely buying the other 3 Reloaded palettes first chance.

This palette has 15 matte shades w lots of colour in it, however it is of subpar quality in my opinion. The formulas of the mattes across the palette are very inconsistent and most of them are very powdery. For example, the first yellow on the left is surprisingly okay, the quad of neutral and burgundy shades on the left work just fine. But some shades hit hard pan so fast and have no pigment, like the pink, purple and white. The other yellow is very chalky. I cannot get the lighter shades like the light blue to show up on my eyes. I would not recommend it otherwise, esp. for people who want to do vivid eye looks, since this palette provides mostly washes of colour which are prone to fading quite quickly. If you do use the palette for bright eye looks, definitely pair it w a solid eye primer that actually helps the shadow stick well to the eye so that the colours pop.

I am always looking for great matte colors. This palette caught my interest because I have used a few Revolution products and I liked them Also, this is the only matte palette that was not just a collection of rust shades. This palette has 4 great lighter shades and includes the regular warm and cool browns and a matte black which is always helpful. The shadows go on well and are buildable. I have had no trouble with blending and overall I LOVE this palette! It would be perfect for me for travel as you can do many looks with these colors and you always have a black for lining. For $12.99 I don't think you could have a better product. I highly recommend.

Bad

I now understand why people had bad eye reactions. More than half the palette in the provocative palette is unsafe for eyes! You can clearly see it’s non fda approved pressed pigment in more than half the pan! They even put a little eye illustration crossed out so you know not to use on eyes and another illustration saying ok to use on face! Yeah, no thanks I didn’t buy this to use half a pan of eyeshadows as blush! Ridiculous!

Colour Pop? Tips

I really like this for a softer look, but if you want a more depth look, add some of the darker shades, like the browns and blacks. Not only that, revoloution - They have a cut crease concelar. It makes the colours really vibe. I recomend. They're easy to work with. They're brighter than expected after reading some reviews but i thrink its also how you apply them, not the product itself. - If you're on a budget and or want to expeirement, try out this. If you're on a budget its good quality for the price. Oh and especially if youre just starting out and want to practice. This goes really well with either foil frenzy or galatic chocolate palette even tammi's new collab palette of the year. I love all my palettes from rev.

I love this eyeshadow pallete, specifically the Sugar Pie pallete. I keep having to buy a new one bc the pinks and reds work so much better than my blush with a light application. I also love the blue green and purple eyeshadow and have worn half of the pans completely out.

Loving it!

Gotta say, this is a pretty sweet deal. I grabbed the green-tone weed palette because I wanted to branch out of my pinks and rusts and still accent my pinkish skin and red hair. These shimmering cool greens are really doing it for me. The glitter ones are straight up glitter, the shimmery colors are well pigmented, and the golds are a really soft tone, not yellowish and weird. The only negative is that the glitters and some of the colors are too close for my liking. The matte browns, and the green glitters look so similar on the skin, there could've gone farther. Also, no cooling sensation, but totally not why I got this at all so don't really care. I'm thinking I'm gonna nab a few other color sets, for the price they're a bargain and the powder is dewy-soft.

Pigment of the colours

Makeup Revolution is to this day my favourite brand to use and I am always dying over the palettes. But i recently purchased Marvelous Mattes in a big beauty shop chain in Grece and I was let down. I didnt have the opportunity to test the palette because there was no tester but i instantly bought it because of the vibrant colors that spoke to me. The shadows are really dry though and there is barely any pigment. To make it work i had to apply really bright concealer on my lid and pack with my fingers and the patiently blend out the colors which are actually so beautiful. Revolution Reloaded "Provocative" Eye Shadow Palette Isn't Ver Pink

I bought this and I'm happy enough with the quality of the eye shadows but the color on the Target website really doesn't reflect the colors. Everything looks a lot more pink on the website, and this collection definitely has more brownish and warm toned pinks. The photo on the right is what's on the Target site and what I was expecting. The photo on the left is from the Google Shopping/Ulta Beauty and it reflects the true colors in this palette.
